Mod post The /r/sex Rules and Guidelines - please read BEFORE you post! Updated 2023

The mods of /r/sex make it our policy to review the rules of the sub on an ongoing basis, tweaking items as necessary. In an effort to stay abreast with the growth of the sub and with the evolving moderation that requires, we have decided to re-sticky the updated rules to serve as a reminder for our membership.

r/sex is for civil discussions pertaining to education and advice regarding your sexuality and sexual relationships. It is a sex-positive community and a safe space for people of all genders and orientations which demands respectful conduct in all exchanges. There is ZERO TOLERANCE FOR CREEPY/HARASSING BEHAVIOR here — in posts, comments, messages, or any other contributions. No exceptions.

This is a large community dedicated to an extremely popular topic. If you wish to participate, it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with our rules of conduct BEFORE you participate here. Failure to do so will result in your removal from the community.

PLEASE READ the FAQ with the most asked and answered questions - BEFORE POSTING!! Posts that do not follow the posting guidelines in the FAQ will be automatically removed.

THE /R/SEX RULES

1) ENGAGE CONSTRUCTIVELY AT ALL TIMES.
This means ensuring that ALL of your contributions here are constructive, on-topic, mature, sex-positive, civil and respectful. Disrespectful conduct will see you banned from the community on the spot. Hitting on other people, asking for pictures (joking or not), making any sort of sexist comment or insult, body shaming, or trolling of any sort will result in your immediate ban.

2) DON’T SKIP THE FAQ OR THE FORUM RULES.
We’re serious about this. Dozens of posts get removed every day because they’re covered in the FAQ or violate the forum rules.

3) DON'T OVERLOOK PAST POSTS.
We’re serious about this, too. Many questions may be new to you, but are very common in our community. Before you submit a post on a common topic, search the forum.

4) ALL CONTRIBUTIONS MUST BE SEX POSITIVE.
We demand that consenting adults be free to express their sexuality as they see fit. Kink shaming, slut shaming, and similar conduct will not be tolerated. Links or references to sex negative communities or websites (No Fap, Porn Free, etc) will not be tolerated. Attacks on the lifestyle of other consenting adults will not be tolerated.

5) POSTS SEEK ADVICE, COMMENTS PROVIDE IT.
The main forum is focused primarily on posts seeking specific actionable advice for distinctive personal situations. Giving advice should primarily be done in the comments. General discussions are often allowed, so long as they adhere to the group rules and restricted content guidelines. If you want to make an exception, please request approval from moderators.

6) DO NOT TROLL OR ENGAGE WITH TROLLS HERE.
Don’t try to challenge, question, tease, fight, or outwit trolls here. Instead, use the Report button to alert moderators, who will review every single reported item. Trolling of any sort merits an immediate permaban.

7) ALL DISCUSSION MUST BE DIRECTED INTO THE PUBLIC FORUM. Do not seek private conversations here, via Private Message or any other method. And do not seek to draw attention or clicks to an outside site of any type (unless you have received prior moderator approval, such as for academic research projects). Every comment here must be a clear attempt to engage with an ongoing public discussion in the forum. Violations of this rule will result in permanent bans without notice.

8) RESTRICTED CONTENT This sub is generally only for seeking advice, education, or discussion about sex and sexuality. We restrict or forbid many types of content here.

9) NO USE OF AI FOR POSTING/COMMENTS, NO REPOSTS
Reddit uses AI detection software to spot potential bot-posts and spam but people are encouraged to report posts that look fake, AI-generated, or are reposts of content created by other users.

EXAMPLES OF CONTENT RESTRICTED IN /R/SEX:

1) PROMOTIONAL POSTS.
This means any post containing any kind of promotional element, especially one which seeks to lure traffic to another site or promote a product. Links to specific product descriptions are permitted if they’re PRECISELY on-topic in the context of the post, AND the post itself is clearly seeking advice in good faith. If you're trying to sell something, conduct market research, etc - these posts will get you banned. Linking to sex-positive blogs or podcasts is allowed, provided you make an effort to start a conversation here about the topic and use the link as supporting material.

