Looking for advice Pro Bono Legal Services

Hi everyone,

I’m an advocate practising in Lahore, and along with my team, I’ve taken the initiative to provide free pro bono legal services to people who genuinely cannot afford legal representation.

If you’re dealing with a legal issue, or know someone who might need legal assistance but cannot afford it, feel free to drop me a message. I’ll share my contact number with you.

This will be completely free, from start to finish. There will be no charges at any stage, including court fees and government fees, which will also be borne by us.

Just a couple of things to keep in mind before reaching out:

  1. Our assistance will be limited to widows, women facing family-related issues, and other deserving individuals who genuinely need help or can't afford lawyer.

  2. Our direct legal assistance will be limited to matters before courts in Lahore only. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to assist in matters requiring representation or appearances before the police, NCCIA, or similar authorities or departments.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this initiative, please feel free to reach out. And if you know someone who needs help, sharing this post with them would mean a lot.

Looking for advice Tell me about GCUL college and some other things

Alright so I'm in 10th rn, next year we'll move to Lahore for doing my FSC in GCUL college. Well I've spent 16 years of my life in Kp and never went to Punjab that much, rarely yes. How's Lahore? Is it safe? How's the environment? And how's the GCUL college? Is it really worth it? Like my mum is trynna enroll me there, my plan was to take admission in Bahria college Islamabad but my mum was like no GCUL college is #1 college for doing ICS and etc, is it really that good? I'm really confused and yeah I ain't trusting my mum that much sometimes she believes on fake posts 😭✌🏻 (She's doomscrolling Facebook since 2009). And apart from that Is the environment inside and outside GCUL College good? Like andar bahar ka mahol theek to haina, is it protected??

Well now, about buying a house. Where should we buy one? My parents had a plan to buy one in DHA but all of the phases are really far from GCU and now these are some areas named Muslim town that approx 5km far away from them but they didn't seem really good to me. What good areas do y'all know about? Like that are in 5-7km far from GCUL or near, is clean, developed just like any other society like DHA. We decided to go for Gulberg but that houses there are really expensive and we have a budget of 1Cr PKR maybe it'll reach 1.5Cr PKR and yeah that's all I wanted to ask

\-> I posted this in Lahore related subbreddits but there i didn't get any response, the post crossed more than 500 views but 0 response, I think I did the same post in Pakistan subreddit

Looking for advice I need bird perches in Lahore

Hello people!
I own budgies, and i like to keep them in my room.
Now the birds currently have a perch that I took from a tree in my backyard. However, i feel like they could use an upgrade. They dont seem to be unhappy about the perch either. I just feel like they need to be playing around a bit more. And maybe in the future i'll bring a few more birds too.

I need a perch that is similar to the image attached.

Let me know if there's a place in lahore that can help with this. Maybe i can add a box below it too, to keep the mess contained. Or you can share how you keep your birds in your room. Thankyou!

im 22F, recently graduated and moved to lahore for work like 2 months ago. ive been living in a hostel but im trying to find a clean, safe place of my own because i really dont wanna live in a hostel anymore. i need to move by nov 1st so the whole thing has been pretty stressful.
ive tried everything at this point, dealers, brokers, everything. someone suggested i try posting in facebook groups because i might have better luck finding a place directly. so i made an account and started looking.
and the creeps on there 😭 this is literally the second message like this ive gotten in the last two days. i just wanted to find a place to live, why is that so hard??
im so done with this. finding a place to live is already stressful enough, but doing it as a girl when you have to constantly worry about your safety and deal with creepy men makes it 10x worse.
i genuinely dont know what else to do at this point. if anyone has any actual advice on finding a safe place in lahore without dealing with all this, please help a girl out.

Looking for a place Looking for a Bookstore in DHA or Gulberg for a Specific Kind of Book

Does anyone know of a bookstore that sells old books/books published in the 70s, 80s etc, especially old gothic books (you know the ones that used to have those castle like houses, dark moors and women running from the house on the covers?) in DHA, Gulberg or other central areas?

