Hello!
Im looking to buy a MacBook. My use case Will be work and studying that consists of browsing, typing and minor ai stuff. Also a bit of media consumption. So very light work i guess, but with alot of tabs open. I live in Sweden
What im considering (all m5):
MacBook Pro 14ā. 16gb ram 1TB on sale for $2300
MacBook Pro 14ā. 24gb ram 1TB for $2850
MacBook Air 15ā. 24gb ram 512gb for $2150
Im not sure What would suit me best. I have looked on both models at a store and like them both.
Im afraid with the air model that im not gonna stand only 60hz (i have an oled panel 280hz for my pc)
And im afraid thar 16gb ram would not last 5 + years.
Any advice?

My macbook is not charging when connected to charger but it's light on the charger cable is on when connected to mac. I tried turning off Optimized Battery Charging option and restart method i saw on YouTube for a fix but it still doesn't work. This issue started after i installed an update yesterday, it was working fine till then. I also tried charging with my phone's charger brick but it doesn't work and light on the cable won't turn on. What might be the issue?

hi all I have a dilemma. iām in need of a new macbook. iām not a student so this will be for casual daily use, do I buy the macbook neo now or should I wait until black friday (UK). is it worth investing in a macbook air as iāve heard the macbook neo has the same RAM as the iphone. I would like the macbook to last me a good 5 years so just need some advice on whether I should get the neo or macbook air and whether I should buy it now or wait until black friday? iād like the latest edition as well.

This is just to share information and only one suggestion asked.I might be sharing this post to other related sub.
Any issue found by this post should be informed by the admins to me,then please delete... Please don't delete the post without my knowledge
This is a story of my friend, not mine.
So,What happened is few days ago,Friend done replacement of display and keyboard of his MBA...After 5 days, He spill(8-10 sips) the water(RO drinking water) of his MBA mistakenly...then he drained out...Tried to dry it by hair dryer..It seemed that the mac is dried...He tried checking this with closing the display/laptop...When he opened the mac,He found water inside display, then he kept in this position(90 degree as we use the laptop) in around 3 days,The water dried slowly and gave this device to Apple authorised service center when there very small bubbles inside the display and service center told that they will change the display...
Now that have checked the device throughly but didn't find any issue in it including liquid damage...In due process,Apple has a policy to check minutely if the device has corrosion or liquid issue...So they found none.
My question here is Should he check the device with official apple repair center or should he accept that the service center is correct...He/I doubt that the technician might have missed anything,Any person who can help me in this decision..

Hi all,
Iām in need of some advice⦠last friday, my water bottle dripped all over my macbook air and itās completely dead (please donāt make fun of me, Iāve had a tough yearš„²). Itās the 2025 model advertised at 899$ although I got the student discount so it came to 799. I brought it to a mechanic who said if he can repair it (chances are 50/50), itās gonna be 650$. Iām questioning whether itās a good option atp, since the new macbook neo came out and I can get it for 499$ with the student discount. Iām wondering if anyone knows if the difference would be really big between the two? Iām a screenwriter so I need it quite literally every day, also for my classes. Let me know what you guys think!

Guys, I just bought this MBA M5 24 GB/512 GB. I'm just confused why the RAM usage is so damn high when I only open a single app; Microsoft Edge...
