Hey!
Looking for the best epic and emotive synthwave solos - sax, guitar or otherwise
I tend to prefer instrumental but open to any suggestions :)
Some favourites of mine (no particular order):
- Sun City - Restless Heart
- September 87 - Man Eater
- Pylot - The Return
- Pylot - Breathe
- Volkor X - This Means War
- Volkor X - Stratos
- Zombie Hyperdrive - Red Eyes
- Zombie Hyperdrive - Mare Infinitus
- Zombie Hyperdrive - Nemesis
- The Midnight - Crystalline
Looking forward to more!
-- EDIT --
As much as I love Dance with the Dead - I held off adding them as most of their songs (at least that I know) are wall to wall shredding, rather than stand out solos. But I'd there's any I should add - let me know!

Two short animated scenes made in code, same city at two times of day (clip A and clip B). I'm after real critique, not ratings:
Detailed answers are what I'm hoping for. I'll read every one.

I run ORSA, a 24/7 synthwave radio stream, and I'm replacing the background visuals. This is a city skyline drifting sideways, three layers of buildings at different speeds, 2-minute seamless loop. The bright version plays in the morning, the mellow one in the evening. Generated in code, written with an AI coding assistant, no third-party art.
I'm after your vision more than a rating:
Detailed answers are what I'm hoping for. I'll read all of them, and the next version will be built from what you say.

Halloween music for coding meets dark electronic rhythms and a haunted cyberpunk workstation. Dead Terminal is a two-hour Halloween special for late-night programming, debugging and focused work, with ghostly whispers, distant screams, chains and haunting-wind ambience woven into the mix.
23 electronic tracks accompany skeleton hands at the keyboard, scrolling terminals, cyan neon, desk mist, candlelight and a moonlit window. From time to time, the code skull pushes out of the screen. This is the darker, seasonal side of Slow Lava Coding.
Think. Code. Survive.
Music made with code. For minds that code.

Hey everyone! Just wrapped up my 8th annual Horrorwave mix, something I've been doing every October for the past eight years.
This year I went back through my previous seven mixes and picked out some of the darkest, hardest-hitting tracks from artists like Carpenter Brut, Gost, DEADLIFE, and two of my own original tracks.
I went a little heavier on the visuals this year too, with a full DJ performance, creepy effects, and plenty of old-school horror vibes.
Definitely recommend watching on a big screen with the lights off, but it's a fun listen on its own too.
Hope you enjoy it, and happy Halloween! 🎃

I’ve spent a lot of time carefully curating the sound for this project, focusing heavily on the moody, analog synth atmospheres and deep vocals of the 80s—drawing a lot of inspiration from the darker side of Tears for Fears and Depeche Mode among others.
The first track on this playlist, 'You Can Call Me Anytime', captures exactly the vibe I wanted. I'm actually exactly 41 streams away from hitting my first-ever Spotify royalty payout on that specific song.
If you are a fan of that classic dark-synth era, I'd love for you to give the playlist a spin and let me know if it hits that nostalgic sweet spot.Playlist Link