2) LINK POSTS.
Linked material must be sex positive and precisely on-topic to stay up here, and needs to be introduced with a workable framework for discussion. Please see the posted Link Policy BEFORE you post links! Bare links to youtube, images, blogs, podcasts, etc are prohibited.

3) ACHIEVEMENT POSTS.
These include appreciation, humblebrags, “I just had to share,” “I just want to say,” etc. These belong in the Daily Sexual Achievement Thread, not in the main forum. Posts which are JUST sex stories belong somewhere else entirely — like r/sexstories or a similar forum.

4) LOW EFFORT MATERIAL.
“Does anyone else...?”, “Is [X] normal/weird?”, “Is [y] wrong/bad/okay?”, and so forth. Human sexuality is incredibly varied; yes, someone else likes what you like, and labels like "normal" or "weird" are meaningless - and in a sex positive community, we do not allow any moral judgments against sex acts or behaviors that are consensual. Title-only posts, posts with no effort at an actual conversation will be removed and may get you banned. Comments that consist of nothing but memes, "this", "lol" and such are highly disfavored. If comments do not further the discussion, they may be removed; a pattern of these may result in your ban.

5) SEEKING FAP MATERIAL.
Do not ask for sex stories, do not ask for the hottest/strangest/most unusual/etc encounter someone ever had. Do not ask for lists of other people's kinks.

6) PORNOGRAPHY, EROTICA, OR PERSONALS.
You may not post or link pornography or erotica here. You may not share pictures of your genitals here - even if you are seeking medical advice (if you need to post a picture, you need to be going to a doctor). You may not recruit sex partners here, look for dirty chat, ask for someone to private message you, etc.

7) DISRESPECTFUL CONTENT.
Personal attacks, insults, name calling, or disrespect of any sort are not allowed here. Sexism, racism, or any type of hate speech will result in your immediate ban. This is a community for ALL GENDERS - refusing to acknowledge a trans individual's gender flies in the face of this, and will result in your ban.

8) OPINION SEEKING, POLLS, VALUE JUDGEMENTS, OR VALIDATION POSTS.
This forum is not for simply collecting opinions - "do you think [X] is hot?", "Women, do you like [Y]?", "What is your favorite sex position?" and so forth. This is not a forum to discuss your penis size, breast size, labia size, ask about other body image issues, or ask for feedback on your photos. See the /r/sex FAQ for help regarding body image issues. Do not post your pictures and ask people to rate or critique you. Do not ask if given consensual sexual interests are good/bad/okay/wrong, etc.

9) ACADEMIC SURVEYS.
These require prior moderator approval. Moderators will review the question formats and will review the documentation of institutional ethical oversight (please provide). Non-academic surveys are seldom allowed. Please contact the moderators BEFORE you post a survey or study.

10) GENERAL RANTS, ESSAYS, EDITORIALS, VENTS, CONFESSIONS, PSAS, AND AMAS.
These don’t belong in the main forum unless you have obtained prior moderator approval. Save them for story-based forums. Or Tumblr.

11) FREQUENT/FAMILIAR TOPICS.
These are addressed in either the FAQ, past posts, or both. In case you are confused, this means that we do not do penis size posts here.

12) VAGUE TITLE/TOPIC.
If a moderator can’t identify your issue or the type of advice you’re seeking, your post will be subject to removal. Titles should be at least several words long and adequately express what your post is about.

13) NONCONSENSUAL OR ILLEGAL CONTENT.
/r/sex is for the discussion of consensual sex among adults. We do not permit posts that advocate pedophilia, bestiality, rape, or incest here under any circumstances, nor do we allow these topics at all in most instances. Note that BDSM and CNC (consensual nonconsent) are perfectly valid topics in /r/sex.

14) OTHER OFF TOPIC ISSUES.
This is not the place to discuss politics or religion, to seek dating advice, to ask for how to pick up women, to rant about how you have never had sex. Posts that appear to be dedicated to stirring up arguments - particularly about hot button topics like circumcision, the evils of pornography and/or masturbation, and other toxic subjects - will be removed and will result in swift bans.

