A polish animated TV show named Wirtul@ndia (if I would have to translate it, it would be called Virtual@nd) made between 2002-2005. It features a lot of unintentionally trippy imagery as well as some unconventional voice acting for some characters such as Rybia Ość (the fish bone one, visible on images 1 and 2).

Fun fact: many of the 3D environments were based on the drawings that the viewers have sent. It was made by, and aired on, public television TVP1 in Poland.

The opening title sequence employed early computer animation that cost half a million dollars.

This animation was pretty neat.

I don’t know who animated this snipe, but it looks like it was animated with LightWave 3D or SoftImage 3D.

I know this is quite horrifying but I kinda dig the dark and eerie and almost surreal vibe of this Shrek 1996 test animation.

It also really screams "Retro CGI" and I would love to recreate this for my projects.

The brief was to create an animation of an inanimate object. So I made this as a homage to the early style of Pixar's short animations. I never got round to completing some environmental effects (smoke etc) but I'm still really proud of it. I also wrote an 8 page rationale document about the conception and process.
