RAM Usage so high
Guys, I just bought this MBA M5 24 GB/512 GB. I'm just confused why the RAM usage is so damn high when I only open a single app; Microsoft Edge...

Macs have weird memory management and typically use most memory all the time - most of thay being reserved & only used just-in-case. if there are no slowdowns & memory pressure is okay then just ignore :)

“Unused RAM is wasted RAM” blah blah blah. The most important part of your screenshot is cropped out... scroll down a bit and look at the memory pressure and swap numbers. If your memory pressure is green and your swap is practically zero, then everything is great.
EDIT: And just to give you a sense of what “unused RAM is wasted RAM” looks like on another Mac, here’s mine. The only apps I have open right now are Safari (3 tabs) and Activity Monitor:
A MacBook with 8GB would have zero problems handling these same 3 tabs in Safari. But I have more than 8GB of RAM, and macOS isn’t afraid to use it.