15) IMPORTANT NOTE ON DISCUSSIONS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT.
Sexual assault is an important and emotional topic which can be discussed (constructively) in r/sex. But posts which simply seek opinions about whether a given scenario counts as sexual assault do not do well here. This is true for several reasons, including the fact that assault laws vary by jurisdiction, and we don't encourage debates about jurisdiction issues here. Therefore, we ask that you refrain from describing a scenario and then simply asking “Is this rape/assault?” Instead, ask for specific advice: About how to respond to the scenario, how to avoid it, or how to proceed with next steps. Posts which simply ask “Is this rape/assault?” are subject to removal without notice.

16) POST LENGTH.
For ease of reading and reviewing, please get to the point of your post quickly — in the post title, first paragraph, etc. Consider adding a tl;dr to long posts. Posts which are inconveniently long — over 600 words, approximately — are subject to automatic removal. Also, line and paragraph breaks are VERY HELPFUL for readers and reviewers — walls of text that lack these are subject to removal for readability.

Further information about the /r/sex rules and policies can be reviewed on the rules page.

Orgasm Issues Hands free orgasm while going down on my wife but without ejaculation

I love going down on my wife and no matter what we do when we have sex cunnilingus is always part of it. Sometimes it's all we do. It's the only way I can make her cum and I love making her and her orgasm the focus when we have sex. I get so into going down on her that sometimes I feel like I'm going to cum just from eating her pussy without any stimulation on my dick. I've come really close but never been able to get all the way there.

But a few days ago it finally happened... Sort of. I felt kind of overwhelmed and this really intense feeling build as I was going down on her and eventually my body started trembling and I was moaning... While still licking... Like I was having the best orgasm ever. I like felt it in my entire body more than in my dick. It definitely felt like an orgasm but not like any orgasm I was used to... If that makes sense. But the weird thing is I didn't actually cum. There was no ejaculation. So it felt like an orgasm, but the feeling wasn't in my dick, and there was no actual cum, so did I actually have an orgasm?

Beginner Is it normal to feel overwhelmed by your partner sex drive?

So me M(20) and my partner F(26) have been dating for a while, around 3 months. I've only had a previous relationship and we were both virgins (it was a messy first time)+it wasnt a very deep connection.

The issue that im having is that she is way to "active", at first it wasn't a big issue, since i really enjoyed but I could tell she wasn't really satisfied. So the next time I wanked it before and I broke the 20 mins barrier with her.

Im having issues writing this since english isn't my first language and its a weird topic to talk about at least for me.

The issue is that im not really enjoying our encounters. I wouldn't have a problem if it weren't a recurrent issue, but wenever we do it I have to do my best to satisfy her. I dont know anything about girls sex drive, but I think her cuming 6 times in a row is a lot? Idk.

Every single day we end up doing it, if not physically, then we do it via call. It honestly feels like a job rn, i never thought I would be in this situation. She is really hot and turns me on, but I just cannot keep up with her.

I just want to know if this is normal girl behavior or she just has a really big libido. I feel drained and exhausted but I really love her. Should I tell her or maybe its just bc we are on a 'honeymoon' phase.

Skill improvement Can bad sex turn into good?

I‘ve (29,F) been with my bf (27, M) for three months now and the sex is just … disappointing for most of the time.

Sex is very important for me and I have a very high libido but after a toxic long-term relationship based on amazing sex, I‘ve realized that there are far more important things to look for in a guy.

Anyway, everything with this guy is great except the sex. He knows that he‘s not the best, he wants to communicate and asks me all the time what l like. The problem is that I feel like he just can‘t feel my body and can‘t figure out what I like except if I don‘t specifically tell him. I‘ve never been in such a situation and I‘m getting tired of being asked “what do you wanna do now“ while having sex. We’re at the point where I keep explaining how I want to be fingered and try to put a normal rhythm to thrusts. I want to just be finally fucked properly without having to orchestrate the whole thing. A couple of times we have had great sex that I‘d be okay to live with but he can‘t seem to do this every time.

He‘d been in two long term relationships before me and has slept around while being single (he‘s pretty handsome) and I‘m thinking that someone before me must have also tried to teach him some things but failed.

So my question for y‘all - have any of you managed to teach a partner how to be good in bed through communication?

Beginner Can only insert dildo in one position help??

