Khush amdeed to this week's Matrimonial Monday.

It's the place where you can talk all things related to rishta, shaadi, susraal stories, relationship advice, and even aashiq e namuraadi! Share stories and memes, seek advice, heck, even rip the rishta culture to pieces, given the absolute state of it!

Now, you might be wondering, "Can I post my marriage profile on here? Maybe slip into someone's DMs with my biodata? Shoot my shot, perhaps?"

Well, boy oh boy, have I got a word for you...

NO! GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT PROFILE!

LAY OFF THE POOR FOLKS, WILL YA?! SHEESH! YOU'RE A CREEP! GO AWAY! WE WERE HAVING A GOOD TIME UNTIL YOU SHOWED UP, MATE! UGHH! GO HAVE SOME CHAI WITH ELAICHI OR SOMETHING...

BECAUSE I'LL TELL YOU SOMETHING: THIS IS A HAPPY PLACE!

Social Soulfeel Pakistan (@soulfeelpk) Paid Order Cancelled, No Product or Refund

I want to share my experience with Soulfeel Pakistan (@soulfeelpk) and warn others before they place an order.
I placed Order #926310 and paid Rs. 5,047 in full on 15 October 2026 through NayaPay. I have the payment receipt and transaction proof.
Despite this, the following happened:
15 October: Payment of Rs. 5,047 was made in full.
24 October: The courier rider arrived and asked me to pay again, even though I had already paid. I had to send the rider back.
26 October: The courier tracking showed that my parcel had been intercepted/cancelled.
Since then, I have repeatedly contacted Soulfeel through WhatsApp and Instagram. Their only response has been that they will check with the courier team. No proper update, delivery confirmation, or refund has been provided.
The brand was informed about the payment issue and I shared proof of payment. They acknowledged the issue and said they would ask the courier team to update the payment and reattempt delivery. However, the order was still cancelled, and I have been left chasing them for a resolution.
It has now been over 10 days since I paid for this order. I have received neither my products nor my money back.
This is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I should not have to repeatedly contact a brand across multiple platforms to get an order I have already paid for.
I am attaching screenshots of the payment receipt, WhatsApp conversations, Instagram messages, and courier tracking for evidence.
genuinely appreciate advice on how to proceed.

Discussion Is tipping culture getting out of hands in Pakistan?

We visited Pakistan few months ago and we took our families out for dinner. We reserved the place in advance and all was good. Bill was around 40K PKR and additionally, I think 8-10% services charges. Where we live everything is included in the cost and no tipping/service charges culture here.

We settled the bill and as we were about to leave, staff started asking for tip, my husband said we already paid and they said we didn't pay, my husband said we paid the service charges, they said that's not tip, that's service charges. My husband said, please explain the tipping then, isn't tip means appreciating the services, so what's the difference between tipping and service charges, then they said, Sir, wo tu management k liye hai, hamara tu alag hisab kitab hota hai. My husband said, go and fight with management. We already paid 4000 extra, what else are you expecting from us.

We had a good time in the restaurant but the ending left a bitter taste. What would you guys had done? It's not about being cheap, it's about there should be a limit? There was one person standing at the door, for opening/closing, expecting tip, there was a security guard, trying to open the car door, expecting tip. there was a gate keeper, saluting and expecting the tip.

I mean, where's the end? The experience was different for us. We also felt some judgement from the surroundings, it's like Pakistanis have accepted this culture and don't argue or fight back. If there were no service charges, we would had happily tipped but once service charges are included, then why tip?

Discussion Pakistan grants over Rs11 trillion in tax exemptions in five years

• Upvotes

So the government gave out over Rs 11 trillion in tax exemptions over the last 5 years but the details are very vague. They have grouped everything into broad categories like "corporate relief" and "automobile sector" without naming a single company or person.

Ask Pakistan Why Pakistanis are so obsessed with asking about martial status?

I moved out of Pakistan in 2017 and practiced as a doctor in the uk and some other European countries. Never in my entire professional life did my colleagues ask me if I was married or not, not especially in first interactions. It's been a year in my current workplace, and no one has ever asked me about my marital status or dating life. Only time I was asked about this out of Pakistan was when i met pakistani Dr's or pakistani origin patients during consultations.

