Zero effort from the defense tonight. Been watching Baldy's all-22 clips, and we got guys walking while Williams was running down the field. Offense seemed slightly better despite how bad Tanner was tonight. (Bazooka Joe will be worse than Tanner.)

I still think Sirianni needs to be fired mid-season. Trade off some of the guys on 1-year deals. Bring in a QB and see what happens. I don't think we need a full fire sale; we have guys who have proven to be solid that we will need moving forward. I'd rather see what a new staff can do compared to trading everyone.

I fear the the division is so weak that you might try and eke out wins with the hope of sneaking in to the playoffs. And then what? Get blasted in the WC only to end up with pick # 20?

You ran a hobbled Saquon into the ground last night in sheer desperation. Now we’ll be hard pressed to find a trade for him. Hopefully you don’t make the same mistake with guys like Baun and Nolan.

No more head-shaving. No watering the plants or flower blooming analogies. No “players only meetings.” No more catch phrases. No more making guys put their body on the line for one last run.

Just fucking tank, baby. I’m ready for two years of absolute suck while we accumulate whatever draft capital we can and let all this dead cap money roll off.

I know you’re the rah-rah CEO but even CEOs at times have to recognize the tough times and shepherd the organization through them. Layoffs, voluntary retirement packages, trimming the balance sheet, whatever. You get the gist.

how many more games do you see this team winning?

Teams that are 2-5:

>Jets

>Colts

>Texans

>Cardinals

>Saints

>Bucs

Teams that have fewer than two wins:

> Commanders

>Dolphins

>Titans

>Chargers

I think we pick up maybe two-three more wins... question is if we land a top 10 pick at this point

We will have a new, offensive-minded playcaller Head Coach.

An OC that can actually deepen the scheme and rhythm of the playbook.

Sleepy Vic will be long gone with a new, highly aggressive DC to replace him.

A war chest of draft picks to build around cheap rookie superstars on both sides of the line.

A healthy Jalen - or pile of picks if Howie decides to move on.

Likely out of the brutal Grenard, Carter, Davis contracts.

Zach Baun still in his prime.

2030's dynasty incoming.

People were calling for heads to roll and trades to be made back then as well. NO Saquon, NO Aj, Smitty was brand new I believe. Then we went 7-2 and made the playoffs. Just a reminder.

We can turn this around!

This “stacked” qb class in 2027 is not that good. I don’t have a lot confidence in really anybody to become stars in the NFL. This is not the 2024 class at all. I would only draft a qb for some the caliber of one the QBs in that class. Most of these guys aren’t gonna be that good and some might even go back to school. I see too many flaws and inconsistencies from these guys in college and I don’t think we’re in a spot where we need to just pick one of them and hope and pray they can be Josh Allen (not very good in college, developed into a good pro) as he isn’t the norm and I don’t want to end up in a qb carousel like other bottom feeder teams in the NFL. Plus our offensive line sucks and will only hurt the development and confidence of a young qb. We need to fix the trenches first.

What if the Eagles trade Left Guard Cam Jurgens Landon Dickerson to the Ravens for a 2RP to cover for Ioane?

A couple weeks ago, the Ravens were playing Ioane out of position at Center due to injury, and they traded a second round pick to us for Cam Jurgens. Now Ioane is at G again but this last game had an MCL sprain and is going to miss time, resulting in a new need.

I propose we just do it again.

Thank you.

Hi! My friends and I are going to the Philly for the Eagles vs Steelers game. Has anyone heard of this? Does it include free alcohol drinks? Or do you have any recommendations for tailgating in general? Since we’re out of town we wouldn’t have anything that’s helpful to have to tailgate (lawn chairs, cooktop, etc)

How are we feeling about Defensive Line Coach Clint Hurtt? I liked him his first year here and thought he could take over as DC when Fangio retires but after last night's performance let alone now this season has went, no way he gets to be the DC.

The Defensive Line got bullied and abused last night, he is responsible for coaching the players and getting them ready for battle for 60 minutes. The Defense as a whole looked lost and had no fire in them, looked like they COULDN'T CARE LESS about being embarrassed by the Cowboys on MNF at the Linc.

I have been a fan of his but he is losing more and more job security at least potentially for Defensive Coordinator after Vic retires.

Btw last night was also the worst performance of the year when it comes to pressuring the QB, let alone 65 plays ran by Cowboys Offense and they surrendered ZERO TACKLES FOR LOSS!!!!!

Each week, The Athletic offers a definitive ranking of all 32 NFL teams. But what do you think?

Create and share your own list here: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/interactive/nfl-power-rankings-weekly-you-decide/week-8/?unlocked_article_code=1.L1E.Fvix.KdJJXBu5q-V4&source=emp_shared_interactive&smid=url-share-ta

I was dumbfounded by the lack of effort by the D last night. I couldn't stop comparing it to Seattle's effort against the Chiefs the night before. Whenever Dallas ran the ball last night, as soon as the first tackler got there, it seemed like the rest of the D just stood there and watched and waited for the play to end.

