I’m not in a sales job, I don’t text anyone but my family and coworkers. Never send unsolicited messages, I keep to myself. I woke up LAST Monday (8 days ago) unable to send iMessages. I tried switching it on and off in settings and was unable to activate. On my mac I kicked out and can’t sign in to messages either.

Called Apple and was told I was blocked for spam and to fill out the reactivation form. Filled form out and waited 24 hours.

Crickets.

Called again, asked to be escalated, told I need to update to iOS 27 then fill out the form again.

Another 24 hours, crickets.

Called and escalate again, and insist they elevate with engineers (this is Thursday) and I would have an answer Tuesday (today). The agent never called me back, and I called in myself and they said they are still “investigating”. I was told to not fill out the activation form again under any circumstances while we “wait for the engineers”.

Has anyone else been in this position? It’s been more than a week and it seems my entire Apple ID has been blacklisted. The most frustrating part is even though I did the iMessage deactivation (per an advisors instruction), if anyone with an iPhone tries to text me it will send AND SAY DELIVERED. There’s no indication to them I am unable to get messages, and since it delivers they can’t switch to RCS without deleting the thread. As soon as any tier 1 advisors get on the line with me they can’t hang up fast enough if I press them for more info, making me think I’m not getting the full story since I’ve gotten a different story from every senior advisor.

I have a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation), 1TB, Wi-Fi only, that I’ve owned since new and maintained AppleCare+ coverage on the entire time.

This used to be my daily driver, but over the past few years it’s gotten progressively worse to the point where it’s basically unusable. The battery doesn’t even last long enough to watch an entire movie, and the OS has become incredibly sluggish, with constant lag during basic tasks.
It’s never been repaired or replaced, and I’m planning to bring it into Apple to see what my options are.

Given that it’s now six years old, I’m curious whether Apple still stocks replacement units for this specific model and configuration, or if there’s a possibility they’d replace it with a newer-generation iPad Pro under AppleCare+.

Has anyone had a similar experience recently, particularly with an older iPad Pro? What model did Apple end up giving you?
Not expecting a free upgrade, just curious what the realistic possibilities are after keeping AppleCare+ active for six years.

Hi all, I have an iPhone 12 Pro and it was working fine as far as I was aware, until I went to take a picture on x2 zoom today and noticed this line in the bottom left corner.

It does not appear until I tip over from x1.9 to x2, and then remains in frame as I zoom out further, but does eventually disappear as I get closer to x3 zoom.

I took pictures in x2 on Thursday last week, so the camera was definitely fine then - I have not dropped it, or got it wet, or exposed it to high heat or anything since then, so, if this is damage to the lens, how could it have come about?

Anticipating it’ll just be one of those things I’ll never know the answer to, but thought it was worth asking. Also is the solution for me to take the phone to an Apple Store and ask about replacing the lens?

Ok, so I’m setting up an emergency back up phone in case this one breaks, and I’m using this one to set up the other one, if I upload my data from this, and it gets transferred, will I still get the notifications that I get on this phone as the new one?

charger has a small rip, do i need to replace it or can i use it until it dies? i heard it can be a fire hazard or damage my phone when it does die.

Hello I have a text thread I deleted and I want it back. I’ve restored the messages but it only restored that last 1000 or so and I wanted all of them back and it’s about a years worth of messages. The other number was from an android so I can’t access them on my Mac. Is there a way to get the messages back from an iCloud backup or something?

Everytime I press the sleep button it for some reason fully powers off, its weird because I never hold the button only a press. How do I fix this?

I get dozens of these random videos or music in my storage and have no idea what they could be. My first assumption was that Tik Tok was downloading videos offline but I don’t have that enabled. This is consistently been happening. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

To add to that, during the backup process, my iCloud/iPhone often says something like unable to backup despite charging and connected to Wi-Fi. Apple support have no explanation.

My wife lost her conversation history with me. Now shows “messages encrypted” up top. Recently deleted has nothing. iCloud message storage was also set to off already. Not sure what else can be done?

My husband picked up a new Toyota today, and their iPhone app seems quite useful. The sales associate said we’re better off sharing an account instead of treating me as a secondary driver, but by this time, my hubbie had already created his account using Sign in with Apple.

Is there a way to share this account? We can find the hide my email address for the account, but I don’t see an easy way to find the password, and I’m not sure the app will even allow a password change in this case. Worst case might be deleting the account and creating it again manually, but that would lose the little bit of data it’s already collected. Since it’s an EV, it’s a bit more useful than for a gas powered car.

I have an IPad 9th gen that keeps forgetting that I already have a subscription to the BBC app and locks me out of paid content. Every 2 days or so I have to delete the app, reload it and sign in again. Not a disaster, but a bit of a pain - any ideas on how to fix it? This does not happen (so far) with other apps.

So I sold my iPad Pro M1 on eBay and I quickly went into the settings and hit the erase all content and settings and it started doing its thing while I cleaned the screen and got the packing read… I was in a hurry and I don’t think I ever saw it complete and I just realized it’s still in my “find my”now that the post office already has it and it’s off to its new owner. I went in and requested that it erase remotely but it needs to be connected to wifi for that to happen… how can a new owner even connect it to wifi without gaining access. I definitely don’t want to send some stranger my passcode or make it a nightmare for said buyer to setup.

My password works at account.apple.com, but the same account and password are rejected in Media & Purchases.

I know others have had this issue for ages.

My iCloud mail inbox, both online and on the phone is empty, except for one item that's a week old. Normally there are a few emails, maybe a hundred. Trash is empty. The drafts, sent and a folder I created look normal. I don't remember if I had anything in Archive, but it's empty. So far there's no evidence of recently deleted mail.

While troubleshooting this I noticed 3 contacts items listed in iCloud recovery. Are old versions of recently updated contacts also listed in the recovery section? I don't recall deleting any contacts but I've updated a few recently.