Just after the first wave of covid, I moved back to pakistan to relax and not focus on work. Quickly got bored and thought I could find jobs in hospitals in my city just to kill sometime. Even in my interview, they asked me about my Marital Status and also lectured me about the importance of marriage.

On my first day at work, almost all of my colleagues asked me about my Marital Status, again got lectured by them about the importance of wedding.

After a few days, I assisted a surgeon, and he lectured me about benfits of marriage in the whole procedure, and it was my first case with him.

Why we don't have basic etiquette of not asking personal questions at least in very first meetings.

Discussion Will obsession with marriage ever go away?

Will the pakistani societal insane fixation on marriage ever go away?
- larka bara nahi ho raha, shadi karlo
- larki bari ho rahi hai, shadi karlo
- beta shadi nahi ki?
- shadi karado bus iski ab
- jaldi shadi karado time nikal jaega
- shadi karado theek hojaega
- shadi ke baad tou sab theek ho hi jate hain.

Like the obsession with marriage is insane in our society. It used to be toxic and insane in 1900s, it is toxic and insane even now. When will we get over this?

Discussion Working on a research project on Pakistan ecommerce. Would love to know why most Pakistanis (young and old) don’t prefer buying medicines online? What would convince you to?

Would love to know thoughts irrespective of age.

Is it because:
- There’s a pharmacy at every nook and corner so people prefer buying it in person as they get to see the product
- ecommerce delivery fees are too high?
- concern online meds are fake
- credit card theft concerns?

What would convince you to buy medicines online?

Discussion What is your backup plan if the undersea cables are severed?

Hey everyone!

As we all know, Iran said it might cut the underwater cables in the next round. So I wanted to ask how you all are preparing for that? To live these days you need information, and without the internet, there will be no information like we have now. I'm a total newbie to building an 'offline internet,' so that's why I thought to ask here and ask the pros.

I personally have downloaded a bunch of things like all of Wikipedia, MedlinePlus, wikiHow, Khan Academy videos, the Survivor Library, offline maps of Pakistan, and some other stuff (using Kiwix) that I'll need. I also got the Qwen 70B model up and running on my MacBook, and it's linked to all the data sources that I mentioned above, so I have my own online-like AI but working totally offline.

I do have a ton of smart home stuff, and thankfully all of it runs offline, and I have everything added in Home Assistant. So there hopefully won't be days where the lights aren't turning on just because there is no internet. I'm curious to know what you have set up and how you're gonna operate without the internet. I might have missed something really important.

To be fair, it's not really about if Iran cuts the cables or not, it's about preparing for the worst. Just today I asked this question to a few people and they were like, "Inshallah Iran won't cut them" or "Hopefully not all of our cables go through the strait"—stuff like that, which shows they are quite unserious. I think you should be prepared for the worst to some extent.

Your thoughts? And please correct me if I'm wrong.

Discussion unfair treatment at home

i will never understand why mothers of all people are so horrid to their daughters. most of us already have fathers who don’t care, brothers who are torture us and mothers who add their own abuse into the mix.

For context, i am 25 female. i have 4 brothers, 23, 20, 18 and 12. Right off the bat it’s an understatement to say my mom loves her sons, she WORSHIPS them. They treat her like crap and she still treats them like royalty. Me on the other hand, simply breathing gets on her nerves.

Firstly, i want to make it clear that i do everything for my mom. She knows my brothers will deny, so she doesn’t ask them for anything. Everything from inside the house and outside, i do it. And my brothers are praised for doing nothing. My mother swears at me, constantly, curses me, sexualises me in front of everyone (i dress modestly, i hate tight and revealing clothes) abuses me. My brothers and i used to be close but she’s ruined my relationship with them by abusing me so much that now my brothers do it too.

My father is good to my mother, he has loved her, given her everything he had, but she’s done nothing but abuse him. In this house, my father and i are the target of her abuse. Everyday she fights with my father and then straight away jumps onto me. My mother says very dirty things to me, wishes bad upon me, competes with me even though she’s the prettier one, she will not spare a moment where she won’t humiliate me and my looks. To her i’m a tool that just gets things done.

