This picture is from the infamous fail mary game, but it perfectly depicts the incompetence of the refs right now.
Like I mentioned in another comment, Iāve been watching Packer football since Halloween night 1994 and this past Sunday, was the first and only time I turned off a game we still were in a position to win.
With the Brewers on the brink of winning the World Series, Iām honestly a little āsportsāedā out right now.
But beyond that, these stupid refs are absolutely insufferable and they are ruining football. I canāt be mad for 3 hours watching refs that nobody is there to see, make themselves the focal point of the game.
The team has been playing okay overall. But MLF with his decision making, Smack not being able to do his one and only job, the receivers and their drops and the nonstop mental errors is just too much to enjoy right now.
I never thought Iād get here but Iām so āmehā about Thursday and football in general. How are you guys feeling about the Packers and the direction the NFL is going in general?

We've been assigned Scott Novak's crew for this week who currently lead the NFL in penalties per game with over 20. Crazy work by the NFL after the past 2 weeks. Gonna be an uphill battle with this crew, really can't be having the missed kicks and drops again.

For this week we have another simple, but good burger, a pimento cheeseburger. For this burger I used a 6 Oz patty on a potato roll over lettuce and beefsteak tomato. For the pimento cheese, I used George Motz's mother's recipe that he includes in The Great American Burger Book.
I think the last time I made this I may have used too much cream cheese, because this version was a lot better balanced. I could taste the hot sauce. My complaint the last time was that it was a bit too rich, and the acid from the hot sauce was missing. This is another burger that isn't particularly elaborate. It's just good. My fiancƩe was a bit dubious about the pimento because she's adamantly anti-olive, but even she came around on it.
Because the pimento cheese was so thick, I left the fries thicker than I normally make them, and man, it made for some good dipping. I was pretty pleased with my decision to make this breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Being 4-3 considering where the packers rank in some categories is actually kind of impressive. Couldāve easily been 5-2 as well if it wasnāt for the missed chip shots and bad calls

Not great. His crew is the most flag-heavy in the league lmao..

John Williams stepped in at center Sunday and held his own considering the circumstances. Kudos to him. With Rhyan and Monk both sidelined, he seems like the obvious choice to start Thursday.
Meanwhile, we just promoted Mekhi Becton to the active roster. Kevin Zeitler is still waiting to make his Packers debut. Aaron Banks could potentially return to the lineup after playing 4 ST snaps Sunday.
Where does that leave us?
Morgan seems locked in at LT and Belton at RT. A shake-up there would be surprising. But the interior feels like just about everything is up for grabs.
Do we stick with Tomlinson and Glover at guard? Give Zeitler or Becton a shot? Does Banks immediately reclaim his starting job if healthy?
At this point, I'm not even sure what our best five looks like, much less who will actually be available Thursday.

Traded to the 9ers for a 4th how did we not get this man
r/GreenBayPackers • u/Lombardeez_Nutz • 10h ago
Andy Herman has mentioned that we have less than $8 mil in cap space. As much as we wanted Nelson, we simply would not be able to afford him even if we have the picks. It would take some major contract restructures or cut a big contract to get anyone note worthy.

Good morning, Can I get a Go Pack Go?
I just wanted to spread some awareness for those still down about the Lions game this past Sunday Iām feeling even more optimistic about the Packers after that game and Iām going to tell you why. The Packers went into Ford field to battle a Lions team who was off a bye, healthier, and that was averaging 32 points a game. The Packers lost both their 1st and 2nd string centers and played a rookie guard who never took center snaps in the offseason (He played very well) They were without, Jayden Reed, Zak Bako Buwele, Newest addition Kevin Zeitler, Edge Cooper, Zaire Franklin, Jonathan Hargrave and Micah Parsons. Even with all that, the game came down to a last drive with the Lions winning by 3. We have all seen how bad the refs wanted the Lions to take that gameā¦ā¦ All that was stacked against the Packers and they were in position to win anyway, they just didnāt execute (Two missed FGās and a beautiful ball was dropped by Jacobs for a TD)
This defense held the Lions to 20 points and will only get better once Parsons is back along with Franklin. I have this gut feeling that they will be playing their best ball come December
All Iām saying is donāt hit the panic button. This team is extremely talented and will be in the mix at the end of the season. Call me a homer, but I know for sure that any other team with those things stacked against them lose to the Lions 41-10.
Ā
What do you guys think? Are you out on this season, or are you still optimistic like me?

How little brother do you have to be to run to your rivals subreddit to try and talk trash?

Refs hate him, receivers doing him no favorsā¦continues to control everything he can at a very high (dare I say the E word?) level. I feel very lucky to have this guy leading us every week, hopefully his time in the twilight zone ends soon

Tough 20-17 loss to the Lions on Sunday, but still my team, win or lose. Thursday night, 7:15 on Prime Video, Panthers come to Lambeau. Let's get back on track. Go Pack Go!

Iām a diehard Vikings fan, and generally donāt come in peace. With that said you guys are getting fucked over in ways I couldnāt fathom as recently as last year. I donāt get it. Iāve watched nearly every pack game this year. In week 1, I remember thinking we got at least 75% of calls that game and it sticking out as odd. We had several drives get extended by Ticky Tack calls (lord knows this offense needed them to function, too)
Then I watched the next week when you guys got all these phantom calls against you again. Then last week with the phantom RTP call(s). So many drive-extending calls against Green Bay. This week against the lions was a masterclass on one-sided officiating. What the hell, man? ANOTHER phantom roughing the passer call? Whatās with the jumping offsides Lions dances? I started laughing because I figured theyād get called for team celebration and theyād pull a Lions and miss the FG by taking the neutral zone infraction, then moving back 15. But nope. All good, I guess!
I donāt mind seeing you lose, but not like this.
Iām not saying anything you all arenāt also screaming about, but itās not just been one or two games, and itās not getting better or regressing to the mean. This yearās NFC North is awesome and I donāt want it spoiled by weird officiating.

The refs.
I am here to discuss the refs, the god-awful, blind as fuck, scatterbrained and inbred delinquents of society that the NFL employs, who should be jailed for what is clear and blatant rigging of NFL games for what is either personal bias or personal profit. In the words of X, āA lot of shit that doesnāt make sense.ā
There is a clear bias currently, and especially this year but in previous years since Rodgers left the team, against the Packers. Before this season, however, it was the regular things occurring with most teams: missed but clear as day holds and easy to call PIs that the ref crew simply thought was āhand fightingā.
This year has been egregious, however. You cannot touch the QB. It will be flagged. You cannot show extra effort and make sure a player is down. It will be flagged. Handfighting and taunting? Only a penalty if the Packers do it.
I do not agree that the Lions should be flagged for celebrating, but I believe that if one ref crew calls flexing an excess celebration that warrants a fine and flag, it should be called evenly across the league. Other leagues, like the NBA, have shown this as an issue and are working to correct it by outlying and outlining more clearly what should be points of emphasis in the rulebook. We hear none of this with the NFL refs.
At this point, I am considering watching only Packers games and āboycottingā the rest of the league (not that does much). Some action has to be taken: the product is the NFL is being cheapened out, and arrests need to be made eventually because there is clear gambling going on here. I am aware the Packers have many issues involving players and the team, but we cannot fight a battle both with the opponent and the refs and expect to win.
Go Pack Go!

By the numbers he has been hit 46 times with 0 roughing calls. On the other side Packers defense has hit QBs 42 times and been called for roughing 8 times. Let's all submit a inquiry to the NFL highlighting the disparity and players safely. Here's a link where you can submit it. If it didn't initially open click the top right menu and submit a request.
