im really getting into the genre recently, ive heard some classics from black kray, spaceghostpurrp or chris travis and i really got into smokedope2016, but i want to hear more. can yall please recommend me something?

I honestly feel like going in to 2027, underground rap as a whole is gonna have lots of inspirations from the cloudrap era. I feel like overtime, the sound of the underground will shift away from rage and go much further in the direction of cloudrap/club/synth and 808 heavy. There’s a lot of reasons I think this, most of which coming from the clear possibility of cloudrap reaching different demographics. Comehelpglo especially has shown how the genre can be pushed to mainstream, not that I would love an oversaturated clams casino beat underground, but it would be cool to watch people have fun and actually experiment with their music. The generation that is coming up grew up on peep, uzi, juice, and X to name a few, and usually finding artists like Chris Travis, bones, and Xavier Wulf in their teen years. Just a thought… lmk ur opinions!