My mother has also isolated me from both her side of the family and my dad’s side through humiliation, lies and abuse. If my mom fights with my dad or a rare sight of her arguing with my brother, i am punished for it. She won’t allow me to eat afterwards even though the fight has nothing to do with me and isn’t even about me.

i am typing this right now, sitting on the staircase after my mother just fought with my dad and two of my brothers about literal car keys. They’re all eating dinner now and i’m sitting on the staircase while they eat. She does this all this time. No i do not work, because the job market is horrendous and i have been applying daily only to face rejections. Yes i have a degree in business and it’s not helping me. i’m unemployed, therefore i have no income, i rely on my father and even that has finished now because my mother does allow me ti ask my father for anything.

Health I used to be very fit in my 20s. Now I'm wondering if it's age or just my lifestyle.

I used to be really active and fit. Running, weightlifting, dancing, and all kinds of physical activities were part of my life. I enjoyed them and never really had to force myself to exercise.

Then I started a busy, file-related job. Slowly, all those activities disappeared. The strange thing is, I barely noticed the change happening. Work got busy, my routine changed, and being active became less of a priority.

A few years later, I went on a picnic and decided to run like I used to. That's when it hit me. I couldn't do it the way I remembered. It made me wonder whether I was feeling the effects of aging or simply losing my fitness because of my changed habits.

It was a bit of a wake-up call. Maybe our bodies don't change overnight; maybe we gradually stop doing the things that kept us healthy.

For those of you over 30, have you experienced something similar? Did you notice a major difference in your fitness after switching to a desk job? And were you able to get your old stamina back?

Discussion Priceoye: Never pay them upfront.

• Upvotes

Priceoye is unfair, illegally keeping my amount hostage.

Back-Story:

16 October 2026: I placed an order for "Redmi Buds 8 Pro" on Priceoye and paid the full amount upfront, around 18K.

19 October 2026: Their chosen courier partner DEX stopped updating the parcel status.

24 October 2026: The parcel was supposed to be delivered by 22 to 23 October. I called the Priceoye helpline, and they were themselves clueless and wondering why DEX is not updating parcel status? 🙄. I registered a delivery complaint as well on the same day.

26 October 2026: PriceOye team called me to inform me that their delivery partner DEX handed over my parcel to another courier and they will deliver it soon. On the same day around 3-4 PM I received a call from Quetta, "300 km away from me,"and they said they have my parcel come and pick it up. I said I don't live in Quetta nor have I given the address for it.

I called back Priceoye and explained the situation, they said "Don't worry we will try to deliver your parcel as soon as possible." I said I'm done with your poor service, kindly refund my amount. They said "Ok, we will mark your order as cancelled and refund you within 2-3 days when we receive back the parcel from the courier."I explained that it's not my fault nor are they delivering the product to me. Their delivery partner took 10+ days to deliver the parcel from Peshawar to Quetta, and now again they will do the same, taking another 10+ days to deliver it back. It's not my fault, nor am I responsible for your delivery partner's failures.

28 October 2026: I called them again, and they are still insisting on the same thing. They will only refund when they receive the parcel back.

Now I'm trying to understand why my money is being taken hostage. They failed to deliver the package, they failed on the delivery time, wasted my time, and are now refusing to refund for their own poor service while constantly blaming the delivery partner and making me pay for it by not refunding my amount.

Ask Pakistan Inheritance for non citizens

• Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’ve got a quick question. It’s not a pressing matter hence I’m asking on here but im more so curious as to if anyone else has dealt with this. I had to renounce my Pakistani citizenship due to the nature of my work in the states. But how would this impact any inheritance matters, I don’t really need or particularly want any part of my familial inheritance and would much rather it all goes in my sisters name as she’s younger.

I assume this would happen automatically as I’m no longer a Pakistani citizen nor do I ever plan on returning, or am I mistaken and would it still automatically be distributed to me. Thanks for the help everyone

Ask Pakistan Organic soaps

• Upvotes

Do people really use organic soaps in Pakistan and if you have used any organic soaps, have you noticed any difference on you skin?
Also which brand is selling good organic soaps?
