Hey, I'm here quite a bit, off and on... Ive been trying to keep busy with my personal responsibilities, but I find myself very lonely at times. I wake up and take my medicine and get on with my day doing my grad school assignments and going to work, I try to sneak in some time to paint or draw or do something creative to keep my sanity. Another way that I like to keep myself sane with this neverending cycle is by playing a video game. I usually play a little game on Roblox or a little bit of Minecraft. I only really play a little bit, and it's just minecraft-survival-type games.

I find that I am by myself a lot, and I feel like I take care of myself quite well, but because of my focus on myself and my mental health, I fear I am lacking in the friends department. I fear this is another cycle that tends to want to keep going and going. Idk what it is, but I'm trying to occupy my time with some conversations with cool people, average people, any people really.

I do really have a liking for connections that are easy and feel natural. I'm sure everyone can agree that genuine connection feels great. I know it isn't going to happen with everyone, and that's okay.

I am not on reddit a whole lot, but I will be sure to check in and look at these messages from time to time. If we click and we eventually want to move forward, I'm okay with that too haha.

Hello there! As mentioned in my title (You did read the title, I hope? I put a lot of effort into it.), I'm a 29-year-old guy living in the mystical, magical land of *checks notes* England. Okay, maybe not so magical. All the dragons are in Wales, Excalibur has been melted down for scrap, and Hogwarts is in Scotland.

I currently work in a law firm. Sadly I'm not a lawyer, as that would mean I'd be earning shedloads, but actually I do admin work for them, earning considerably less than shedloads. But it's a fine job, I get on well with my coworkers, and I'm not down a coal mine, so I consider that a win.

As for me myself? Well, I actually speak multiple languages. I'm a fluent German speaker, and I also have a decently high level of Italian. I could also struggle through French if I had to, and I have basic Spanish and Japanese. I do like languages, although it's hard to find the time to do any study of them, what with the problems of having an adult life with adult responsibilities!

Another interesting [citation needed] thing about me is that I'm currently attempting to plan out a series of fantasy novels I want to write. It's going...decently. We'll see how it ends up, but I've wanted to write a book since I was 13 or so, and now as an adult I'm finally doing something about it!

In terms of pop culture, I'm a huge Doctor Who fan. Like, I'm the sort of Doctor Who fan who knows what a telerecording is and can tell you about the Australian censor clips. That kind of fan. I also finally got into Harry Potter this year after putting it off for my whole life, meaning I now finally know the context for Dumbledore asking calmly.

I'm also getting back into Pokémon somewhat after avoiding it for most of the Switch era. Other things I enjoy are The Elder Scrolls, Red Dead, GTA. I'm big Assassin's Creed fan too. In general I like single player, open world games. I'm not a huge multiplayer guy, I don't like having other people ruining my fun!

I'm trying to read more too lately. That's a thing I've always enjoyed that I'm now trying to find the time for again.

And I suppose I should say, I'm a fat guy. Trying to do something about it though!

I’m looking to meet some new people to chat with from time to time. My weekdays are usually pretty slow at work, so if nothing decides to break, I have a ton of downtime. I just built some new garden beds and put up a bigger greenhouse this year. I’m always down to trade plants, and I’ve gotten pretty deep into growing things.

I have around 10 fish tanks/outdoor tubs/ponds, with plans for more. I keep freshwater fish and plants and can probably talk about them for way longer than most people would want. I have 6 tortoises. They spend the summer outside and come inside during the winter.

I’ve really gotten into making different kinds of bread lately and want to start experimenting with sourdough soon. I’ve been trying to eat healthier and work out more lately.

Weekends are usually a mix of house projects, gardening, or whatever random project I’ve decided to start that week.

I’m an engineering grad who loves the gym, running, and fun bike rides or hiking trips with friends. (even tho I never thought I’d see the day where I actually enjoyed running, somehow we got here)

I’ve definitely been feeling a bit isolated recently. I work for a relatively small manufacturing company as a design engineer for water well accessories (seals, adapters, check valves, etc.. that you would use if your house ran on a well water system) I enjoy the ownership and design work a lot, the only issue is that it can be a bit isolating.