I'm sick to death of trashy contemporary fiction that is all thats available at readings. I'm looking for entertainment in older books/books published in earlier years.

Looking for a place Looking for Kids Clothing Factory Outlets in Lahore

Hey everyone! I’m looking for factory outlets or local shops in Lahore that sell leftover stock or previous-season collections from kids’ clothing brands like Bachaa Party, Minnie Minors, or other similar brands.

Ideally, I’m looking for a shop that sells brand-new leftover stock at discounted prices, rather than regular retail stores. The sizes I’m interested in are for kids aged 2–6 years.

I know of a shop in Kareem Block, but I visited it recently and wasn’t impressed with the variety. He mainly has Minnie Minors leftovers.

Where are you guys buying kids’ clothes from? Any recommendations for factory outlets or places where I can find good-quality branded clothes at reasonable prices?

Would really appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

Looking for advice Steakaway scammed me.

A few weeks ago, it was Friday night (Saturday morning), I placed an order and about 12.15 am. I ordered via app to Iqbal Town and i guess that Johar Town branch was supposed to deliver it. I paid online. A hour later i call the restaurant to inquire about it. They said it's on the way. 30 mins later i call again and they say it's marked as delivered. I get in touch with support who say branch manager will contact me. He didn't so i called again, they say due to a kitchen issue they weren't able to deliver it.

I apply for a refund, they say no banking on Saturday Sunday and I'll recieve it on Monday. Monday rolls around still no refund. Call throughout the week and they say refund takes two weeks to process.

It's been almost a month now, still no refund and I'm fed up with their support. The other was about 1100rs but I'm just mad they straight up stole my money.

Anything i can do about it?

Looking for advice Tint Guidance

I am considering tinting the rear passenger windows + rear windshield of my suv and wanted to know what's the official regulations with regard to tinting.

A lot of new SUVS naturally come with privacy glass on their rear windows, so I was hoping that if I only tint my rear windows + rear windshield may be they might not get me stopped.

l've also seen a lot of clips of interviews with police officials where they say that up to 50% tint is allowed on rear windows ?

I can't seem to find any authentic official notice regarding this.

Has anybody had any experience with only tinting their rear passenger windows + rear windshield and whether you get stopped over it + fine
Any guidance is appreciated

Education State bank called me 3 times in past week

So I have an account in Alfalah Islamic and don't know if there's an internal data leak from their side or what but in past week I have received 3 calls saying we are calling from State bank of Pakistan and you are to receive a new card as old chip debit cards are now being blocked by state bank to ensure security.

The important thing, they knew last 4 digits of my card, account holder name, and the branch where my account is.

Anyways reason for posting is that I knew it was a scam but there are several people who become victim of such frauds so such be aware folks!!

Looking for advice How to deal with "SiR yAhAn BoSs nE gArI kHaRi kArNe Se mAnA kIa hAy"

Basically the title. Open public free parking, and I park outside a business. One of their employees comes out and says I can't park there. What to do in this case? I know they're wrong in this, but if I let my car sit there, they might damage it while I'm away. Or bite the bullet and park elsewhere?

I can name and shame the business if that's allowed.

Looking for advice Looking for a male actor for our university music video 🎬

Hey everyone! My group and I have a university project where we have to shoot a music video, and we’re looking for a guy who’s good at acting and comfortable in front of the camera.
Sadly, this is an unpaid opportunity 😭 We’re all university students and have our own expenses to manage, so we can’t offer payment. We hope it’ll still be a fun experience!
A small request: Tharki guys, please stay away 💀😭 I already have 3 boys in my group, so we’re only looking for someone to act in the video. Please don’t message me for any other reason.
If you’re interested or know someone who might be, feel free to comment or DM me!
Thank you! 🫶🏻

Not Food I wonder what the old cinema experience in Lahore was like

Post image
63 Upvotes

Seeing pictures of old cinemas in Lahore makes me wonder what it was actually like back then, before all the modern multiplexes.

The atmosphere, the crowds, the whole experience must've been different.

Anyone here who experienced it? What was it like?