Basically I bought a dildo cause I wanted to go a step further from fingering but the issue is that I can only get it in when sitting and with my knees bent. And that’s literally the only way, I’ve tried trying to sit on it I can’t, lying on my back knees bent I can’t, sideways can’t, like literally nothing but sitting down on my butt with my knees bent.

And what I don’t understand is that it doesn’t hurt at all, it doesn’t feel tense or nothinggg when I’m sitting, like it literally slides in and out easily. Zero issue since the first time I tried it.

HOWEVER, as soon as I try to do anything else like laying down it’s impossible, like there’s a wall blocking and the pain is SHARP and horrible.

If anyone has any help I would be so thankful lol

Beginner Girlfriend makes me very messy/wet

So I've recently become sexually active with my girlfriend, and after we do it every time it gets super messy, especially down there. First off it makes me like literally soaked down there, as well as on other parts since she squirts a lot, and she also is on bc and doesn't want me pulling out and so it gets us both messy in that regard too.

How do I clean up without having a shower like ready on standby? Because sometimes I have to just like put clothes back on even when I'm super messy

Intimacy and Connection Partner and I are both high-libido but our preferred styles of initiation keep missing each other — how have you navigated that?

My partner (we’re both in our late 20s, together 3 years, monogamous) and I have very compatible sex drives — we both want it frequently and enthusiastically. The issue is the how of starting things.
I tend to be more direct and verbal (“I want you right now”), while they prefer a longer, more gradual buildup with non-sexual touch that slowly turns sexual. When I go straight for it, they sometimes feel rushed or like the emotional connection wasn’t fully there. When they take the slow route, I sometimes interpret the delay as disinterest and pull back, which then makes them feel rejected.
We’ve talked about it calmly a few times and both understand the other’s preference intellectually, but in the moment it still creates this awkward little dance where one of us ends up feeling a bit disappointed.
Has anyone else dealt with mismatched initiation styles even when desire levels match? What concrete things have actually worked for you — specific signals, rituals, check-ins, or ways of blending the two approaches? Looking for practical ideas rather than just “communicate more” (we already do that).
Thanks in advance.

Intimacy and Connection Help with Sexual Desire (or lack thereof)

I'm a male in my 30's. My lady is in her late 20's. We've been together for a few years now. The first two years I felt like she desired me more, she would initiate things more, was more receptive to me initiating, etc. It slowed down as relationships do, but it also slowed down to a point in some areas where I started questioning if she still found me attractive. I realize this is most likely due to birth control as well, but there were some aspects before she started her new pill where she just stopped being sexual with me like she used to be.

To preface this, I love everything about her. She is the love of my life. I really don't see myself sacrificing this relationship over sex; however, it can sometimes be hard for me to understand from her perspective. I do my best to try.

We are strong in our communication and have talked in depth multiple times. She noticed her libido tanked as well. I generally have a high libido. I could go just about every other day. We did go every other day for basically two years. She said she could now go weeks without it. We learned she has developed responsive desire and have tried to adapt. We also settled on scheduling sex at least two times a week. This allows her to think about it throughout the week and she can get herself mentally ready for it. It's not a set schedule. Sometimes we will skip the week and that is okay.

I guess my issue is that before her BC, which she does not want to change and I don't want her to either, we used to be more spontaneous and she used to desire me more. I went from getting a surprise blowjob every few months to having to ask for one if I want one (which I hate doing). I ask her quite often (maybe 3 times a week) if I can go down on her because I absolutely love it. She only asks to go down on me if she rejects me when I try to initiate sex. Most of the time she doesn't want me to, but sometimes she will let me go down on her and it will lead to sex. We had a long talk one time because we went on a trip and stayed in a hotel for 4 days. I tried to initiated and she didn't want to. I tried again a couple days later and it was a no. I don't know about you, but I get horny when I'm in a hotel for some reason. It felt bad, but I sucked it up. She asked if I would rather have a blowjob one night. I just wanted to be intimate with her, not get off, so I said no. She pressed it again and I said yes. She wanted me to get some stuff from the car and then after I came back she basically forgot about it. That felt bad too. It can be difficult because I would do anything in a heartbeat to please her if she wanted me to. I always put her pleasure above mine.

