Could I start charging for shoots?

Hey guys, I got really into photography a few years ago after buying my first camera. I started using it often and then went on a hiatus for a while after life sorta just… happened. Now I have a new camera and new love for photography again and was wondering what others thought about charging for my work? I was lucky to have a wonderful brother and soon-to-be sister in law who volunteered to be photographed to get me back into the scene. I’ve never been a pro or anything by any means, I’ve just always loved photographing every day life. Now I’m in nursing school and finding my bank account depleting at an exponential rate, and I thought about doing a photography gig on the side. I don’t want to charge astronomical prices or anything, just a little something for my time. Do you think I’m at that level even if it’s just $50? This is embarrassing to post, but I want an honest opinion since obvi my family just kinda tells me what they think I wanna hear 😅 I know I have a LOT of things to improve and work on, hence the small price point. Thank you for reading!

Nikon Z5ii and Nikkor 85mm F1.8s

Edit: I’ve had a few people comment about using blur in editing. I shot at the lowest F stop allowed on my camera/ lens, and didn’t have any need to use blur in post. Yes, it was dark and after sunset when I shot these photos, and my shutter speed wasn’t as fast as it could have been so there may be blur on areas where the people were moving. I DID use a radial gradient of “dehaze” which may cause a loss of detail maybe? but other than that, there is no blur edited in. Just wanted to clear that up, but it’s okay if people don’t like my work or agree! I just don’t have any reason to lie about using a blurring tool on Lightroom? I bought this lens for a reason haha. I appreciate all of the feedback! If I could include a screenshot of my Lightroom editing I totally would to prove my point, but it won’t allow me to add photos after posting. I used a removal tool in a few small spots so maybe there’s some little inconsistencies where I don’t realize. I guess I’m just trying to out myself for all the things I did use? Idk! Oh well! Thanks again guys! Like I said, it’s all new to me. Still working out kinks in my editing! Just wanted to know if people thought I could charge for them knowing they’re not the best out there, wasn’t really prepared to have arguments in the comments but that’s just the internet for ya!

Hey all, im new here, and I've been into photography for several years now. Given im AD military, I can't take pictures nearly as much as I would like, but I try to get practice in where I can. I don't do it for money and I don't necessarily have plans to make money off of it. I just like see what I can do, and so I want it to be as good as possible. I have no particular niche, ill take pictures of everything. Planes, landscapes, animals, the stars, I want to do it all. So here are some of what I would consider my best pictures. I of course edit them as well using Lightroom. All of them were taken with a Canon 6D Mkii if that matters. Any and all criticism is welcome. You can even tell me they suck, but please do tell me what you would do to make it better! Be brutal!

Hi everyone,

I recently bought my first camera (Fujifilm X100VI) and having fun with it. It’s only been 6 months. What are your thoughts? You see any potential? I would greatly appreciate your input. :)

I've been considering investing in a camera, do my shots have potential?

I'm open to criticism!
