I created a satisfying stop-motion style 3D animation where a small ghost comes together bead by bead, inspired by perler bead / fuse bead crafts. Modeled, simulated, and rendered entirely in Blender.

Ugh, this is so much detail. I am treating this as one of my traditional drawings. But it is animation, so get ready for some bodily horror in November or even December. I KNOW! I deserve to be in prison because of this! But I started this at the worst time! Side by side of what my animation usually look like compared to by animation that leans more on my traditional side of things.

My goal is to make stop animation features, but I also want to understand animation basics. I have an iPad and can animate on there. Should I jump in with focusing on stop motion? Or learn animation techniques and get good at those first? I’m also not the best at drawing so I’ll be working on that regardless

I’m thinking of adding frame-by-frame animated scenes to my VN—do you think it’s worth it?

I animated and edited this video in Portuguese before the election results of this past Sunday, Oct 25th. This is the (ironically) English version as I find it may be a feeling shared by others affected by worldwide political crisis and/or the influence their identities may have gone through throughout their life.

I have celebrated the victory of Lula and democracy with my friends and family, and had the first good sleep I've had in a while. I made this to do my part as a Brazilian citizen (I'm a dual citizen of BR and CA) and hopefully inspire people to go out and vote. Family and friends felt inspired by it, and it led some of them who were quiet (out of fear) to voice their opinions and express themselves. I had very little time to do it - barely a week - but I think it got the idea (the feeling) across.

So i posted yesterday and I got really good feedback and tips so I did some more practice today (sorry for camera shake I will work on it )

And so pls help me in improving this too and I have a question if anyone can help with-how does camera move while animating on paper?

Like I know it's easier on digital with inbuilt camera and 3d ones but how do I do it on paper?

Edit: so my question is about the camera inside the animation like when a character is in perspective the camera zooms or chase the character or anything like that how does that work on paper

Our old animation felt a bit basic, so I gave our player character a little idle where he splashes around in the water :)