Its not like she isn't a sexual person. Or at least she used to be. She has had more sexual partners than me by a lot and has talked about stuff she has done. I have only ever had 6 versus her 20. I'm pretty kinky and she is vanilla. I don't mind that because she doesn't mind some of my kinks but some are off limits for her (anal). Not a huge deal to me.

I also ensure that I am doing my fair share around the house and make sure I am available to her. I go out of my way to do the small things in life for her because I love her. So there isn't anything for her to be stressed about or worry about at home or even in general. I'll make sure I go out and get groceries and shit like that so she can do her thing, which I don't mind doing. Just wanted to clear that up because I know most people say the man isn't doing his part around the house. I also love cuddling her. We cuddle every day and are intimate/close without sex. Her presence is enough for me. Although, we could probably makeout more often. That is something that has dwindled over time.

I don't know if I am overthinking this or being selfish because at times it feels like it even though it probably isn't. It makes me feel like a sex addict sometimes. I have testosterone coursing through my blood and I love my woman dearly and am hopelessly attracted to her. Any good book recommendations for this stuff? Should I look into counseling? Any supplements to help her with her libido since her discontinuing her BC is off the table? Sorry for the long rant. Feels good to get off my chest though.

Anal sex Deep ass eating tips?

I've been hooking up with a women for a few months and having the best time in bed with her. There is nothing off limits, which is really fucking cool.

I've never eaten a woman's ass like I have with her. I hold nothing back, getting my tongue absolutely as deep as possible. She's great - she knows what I like and does a spectacular job making sure she's super clean, so I always want in deeper.

Problem is, it's really quite difficult to get in there very deep. I'm wondering if anybody has any tips on what I can do to get really deep inside.

Easily my favorite position is with her on her back, pillow under her ass, and legs up in the air. I can use both hands to open her ass up wide and lick around inside it. It's so fucking hot seeing her ass stretched open. The thing is, as hot as it is, I'm not sure stretching it wide open let's me get much further inside. Sometimes I kind of pinch my fingers together on each cheek and pull it open for my tongue, it's pretty effective but doesn't open her up as much. I love going at it from behind when she's bent over, but I feel like I get deeper with her on her back.

For those more experienced with deep anal tongue fucking, were there ever any "aha" moments that led you to get really deep? I know it probably seems like a dumb question but I want more.

Beginner Why can’t I have sex?

So me and my ex tried to have sex a couple of months ago.

We tried twice.

The first time was him he couldn’t get it up and I was completely understanding because it was both our first time. So I wasn’t angry or anything i just told him it’s okay we can do it another time and he was so embarrassed.

I completely reassured him that it’s completely normal for that to happen.

The second time was my fault as we just couldn’t get it in.

And he tried fingering me and it hurt so much.
I wasn’t embarrassed I was just more confused on why it hurt so much compared to when I do it myself.

We got into a little argument because he wasn’t understanding about why it wasn’t working and I just felt so down because he was sexually frustrated and I couldn’t do anything about it.

Can someone tell me what it might have been and why it hurt so much compared to when I do sexual stuff by myself?
And has anyone ever had this happen before?

I can't find a flair that fits How do I manage my PCD?

My partner (22M) and I (23F) have been together for over a year and were both each other’s firsts. We have a pretty good sex life, with us being intimate at least once or twice a week. Almost always after we finish, I have horrible postcoital dysphoria. I always end up feeling like I’m doing something wrong, I’m not doing enough, or that I’m disgusting for even having or wanting sex in the first place. (I know that is not true, it’s the religious guilt)

I want to make it clear that I love my partner and the reason as to why I get in my head afterwards does not have anything to do with him. I struggle a lot with mental health issues and so I’m constantly overthinking every little thing that happens in my life (but am finding ways to manage). I don’t want my boyfriend to feel guilty or feel bad whenever I get into these moods because he’s also prone to having those strong feelings afterwards.

How can I manage these feelings in a healthy and productive way?

