Brought my RX100Vii with me. Running through its paces. Background information I work with drift masters and formula drift Japan so usually running with my A1. Got the Vii to compensate when I can’t get my gear into an event. This is my 2nd time running it pretty hard. Happy with the results. I’m a pixel peeper so it’s hard to edit around but I lean into a film like look when using this camera and some Lightroom magic. Everything was taken around 1/2000 for all the on the field stuff and the other is a blend of flash to create harsher shadows.

I’m new to the RX100 VII and have a trip upcoming where I’ll be visiting a lot of dimly lit cathedrals. What’s a good setup for the camera to get the best pictures?

I found a listing for a Sony RX100 VII listed at $900 (AUD). As a complete noob at buying cameras who was recommended the Sony RX100 series when buying a camera, I am wanting to know if $900 is a good price for a lightly used camera?

As well as, what should I look out for when checking out this camera in person to determine if what they’re claiming is genuine?

So long story short, I've never own a REAL Camera before,

I'm a pixel 10 photographer (sadly)

I travel alot mostly Japan

So my priority will be

1. Compact

2. Telescope (dunno what's it called)

3. Editing

But the VII is released in 2019, do i dunno if it's legit to spend 1200 on it....? Do you guys still recommend this to me at 2026....?

I bought a used RX100 VII in very good condition, and I’ve spent two weeks trying to master it. Here are some photos taken over the last two weeks.

I’m running into a few issues that are really bothering me : my photos are consistently overexposed, and I find it very difficult to get satisfactory images without having to rely on post-processing. I also feel that the image quality degrades quickly : there’s often a lot of noise, as the ISO levels climb very rapidly. I’d welcome any advice you can offer !

My wife and I were out in our local national forest today enjoying the fall colors along the Davidson River in western North Carolina. I left my a6700 kit home today and brought my M7. I used a polarizing filter on all of the shots and a mini tripod for the flowing water.

I love my RX100 but have been considering getting something with a bigger sensor for low light shoots or when I'm doing stuff that doesn't require the camera to be small and light.

Travel, sports, music. I'm no pro but I'm happy with these, please click so you can see the full shots, Reddit crops them unless you click. Any thoughts or criticism appreciated! I'm trying to learn.

I love the look of photos taken on Fujifilm cameras, so I tried recreating that look on my Sony RX100 V today. I think the photos turned out pretty nice, but I’m not sure how close they are to the actual Fujifilm look. Does anyone have recommendations for settings or adjustments I could try to get closer to that bright, colorful Fujifilm look?
