Today I finally added one of my bucket list rifles to my assortment. Picked up this Smith & Wesson Stealth Hunter in 357 Mag with a Magpul ELG stock and Sig 1-6x24 optic for $1099 as a preowned. The load gate barely shows signs of use so it must of been lightly enjoyed by the last owner. Got home and threw on a Rugged muzzle device and hopped my Alaskan 360 on it. Now I have a six-round quiver shipping to add to the stock and then a two-round one for the hand guard. Can’t wait to hit the range with this thing! Happy to officially be a Space Cowboy 🤠

I absolutely love my M&Ps. Alas, as many have stated before me: not a fan of the triggers. No problem, right? There are countless aftermarket parts to choose from. Lemon squeezey. I dropped a Hyve Monarch trigger into my Shield. It is AMAZING. No slop, no take up. An absolute champion.
In my full size I dropped in a full Apex carry kit after hearing all of the glowing reviews. Trigger, guts, the whole bit. The trigger itself feels good to my fingertip. The take up/slop is just as bad as stock. I have to pull the trigger back at least 3/4 of it's travel before I hit the wall. The pull & reset are super crisp, so no complaints there.
How can I improve this?

I have gotten spoiled with my 1911/2011 triggers. 😂🤦🏻♂️ Now my M&P triggers feel mushy and heavy. Looking at kits for reducing overtravel and reset, as well as pull weight (from 5.0-5.5# to ~4.5-4.75 #).
These are edc pistols, so I don’t want it anywhere near as light as my 1911/2011 but want to clean up the pull and drop the weight slightly.
Have used Apex triggers in the past, but am looking at OVERWATCH Precision (2.0 and Shield X) Improvement Kit and/or their PolyDAT trigger kit.
Would appreciate any user thoughts and recommendations on this!

Been wanting to pick up a 10mm Carry comp but I’ve seen some stuff about mags popping out. Has Smith & Wesson fixed this or should I avoid it?

Here I got my mp shield plus I got back from pawnshop had forgot all about it and my 2.0
Thinking about giving the m&p 5.7 another shot had a new one with tines of mag and ejection issues due to the mags

Got the performance center version couple weeks ago, and probably between 2 range sessions maybe 600-1000 rounds or so on it?
So far I’m not sure about it in between two trips. My initial reaction shooting it on the first trip I really enjoyed it. I’m not a big believer in slide cuts or ports but was very surprised to notice that the port makes a difference especially when compared to shooting the non-ported version.
Couple of my concerns are:
The trigger. I wish that trigger didn’t have such a long reset, it’s something I can train away, but man it’s rough because if I don’t let it get to that point of reset I get that dead trigger and it bugs me. More user error than gun error. Just something I feel for a performance/or upgraded rather marketed gun, would be slightly better.
The extended mag.
It ran flawlessly first range trip, and wasn’t very hard to load. Today I probably got around the 6th to 8th round and without the assisted mag loader I couldn’t get it to move enough to add more rounds. Almost felt like it was stuck. Will take the mag apart and see what’s up. Was curious to see if anyone had seen or had any similar issues?
Had an interesting malfunction today.
Slide got kicked back so far it would not return to battery. Hitting with my hand (and purse) did not help. Had to smack that thing on the ground to get it. Never has that happen.
Any major issues or problems with your bodyguard? I’m going to continue to shoot this thing, but curious to see what others have experienced and their thoughts.
Silly question but has anyone mounted a red dot or get it milled for one? When looking at the new one it looks like there is a lot of room to have someone mill one on.

I have a 686 and a model 66 coming soon. I like the case club cases I’ve seen (for storing them) but think they might be overkill for carrying to the range every time. I still plan on getting at least one more handgun. What do you guys use?

Is it the same as the polymer 2.0 flat face (which I am totally fine with) or is it improved? I know all about the Apex but that’s not my intent here .

I got it around 4 years ago, I brought it out for cleaning and lubing. I just ordered new grips for it and I'm taking it to range next weekend. It runs reliable with Mec-Gar mags and has very smooth shooting.

I'm looking to upgrade my E-Series sights to Night Fision, but not sure which size is correct...anyone have the correct info?

So, I picked up my M&P 2.0 LE 5" gun yesterday. Pleased to see that, contrary to the description on the website, it does not appear to have a magazine safety. However, I was a little disappointed in that, while it's the correct SKU, it lacked the S&W bladed trigger, and instead has the older hinged trigger.
I had a hunch this might happen, given that I know the LE models often have the hinged trigger for whatever reason. I'm ok with it, though, since I was debating doing a trigger upgrade anyway. Now the only question is...which model?
The bladed trigger assembly from S&W will run $50 (plus shipping & taxes), whereas the Apex runs from anywhere between $110 and $180. What I'm wondering is whether the Apex is really worth the extra $60-130 performance-wise, if my goal is to achieve something similar to the Shield Plus' factory trigger. (I mean, I wouldn't complain if I could do better, but I want to know it's worth the extra for how much better it is.)
Also, if the Apex is worth the upgrade, I'd appreciate suggestions on what spring configuration would bring the feel closest to the Shield Plus.
Use case here is home defense/"duty" (I'm not law enforcement, so it's not really for duty).
For now, I'm limiting myself to just the trigger; holding off on barrel considerations just yet, but that may be on the list in the future.

I got the ed brown 15 and 13 pound spring, will i have to swap my striker spring as well ?
I noticed when the lighter springs the gun itself did not like going into battery and like to be a hair out just morbidly curious
Thank you