Confidence How to initiate sex?

so im shy when it comes to initiate sex with my bf, i dont really start by kissing or touching him because im too embarrassed to do this even tho in the act itself we are kinky and not shy. the way i start it or more like signaling it is by zoomies, i get all hyperactive and start to bite him, tickle and etc, at this point he knows what i want and he mentioned ways to start it without the zoomies and im still shy. so im not sure how to do it without feeling goofy by trying to look sexy..

I can't find a flair that fits I have a weird and shameful relationship with my sexuality and I don't know what do to about it

I (22M) don't even know where to begin, when I was a teen, I used to masturbate quite frequently without an issue, thinking that the urge to do it was normal at my age and that it would eventually fade away with age or that I would reach sexual satisfaction through actual sex with another person, but that didn't happen.

I'm currently 22 and I still have a very high libido. I was in a relationship when I was 19, but my ex used to shame me a lot for my body and my sexual desire, which ended up making me lock it up and bury it not only with them but with anyone else, turning over to masturbation to relief myself, only now, I feel deeply ashamed of my masturbation habits and my desires.

I've been trying to stop myself and resist the "urge" to masturbate, but it only makes my libido worse and I end up going back to it and entering a spiral of shame and guilt. I'm afraid that if I get into a relationship with someone else, the anxiety that surrounds my sexuality will cause issues between me and my future partner. I get anxious when I get sexually aroused because it is a reminder of my issues.

Has anyone else been through this? How did you get over it? Is this something that I can only get over if I work it over with a partner like some kind of exposure therapy?

Masturbation I've accidentally worn holes in ALL my underwear by masturbating through them

So I wouldn't consider myself an obsessive masturbator or anything, I do it almost every day, not including some that it just doesn't work out on. I have my trusty wand vibrator and I go to town through my underwear. I've been doing it this way for about as long as I've been masturbating really, but only recently I've been encountering this issue.

I was doing the laundry the other day, and all of my underwear shared an embarrassing similarity, they all had a hole almost directly where my clit is in my underwear. I was sweating a bit, but most of my underwear is old! I've had them since highschool, so I figured it was fine, but then I noticed even the newer ones had developed these holes. When I put the pieces together I swear my face lit up like a Christmas light. I feel lucky that nobody was there to see!

This all being said, I can't continue on like this, it's way too bad for the health of my panties. So I raise the question, what do I do? How does someone who's only ever masturbated by grinding in her clothes learn how to masturbate in a different way? Or if anybody has any strange/specific ideas on how to reduce this problem, I'm all ears!

TL;DR: I jerk off by grinding in my underwear and using a vibrator, and now all my panties have holes in the front, and I'm seeking advice on how to reduce this problem as someone who can't masturbate any other way.

Communication I (32 M) have a new kink and can’t think of a way to explain it to my wife (31 F)

Recently I’ve developed a bit of a cheating/homewrecker kink. Now to be very clear I do not want to cheat on my wife. However the thought of it is suddenly pretty attractive to me, especially if someone that knew her would seduce me and tempt me to cheat (in fantasy only).

Now if I could bring it up to my wife so that maybe we could role play and explore it that would be great (if she’s comfortable with that). However I do not want to come across like “I’d like to cheat on you but the next best thing is to pretend you are someone else”.

I think I’m just resigned to keeping this one to myself but I don’t like keeping secrets.

Any advice for a safe way to bring this one up?

Orgasm Issues I (m21) can’t cum with my gf (f23) due to porn addiction

I’ve been addicted to porn, hentai and masturbation for pretty long time, started since I was about 13 years old and do it basically every day, and it completely ruined my sexual life, I can’t cum when im having penetrative or oral sex with my gf, I told her about my problem. But still I feel really guilty about it, because im afraid she thinks she is not attractive to me. The biggest issue is that our relationship is mostly distant (she lives in a different city) and we see each other pretty rarely. She says she is completely satisfied with me and our sexual life and that i bring her pleasure. But i really want to show her that sex with her brings me pleasure too. Also due to my porn and hentai addiction, i have some really bad fantasies (kinks) in sex which turn me on when im masturbating, but trying something like that or even speaking about that in real life for me is taboo. And i want to get rid of them. Any advice on how to fix this? I understand that i have to quit porn and masturbate less. But maybe there is something more i can do to help fix this problem?

