I plan to make a Tyranid army coated in fur, and I think applying greenstuff to their chitin and molding it to mimic fur is the best method for what I'm aiming for. However that's applying a decent amount of greenstuff to hundreds of models, so I'll need a fair bit of the stuff, or at least something similar. Am I really going to have to shell out a couple hundred for a heap of the stuff?

Let's say GW decided you could pick one army you could add to the game. Full support: models, codex, the lot. It all gets added to the game and works like you want it to. What would it be, and why?

Sorry for the acerbic title.
I just gave up on Priest of Mars because of this issue. I was really excited for a story that focused on the Adeptus Mechanicus, because I love transhuman concepts. That, plus religious imagery? Even better.
I was incredibly disappointed to find that none of the main characters in this book are even AdMechs (wtf), and the AdMechs in the story are all fucking morons.
\---
Admech: "Ah, of course I forgot how useless you mortals, with your un-augmented brains, can be. I assure you Guardsman, I've run 500 trillion calculations, and they all insist this is perfectly safe."
Guard: "Oh yeah? Well, did you think about (incredibly obvious point)?"
Admech: "WHAT?! BUT MY CALCULATIONS!"
Guard: "Sorry, Voltron. But there's no way to calculate for the human spirit. That lives in here. In the heart."
Admech: "But, I, superior! The math! How?!"
\---
It's almost comical how much the book hates on the AdMechs. They are out-of-touch, aristocratic monsters. They should at least be borderline competent in exchange.

Hello, my kid just purchased a box of Kabalite Warriors. What would be a good box of infantry for me to buy that he will kill easily?
I want to challenge him to a battle and have him crush me!

Not saying it's bad or anything, and I get that it's a sign of high skill, but I much prefer the metallic sheen and was wondering if anyone else shared the sentiment

Despite having been in the hobby for over 30 years, I still have yet to play a game of 40K. I hope to remedy this in the next year! 🙏
I have always dug the Japanese mindset of giving gifts to people, and so I was wondering; if I were to create a Codex booklet of my own lore, artwork, and datasheets for each unit in my custom Space Marine army (both to inform people about my army history, but also as a way for them to reference all the unit loadouts, applicable rules, etc for them in-game), is this allowed? 🤔
I would recreate the datasheets using a spreadsheet, there would be no like-for-like reproduction from the actual Codex Space Marines, and everything else would be my own creation 👍
I guess I'm just curious to know if this is frowned upon as I would be giving any opponents a full overview of my army before we've rolled a single dice 🥺

DIY purity seals.
Resin 3D printed wax seals and teared cloth for the parchment. Attached by some cheap glued on pin back from the dollar store.
Need to add some scribbles.

I got a notification tonight that the 11th edition codex was unlocked on my account. I didn't do this, neither have I bought anything in over a year. Anyone else get this?

Hi everyone,
My brother paints warhammer figure and I want to get into the books. I find the lore very interesting. There seems to be so many books, is there a series or order anyone suggests for a first time rear?

I’m coming up on my one year anniversary in the hobby and this is what I have so far. I’ve been good about keeping my pile of shame to a minimum but of course there’s still a couple of boxes left. I’ve learned a lot from painting techniques to basing and I’ve come far from the flat monochrome to having depth and details. I look forward to continuing learning and emptying my bank account for little bits of plastic.
