After Brazilian President Lula defeated right-wing extremist Flávio Bolsonaro, who has openly expressed homophobic and transphobic views, he celebrated alongside several of his allies, including trans congresswoman Erika Hilton. Brazil also has a few other trans folks in congress. Thought it would be nice to share :)

Tonight I wanted to have someone over to have a good time. I found this guy close to my age, decent looking and quite friendly, so I invited him over. Everything was fine, we chatted and had a good time together. But right after we finished having sex I asked him to leave and he refused. He suddenly got angry about guys always kicking him out after sex and only getting used for sex. I immediately felt a very bad vibe from this, so somehow I came up with the excuse that I was meeting a friend for some drinks and I had to go. He calmed down then but asked to stay until I left, so I had to get ready to go to this pretend friend’s place. After I got ready, we left my house and stood in front of the main door. He offered to give me a lift but I told him that my friend’s place was close, so he offered to walk with me. This situation was overwhelming me at this point. I told him that I just wanted to walk by myself with my music on, so I said goodbye and started walking away while he stood in front of my door. I turned the corner but I kept thinking that he was probably following me instead of getting in his car and going home, so I went in a corner shop close by and told the staff that a weird guy was following me and if I could hide in there (the guy from the shop knows me, I normally shop there). He told me to ring the police but I said no, I just wanted to wait a bit to see if the guy was gone. I rang my housemate to ask him if the guy’s car was still there and it was. After a bit, the guy walked in the shop asking for me. Thankfully the cashier acted oblivious and he left and then drove off.
I’m so scared right now, I don’t even want to go outside tomorrow for work just in case he is around. I’m definitely not meeting anyone from Grindr in a good while…

Guys i need help, i am 18 and my bf is 19 and none of us has a drivers licence. We both live in our parents house, and they're both homophobic, and my parents and siblings are always home and so do their parents, we cannot hang out at night or sleeping in each others house, we both want to have sex but we dont know where or when. HELP

It was loud. He wasn’t talking to me, but I was obviously close enough to hear - I’d made a couple of comments into their conversation already. They were talking about something he’d just purchased and he said he didn’t have enough money to get both, but he wished he’d gotten the one that had the bi flag colors. “Why?” says his friend. “Well, because I am” he says. “Oh, I didn’t know that.” And then they continue their conversation about shopping.
I sat there in shock trying SO hard not to react. I know my son. It doesn’t matter if it’s a stubbed toe, an A on a test or a declaration of his sexuality - “it’s not a big deal” is his motto in life. Plus, he didn’t say it to me. I wasn’t invited to comment.
But wow I wanted to. When I was his age even the most supportive of friends or family didn’t just move on with the conversation. Support always seemed to mean hugs and “I still love you” announcements. To hear this so casually accepted and set aside as less important to the conversation than what else they had purchased was just…. Wow.
Besides, he’s heard my rant about feeling the need to say I still love you despite your sexuality - as if unconditional love suddenly could have had conditions. Now, I want to acknowledge that I heard him - but he hasn’t brought it up again and I’m not sure he wants me to. I don’t want to stay quiet if he’s waiting for me to say something…. I don’t want to say something if he’s hoping I’ll stay quiet. So, I bought the item he didn’t have enough money for… in the colors of the bi flag. I figure I will just let him know that I heard him say he wanted it… because he is… and let it go at that. He’ll know we can talk, but we don’t have to if he doesn’t want to…. He’ll know I heard him. I saw him. I accept him.
I’m so damned in awe of him and his generation. Thanks for listening folks. I could talk to the people I normally would without sharing what he said. It’s his to tell, if he wants to tell it. But it was so big that I had to share with someone!