Rough as a preference My wife wants me to be more dominant in bed

Looking for a little advice I guess. My wife of 10 years wants me to be more rough and dominant in the bedroom, but I'm just really the gentlest guy you've ever met and always so hyper aware of how my size can be intimidating or threatening to women that half of my brain cells are inextricably dedicated to presenting myself as non-threatening at all times. She says she loves this about me in every other area of our lives but that she wants to be dominated more in bed. Rougher sex, dirty talk, domination, etc.

The dirty talk is kind of the hardest part for me. The closest I usually get is making dirty jokes during foreplay, but I know she's not looking for a laugh when we're intimate.

How can I get over this mental block and be a better husband?

Boundaries and Standards My girlfriend is only willing to have oral or butt sex with me. Is that normal?

I am not sure if it’s a cultural thing or not, my guess is that it is, but I’m not like 100% sure. For context, I’m a 19 year old American, and my girlfriend is an 20 year old international student from Uttar Pradesh in India. We’ve been dating for like half a year, and I tried to have an open conversation with her about sex maybe a month ago, but she didn’t seem all that comfortable with it. I just wanted to see what her views were on it and everything, but she didn’t want to get into that very much. When we finally had sex, she only let me have butt or oral sex with her. When I asked her why, she said that way it “didn’t really count as sex.” I found it very bizarre, but I didn’t disagree out loud since it seemed like kind of a sensitive topic, and I didn’t push the topic further. Is this normal? Should I talk to her more about this? To me these are definitely sexual acts, but to her, they’re not? I don’t know, it just feels off to me. I feel uncomfortable having sex with her if she has sex negative attitudes, which is what this feels like to me. I don’t know how to help or if I can even…

Kinks My husband is vanilla, and I'm starting to miss kink - how do I satisfy the itch solo?

While my husband and I have similar amounts of experience with partners, I did a lot more kinky experimentation. BDSM, group stuff, voyeurism. My husband dipped his toes with previous partners, but decided it wasn't for him

While I don't miss the latter two, I do miss some elements of bdsm. I was always a switch.

Our sex life is great, but vanilla.

Given my husband isn't interested in kinks, and I've no interest in an open relationship, how can I satisfy that particular urge by myself? Other than porn and masturbating, obviously.b

Compatibility My girlfriend doesn't put effort into sex.

I have been with my girlfriend for about 3 1/2 years. We are in our late 20s and have a pretty stress free life. I work full time and cover all rent, I do most of the house work and chores. She works part time and has gone back to school, I do my best to make her life as stress free as possible so she can focus on studying.

For the first few months we would have fairly enthusiastic consistent sex about 2 times a week. I'm happy to have sex about 3 times a week but I understand that's not always realistic.

I initiate sex about 90% of the time. I will always put her first in the bedroom as I'm a giver and love focusing on her needs. I love eating her out and doing what she wants me to do almost more than my own pleasure. I really try my best to put in loads of work for non sexual intimacy as well.

She does have issues with orgasms and has never had one on her own. I think I have made her orgasm but it's hard to tell. We have tried a few different things and she doesn't really care to work on it.

The majority of the time she just lays there and doesn't do much. She will give me a quick handjob or blow job for about 30 seconds and that's about it. She implied the other day that she prefers to jump straight to piv so we can be done quick.

She will put effort into sex maybe once every two months. When she does it's extremely good and kinky, probably the best sex I've ever had, but this is extremely rare though. It almost feels like she is just doing maintenance sex once a week until she actually wants me and feels really horny.

I have talked to her about this many times but she doesn't really seem to care. When I try to communicate it's feel like talking to a blank wall. It feel like we are on completely different wavelengths or something. The worst part is that in university she mentioned she was very wild and hooking up all the time will lots of kinky casual sex. I don't like to judge people for their past but in this circumstance it absolutely kills me.

She is begging to get married but this is the main reason I'm putting it off. I feel like I'm slowly losing passion.

Anatomy She hates how sweaty she gets

Been seeing each other (m29/f40) about a month, basically anytime she gets midly aroused she gets red in the face/chest area and sweats excessively.

She hates it, doesnt bother me, anything I can to help or is this a medical thing she should see a doctor about?
