Made this quick lil vid loop after weeks now of non-stop listening to the new DarkLIVE 202X project from dds. The .psd file for the I'll Try Living Like This album artwork is out there to find and to mess with, as well as a lot of stems/samples from the record, which I find incredibly SICK. Almost makes me tempted to make my own version of ITLLT. with a clever title relating to the og and a spiritual succession to the artwork, THAT would make me ascend into hauntology heaven.

I am looking for someone with extensive knowledge of this genre and its various subgenres, who also owns vinyl records, CDs, or cassettes. My live stream will take place on Saturday, November 7th, at 8:00 PM (French time). There will be four of us in total. Please feel free to send me a private message (DM) on Reddit—I will respond. Also, don't hesitate to share my post with any friends who might be into vaporwave. Thanks!

Hello friends! I had released a new EP on YouTube (and later for free on Bandcamp in the coming week) that is both a mix of vaporwave and avant garde ambience. More vaporwave then ambience. Please tell me your thoughts!

For those interested in some creepy albums for Halloween, here are my personal picks, let me know your recommendation !

1. In art of this waking tragedy by Spectral Cipher - Just 1 hour of music that finds a way to be haunting and simultaneously kind of comforting, my personal vapor project of the year. I do recommend the Bandcamp version of this album heavily though, NOT the streaming service one. [DREAMPUNK]

2. REGRET WHEN IT WAS LOST by dds - Feels like an easy pick, this album is really fun but has a lot of unsettling moments. Many of the grand, progressive moments of this album still feel a bit melodically haunting. [VAPORWAVE] https://deathsdynamicshroud.bandcamp.com/album/regret

3. NEWS AT 11 by Corp - Envokes a strong nostalgia that is almost a bit haunting. I think this will resonate with a lot of users as a bit creepy, could easily be used in a horror movie. [BROKEN TRANSMISSION] https://news-at-11.bandcamp.com/album/news-at-11

4. Andromeda by telepath - If I had to pick a tele album for this, it would be this one. It's about as ethereal and dreamy as most of Luke's work, but something about this one feels extra lonely. [SLUSHWAVE] https://dreamcatalogue.bandcamp.com/album/--16

5. Weight of All Things by Spectral Cipher - This album is like the spiritual successor to Birth of a New Day. Very atmospheric and haunting at several points, with a few grander moments to help balance the emotions. [DREAMPUNK] https://monkmuspelheim.bandcamp.com/album/weight-of-all-things

6. 9.0水面下Megathrust by Hi5 - It's not perfect but it's a small little vaporwave album with a creepy vibe. [VAPORWAVE] https://radioactivehi5.bandcamp.com/album/90-megathrust

7. hismajestylives! by Muspelheim - I think many are going to come around to this album over time as kind of a vaporwave modern classic, it genuinely make you feel like you're going crazy as it progresses. It's messy at times but it also feels intentional at the times it is, true insanity simulator (and it has a very solid closer). [SLUSHWAVE] https://monkmuspelheim.bandcamp.com/album/hismajestylives

8. A T R I U M by Hallmark '87 - I think this album just feels very lonely. It's not super melodically dark, just has a very isolated feeling that in turn makes it kind of haunting. [MALLSOFT] https://nightlighttapes.bandcamp.com/album/a-t-r-i-u-m

9. Richmond, Virginia by Class Raven - As much as I've given kudos to the IMI RECORDS crew already, I think this is a great collection of some dark ambient and haunting vaporwave tracks. [VAPORWAVE/DARK AMBIENT] https://youtu.be/CjmrA4mgIL8?is=KfVi_t_1nabdXHgW

HM to g h o s t i n g by telenights.

Check it out. Algorithms decided you should not be able to find or play it. You might enjoy this while sitting in the airport, mapping out the backrooms, or while making spreadsheets

I made these songs originally in 2016/2017 when vaporwave was newer but never fully released them until this year.

It's more on the water-themed lofi side but there are a lot of inspirations from vaporwave on this.
I hope you get some enjoyment out of this :)

Hi r/Vaporwave!

I'm making WEBBIE404, a social network inspired by old-school MySpace pages where you can fully customize your profile: themes, backgrounds, a profile song and even your own HTML & CSS.

One of the themes is Vaporwave: pink and purple sunset, neon grid, VT323 text and windows with that pink-to-cyan title bar. The video uses リサフランク420 / 現代のコンピュー by Macintosh Plus (Floral Shoppe), because what else.

I'd really like your take on it https://webbie404.com/

New Dratz out on Children of Vapor!

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to track down a genuinely high definition, high quality scan of the Floral Shoppe album arts by Macintosh Plus. Most of the versions floating around Discogs and Google Images are heavily compressed, compressed artifacts, or too small for what I'm trying to do.

Does anyone have a clean, high res scan (ideally from the vinyl jacket, cassette inlays, or CD inlays) that they could share?

Any links or pointers would be massively appreciated.

Imagine if Daniel returned to vaporwave—do you think he’d actually do it? I mean, he explores so many different styles; surely he could go back to his roots, right?

I looked up the vaporwave subgenres and here are the ones that seem most interesting to me! Based on that, what would you recommend?

Encartacore

Utopian Scholastic

Utopian Virtual

Officewave

Dreampunk

Weathersoft

Signalwave

Barber Beats

Future Funk

Segahaze

Computer Gaze (depending)

Climatewave

Vaporjazz

Broken Transmission

Vaporfunk

Vaporwave Jazz

Late Night Lo-Fi

VHS Pop

Vaporwave Chill

Vaporjungle

Hushwave (maybe? is it like ASMR vaporwave or something?)

Future Visions (if that's a real thing)

New Sample Free Signalwave EP inspired by OPN's Replica and Fuji Grid TV's Prism Genesis, with some of my own touches (It's strangely slightly longer than my first Sample Free Signalwave release)! Hope you enjoy!
