Hi there, I (31, male) have just moved to Wellington from London. Wondering what the causal 5 a side or 7 a side (don't mind so much what size game) scene is like here. Keen to find a regular game and quite flexible on timings. Do people just play through groups of friends, is there an app, people use facebook?
Used to play a good amount of games through Footy Addicts back in London which was very convenient.

I was the person that slipped on the slick floor at the station this morning and dislocated my knee. You made sure I got the help I needed and kept my spirits up while I was in pain. Thank you so much and I hope I can properly thank you someday.
Also big shout out to the St John's and Emergency doctors, radiologists, and nurses at Wellington Hospital. You all showed me such tremendous care today. I am eternally grateful.
Stay safe out there everyone. (Is there any chance someone from Wellington Station reads this and does something about the hazardous floors?)

Where's the go to in Lower Hutt or Wellington to get me some nice tea?
I don't need the world finest but somewhere with something more than 'english breakfast' or 'strong'.
I tried a sample pack and it was great but want to see if I can get anything locally before looking online.
Edit thanks for the recommendations :) I'll give t leaf T a go and support local!

Hey hey im coming down to welly for the day!
Anyone know piercing or jewellery shops in wellington (city or surrounding places, as long as a train/bus goes there) that i can go to? Not Michael Hill or whatever type jewellery, but i also dont want Lovisa type stuff. Usually its the stuff sold at piercing shops (if its got a specific name i cant think of it).
Anything fun i should go or do or see or places I should eat while im there, as well? I wish I could bring my lil doggie with me to the city. She can go on buses in my city but she cant go on commuter buses or the train even if shes in her little bag. One day I will show her the coast line and watch her lose her shit.

Is there a shortage of 'I Voted' stickers, or is only a Brooklyn issue? Might seem a small thing, but I think it encourages others to vote.

How Ngati Toa are getting 16 town houses on this site is a mystery but what a view. And they rent them out @80% market rate.

*EDIT: Found a local groomer whiling to help retrain him with grooming, minus doggy drugs. Appreciate the quick response from people who knew what I was after :)
*EDIT: I missed details: vet/groomer combo. My vet has both and assumed all vets did.
Hey I have a Maltese x shitzu 5 year old with aggression with being touched. This had lead to a lot a behavioural training etc.
His fur gets matted and he gets more annoyed the longer it gets. I can’t brush him let alone try to trim him. Just wondering if anywhere locally does sedated grooms? I’ve been quoted $800+ from my vet however I have done this twice before and they don’t groom him, more trim around his paws and doesn’t resolve it. It’s just a lot of money and I’d rather spend that where he can get a full body trim.
Any recs? Cheers

Kia,ora.
I'm new to Wellington and had a look online where i could find a place where you can hang out with dogs sadly to no avail, but I'm wondering if there is any grassroots knowlage that anyone has about local areas that does have a place like that in a cafe setting, i know there a cat cafe but i love dogs so it would be nice to find a place to hang out with them for an afternoon.

I’m a guy working at a sushi shop, and I’ve got a crush on one of our regular customers. He’s really cute, but we barely talk, and I have no idea if he’s gay.
I’m leaving Wellington soon, so should I try to get his Instagram, or just let it go? 😂

3 seats F18, F19, F20
At Embassy Theatre, Wellington this Friday 7pm.
Paid $149.40, selling for $140.
Unfortunately we can't make it, so selling them, I'm not wanting to make a profit etc, just wanting to cover my costs. It is sold out
The seats from memory are on the aisle with lots of leg room
I live in Palmy, so I can't meet in person unless you're here.l, but I'm happy forward the email with the ticket QR code.

Has anyone seen that absolute unit of a moon tonight?
I wish I could take a photo of it but got stuck driving instead.
If you managed to take a photo (or some) of it, could you please share them here? Much loved.

Predator Free Wellington presents Birdfest – Wellington's newest music festival! It celebrates our iconic feathery performers and musical manu. We’re evicting the pests, backing the birds, and turning up the dawn chorus.
Is your favourite artist playing? Check the lineup. We got kererū bringing the heavy bass, kākāriki with the pop punk and ruru spinning ambient beats all night long. We've also got an option to 'remix the dawn chorus' – keen for more tūī and less kākā? We got you 🎵
Stages include Harbourside Market on Sunday 1 November, Ōtari-Wilton's Bush on 7 Nov, Waimapihi on 15 Nov and Matairangi Mt Victoria 21 Nov. You can also check out ‘Backyard Birdfest’ – enjoying the manu out your window.
Support the work of Predator Free Wellington and buy a ticket to a predator free Pōneke.
The festival runs to 26 November when it closes with a special Birdfest gig hosted by Radio Active and Predator Free Wellington at San Fran, featuring human musicians in honour of the birds!
Edit – added details about 'remix the dawn chorus'
