Is Idaho part of the PNW?

Most maps say that it is, but I asked my friend from Washington and she spat in my eyes and had a seizure.

PNW road trip

Post image
• Upvotes

Hi all. In the process of putting together a PNW road trip for next year. We are coming from the UK with 2 kids ages 5 and 7. Our dates are fixed June 25th to July 11th and realise this may be busy but coming from the UK we like to see as much as possible. Has anyone got any changes or areas I may have missed in my itinerary so far? We like small hikes, wildlife and stuff we can't do back in the UK, just overall fun things to do.

Thank you in advance!

Seems like the only urban center east of the Cascades is gradually becoming more like the urban centers out west in some ways.

Any suggestions on good places for tide pooling on the OREGON coast?

Also, has anyone had luck seeing humpback whales off Oregon?

If you did, Why did you move here?

What are the downsides and upsides of your new home? What were your first impressions of the PNW? Im not living in this area right now but I am staying in Chico, Northern California, a dry valley at the beginning (or end) of the cascade mountain range. I moved from Orange County to Butte County earlier this year and I’m very tempted to move up into the PNW. What was the experience like for others?

I have driven up the coast from OC to Washington and explored around a little bit before too. The Oregon coast was mesmerizing, it’s my favorite drive I’ve ever taken but Seattle kinda sucked ngl.
