I’m thinking of adding frame-by-frame animated scenes to my VN—do you think it’s worth it?

Any criticism appreciated

Launched an indie pilot on Kickstarter about 3 weeks ago. After a strong start, we have struggled to keep a steady pace to meet our target. We've still got 9 days to go in the campaign and I've learned a lot that'll likely lead to a successful second campaign. I'm gonna keep pushing till the final day but for now I'm feeling a little discouraged. I make a living in freelance comics and animation, bringing other people's worlds to life. So it sucks that it's not time for mine to come to life yet.

Decided to make a short animation of bulbasaur playing with a pokeball. I focused hard on trying to make the blinking, face and feet turning look as smooth as possible. The bulb on the other hand is looking kinda crazy, lol. Drawn/colored/rendered/animated in Clip Studio Paint.

I’ve never done a real animation before other than some basic repeating gifs. Just wanted to share.

So i posted yesterday and I got really good feedback and tips so I did some more practice today (sorry for camera shake I will work on it )

And so pls help me in improving this too and I have a question if anyone can help with-how does camera move while animating on paper?

Like I know it's easier on digital with inbuilt camera and 3d ones but how do I do it on paper?

Edit: so my question is about the camera inside the animation like when a character is in perspective the camera zooms or chase the character or anything like that how does that work on paper

I animated and edited this video in Portuguese before the election results of this past Sunday, Oct 25th. This is the (ironically) English version as I find it may be a feeling shared by others affected by worldwide political crisis and/or the influence their identities may have gone through throughout their life.

I have celebrated the victory of Lula and democracy with my friends and family, and had the first good sleep I've had in a while. I made this to do my part as a Brazilian citizen (I'm a dual citizen of BR and CA) and hopefully inspire people to go out and vote. Family and friends felt inspired by it, and it led some of them who were quiet (out of fear) to voice their opinions and express themselves. I had very little time to do it - barely a week - but I think it got the idea (the feeling) across.

I think im gonna use the tail thing as my main way to show spinning

I'm asking so I can get an idea of the ideal price range for animations like these when someone commissions me in the future.

Thanks so much for all your nice comments last time I posted a thing. This time it's a lot shorter, only 4 frames, but it did take a really long time considering. I feel like I coukd add an inbetween or 2 in there to make it more smooth, but it took long enough as it is. I did record myself making it this time so that's something.

Im really enjoying traditional animation, even though everything's a lot slower and harder, it's still really fun doing it the old fashioned way.
