Gear Which camera system to buy for birding? Esp birds in flight
I am an amateur birder and want to take photos. I shoot Fujifilm X-T30 with XF 70-300 mm right now and feel limited by the camera system to focus fast enough. There is no bird mode and it doesn't track and I can seldom get any photos of birds in flight.
What second system can I consider for just birding?
Canon R7 with some 200-400 mm lens?
Sony A??
Nikon Z?
I guess APS-C is better as I am not selling photos or printing so do I need full-frame? My top-end of budget in the US is $4000 for body and one lens. I might look for used gear to bring down the costs.
The following photos were taken with my X-T30 and a Sigma 150-600 EF lens with a Fringer adapter.

Camera + Lens question!
Hi there! I am a very amateur bird/wildlife photographer. I’ve been using my wife’s Canon R6 Mark ii while getting started and have really enjoyed getting into the hobby. She has a 200mm lens and I’ve found I need more zoom. I found a pretty great deal on a Tamron 150-600mm G2 near me for $650 obo. Seems like a good lens for the price, but will I have issues with this camera and lens pairing? I’ve seen mixed opinions for sure. I do already have an EF-EOS R adapter. Thanks! (Pics for attention)

PhonePic Great Blue Heron
Was extremely lucky to be able to be able to get close enough to take good phone photos of this birby friend.
My favorite is the photo of the head with fishing line tangled on the electric lines. Feels poignant since fishing line is a huge threat to most birds that live and feed in aquatic areas.

Photo Ruby-crowned kinglet
(My original photo)
Here's a ruby-crowned kinglet, a tiny bird capable of perching on the thinnest of twigs. It's taking a rare break here between pinging around the bushes like it just downed a six-pack of Monster energy drinks. Seen in Prospect Park, Brooklyn NY USA.