Now compare that to Seattle, I swear I saw a sea of blue on every run play where guys were excited to get a hit on the ball carrier. As a coach, how the hell do you deal with low effort?

This team was primed to be a 2000's Patriots-level dynasty at minimum, and like every other time we get a bit of success - we fail to sustain it, and squander nearly every opportunity we're given.

This is why Philadelphia will forever be a second-rate sports city. Two rings in 9 years is table stakes for being a "good" franchise.

If this team was in LA, Boston or New York, you better believe we would be opening the pocketbook to win 3 more after 2024.

Give me a 5-ring empire, not the occasional Lombardi.

Figured it would be a good time to remember some of the great times as a fan, given the way the season is going. This can be from a specific game or something else related to your Eagles fandom (meeting a player, the parade, a bonding experience with a loved one, etc..)

Outside of both Super Bowl wins, I would say going to my first ever Eagles game, which happened to be The Miracle at the New Meadowlands. I will never forget that feeling watching DeSean bring it across the end zone for the win, screaming my lungs off amongst thousands of stunned/angry Giants fans.

How about you?

Okay so, I know that Sirianni isn’t fired yet, but I feel like the whole fan base wants his head. I myself am still pretty conflicted on the idea of firing him. But assuming we do, who do we go and get?

For me the obvious choice would be Brian Flores, but I’m curious to see what others think!

I’m looking forward to seeing who we move and what we can get in return at the deadline. I still think this team can be a small retooling + health away from being back to competing in 2027 so a full on fire sale doesn’t make sense. I’m curious who you guys would look to offload and what you think we’d get back for them. For me…

Obvious trade pieces:
- Woolen: maybe an early day 3 pick?
- Goedert: again probably/hopefully an early day 3 pick
- Ojomo: push for a day 2 pick

Bigger question marks but should explore:
- Nolan Smith
- Saquon
- Baun
These are all players you don’t just offload for the sake of it but if there’s a really good offer for any I think you take it.

Am I missing any one of any note? Like I said I fully expect to be back to being in the mix next season so anyone suggesting major blow it up trades like Devonta/Carter etc. are missing the mark imo. If we can really stock up on some mid round picks for the next couple years here that would be great.

Tanner McKee ain't it. I know I've seen a ton of slander anytime Jalen isn't perfect but Tanner is awful. He's one of the most inaccurate passers I've seen and doesn't have that deep ball threat. This man is the franchise for the next 10 years and reverting should be built around him. Hopefully we don't see any more, "giVe TaNeR a sHoT!!1" when we have a 3 and out. Tanner's has had 1 good preseason and this sub acts like he's a replacement for a superbowl MVP.

Get well soon QB1!

Obviously won’t stop supporting the Birds until it’s over, but who do we want to realistically win.
I know people will comment that we don’t support anyone other than The Birds, blah blah but we need someone to root for.
There’s no point just rooting against teams either because as soon as they go out you have to find another one.
So who have you got?

Edit: Fuck I forgot what spoiled whiney bitches a lot of Birds fans are. If you’re not shitting on your own team, you’re taking your ball home and sitting in the corner with your arms crossed with your bottom lip out.

I enjoy the sport and I’ll watch it once the Eagles are out. I’ll want one team to win. I just wondered who you guys think. Sad fucks.

I was looking at the league-wide injury reports to see how bad we actually have it. We have 17 guys out or hobbled right now, tying us for 4th most in the league with the Packers, Chargers, and Saints. The only teams with more are the 49ers (22), Patriots (21), and Giants (19).

But the raw numbers don't tell the whole story. I checked the QB1, WR1, and RB1 situations for all seven teams to see who else is bleeding like we are at our core positions.

We are the only team completely gutted at the top. Jalen being done for the year is already a death blow, but combining that with Smitty being out and Saquon dealing with a questionable hamstring means our entire offensive engine is sitting in the trainer's room.

The only other heavily injured team with their starting QB, WR, and RB on the report is the Patriots, and all three of their guys are at least fully practicing.

Not only is our scheme and playcalling suspect, but it also doesn’t help that our offensive ceiling is practically on the floor right now. Not to mention we’re having to start our 5th string RB. It just sucks, man.

Hello fellow Eagles fans I have a very disturbing thing I need help with

Since this season is probably a wash (the rest of the division is trying hard to keep us in it), what do you guys think about playing Ertz in order to get him the record?

There is a good chance that Smitty is going to break it in the next few years, anyway (barring that he stays healthy). Since Goedert is banged up, Mundt struggling to do the one thing we brought him here to do, and Stowers still needing time to develope, why not give Ertz a few snaps a game and see what happens?
