Rules Update - Sales, Exchanges, and 3D Printing Files

The Reddit User Agreement and Reddit Rules have changed, including details related to Illegal or Prohibited Transactions.

As a result, some of the activities we have previously enjoyed must cease immediately.

From Reddit:

Users are not allowed to buy, sell, gift, or encourage the transaction of the following goods or services with other Redditors, whether implicitly or explicitly:

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, firearms parts and enhancements (e.g., bolt, clips, trigger, scope, silencer/suppressor, muffler, bump stock, magazine, Glock switch, conversion kit, etc.), or specific instructions (i.e., 3D printing files) to produce any of the aforementioned.

To simplify this:

  • No sales or exchanges of anything gun-related
  • No sharing or linking of 3D printing files for anything gun-related

All Reddit users have a responsibility to understand and adhere to the rules.  Ignorance of the rules is not a valid defense.

This is a zero-tolerance policy.

Francis Marion Trigger by Triggered Company. What do you all think? I haven't seen many posts about it. I'm a fan of three positions, and looks like it comes with the housing. As long as it isn't $600... I'm looking forward to it.

Binary Trigger came in! Found it under 200$!! Can I make it a drop -in?

I wasn't going to pay 500-700 for a trigger but still wanted a fun gun, and I found the Franklin armory binary trigger on sale for like $150 because the package was damaged and it's the non-drop in.

Can I buy a regular drop in trigger housing and put this in, to essentially make it a drop in trigger? So I can quick swap between my already upgraded trigger and this?

Very happy with this carbon fiber grey birch with vortex venom 5-25 ffp.
Shoots nice from bench and still light enough to handle with heavy scope.

I have a Magpul stock, tacsol barrel and tactical innovations receiver.

I cannot get anything bigger than a 10 rounder to cycle. The 10 rounder cycle suppressed unsuppressed and every type of ammo

I cannot get the 25 or 30 to cycle.

Love this gun! Started out with a Romeo5, but had these in the safe so wanted to give it a try. I'm liking the 510C - HM3X combo for plinking. Maybe a little heavy, but makes it more fun at the range. QD mount makes it easy to pop the magnifier on/off and the big window and multi reticle of the 510 is actually nice on this rifle.

Carved my own 10/22 stock

Carved this out of a piece of Sapele. Love the aesthetic of the mannlicher stock and ergonomics of a thumbhole, but couldn't find a pre-made with both. So I made my own.

I know I know, perfect reason to build another but I just dropped an embarrassing amount on this one so it will have to wait a bit. Till then, curious which configuration the collective favors.

New to the game. ISO a light scope

First 10/22 and first suppressor (Polite Society Temperance 22). Love the rifle, and the new suppressor is great and fits the lightweight bill well at 3oz.

But.. I can't find a decent quality scope under 10oz. Prisms are welcome but I've heard eye relief is not a good fit. Any recommendations? If I could find a matte leupold 4x28 that would be perfect, but it seems they're limited to very occasional eBay listings.

Not my first .22, but my first 10/22. Just waiting on the pic rail to mount the scope. Sig ffp 1-6 I had laying around, probably switch to a 3-9 later. Q El Camino suppressor.

Anyone know anything about this special edition stock?

Recently picked up this 10/22 used, it had never been fired and it's a special edition and a new 2026 model with the cleaning port, can't find any info on it though, just wanted to know if anyone knew anything before I swap it out. Numbered out of 500, guessing it was some sort of dealer exclusive

So, I’ve loved the BTM stock since I was a kid watching A-Team. Was originally gonna build a Mini 14, but decided I had multiple 5.56 rifles but no 10/22’s. Best “compromise” is my Angstadt Arms Integrally Suppressed Ruger 10/22 on BTM stock

Threaded Barrel Options

What are you guys doing for threaded barrels? I’ve seen the price of them and thought they were pretty high but not sure if the other benefits of an after market barrel. Or if it’s also feasible to thread the stock barrel.

Let me know your guys recommendations! Thanks

Picked up a 32024

I always pissed and moaned about there not being a bull barrel 10/22 with irons (at least that I could ever find on their website or at dealers, but I imagine there may have been exclusives) and then a few days ago I discovered this one. It seems to be a unicorn that nobody has in stock, but the owner of a pawn shop I go to checked a few of his distributors and one of them had two, so I told him I wanted one.

Anyway, not only does it have irons, but bonus for a ghost ring, and the picatinny rail if I decide to use a red dot or scope on it. I really like the feel of the rubberized hogue stock, I love the magpul + models on my ar rifles too, regardless of them being dirt and grime magnets. Two other bonuses, comes with the bx trigger and is threaded.

Unfortunately I didn't get home in time to shoot it and see how well sighted this one is today. Had to take a picture of it next to my 31143. I just wish this $429.99 rifle came with the hard case that my $269.99 31143 came with, but that's alright, I can steal that case for the nicer one, lol. Anyway, I don't see many people post about buying these, not surprisingly since they don't seem to have made many so far, so figured I would. Also, the pawn shop had a 32014 and wow it feels lighter than I expected. Being more rear weight biased made it feel like there was a lot more than about a pound difference between the two.

Yes, my pictures are very random looking.

LPVO On A SR-22 Rifle?

Good afternoon. I’ve read that you can from some sources and you can’t use an LPVO on a 22LR rifle. I have a Ruger SR-22 rifle and I was wondering if putting an LPVO on it would work as intended? Thanks for your help. Just so you know… the LPVO is a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24.

New 10/22 owner, first round keeps getting stuck

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey guys, this is my first gun so I don’t have much experience yet.

I recently got a new Ruger 10/22 model 32001 with the optic and upgraded trigger. I’m using the stock 10 round rotary magazine and cheap Winchester 36 grain bulk ammo.

I’ve put around 150 rounds through it so far and this has happened about 6 times.

-5 times it was the very first round that wouldn’t feed properly. I pull the bolt back and let it go but the round seems to catch on the top of the magazine and the bolt gets stuck halfway.

If I take that round out and replace it with a new one it usually works fine and I can shoot the other 9 rounds without any issues.

-One time it also got stuck halfway through the magazine and I removed and replaced round and eventually got it to fire the rest

I bought some CCI Mini Mag and Standard Velocity but haven’t tried them yet.

I didn’t clean or oil it after reading people say they shot 100,000 rounds through it without ever cleaning it, maybe I was a bit too excited to test it out haha.

Could this just be the cheap ammo or is it possibly something with the magazine? Since it’s brand new I’m not sure if this is normal or if I should be concerned.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
