Years (and years) ago, there was an engineering company in Palmy that was building mid mounted tractor graders using old fergies and fords as the base machine. I'm sure they were someone on Keith Street but dunno why I think this. Does anyone know who it was?

I wonder what he meant by that. I had just posted a video calling a bunch of his colleagues a "piece of shit" for collectively endorsing the National candidate while all calling themselves independent.

I wonder if it's a threat. Personally I find it weird that an elected official would go and look up my registration and then just comment it without anything else.

You know i have pretty serious concerns about what's going on in this city under the surface veneer of respectability.

It seems to me like a few wealthy families like the Highins family and related business interests have an outsize influence on what happens.

That and a bunch of weird little factions seeming to engage in palace intrigue and compete for power and protecting their own position and status.

You add to that the way the National party and its local operation engage in influence peddling and unofficially push their favored candidates while refusing to publicly acknowledge it or officially endorse them.

Then there's the way social division and public resentment get enthusiastically exploited by these career politicians, and the way partisan think tanks like the Taxpayers Union and the free speech union push their astroturf campaigns.

It's all kind of gross and it plays on and reinforces the cracks in the community.

Looking forward to enjoying the outdoors during this summer, I was hoping to have a little dip after a long walk but is it safe to swim in the river, and if so, where?

Made in Blender. No AI. I've never animated or rendered before so I think this turned out pretty good.
