I’m wondering where you’ve spotted humpbacks recently, from the shore.

There aren’t any sightings listed on Whale Report near Tofino, but there are lots of sightings on east side of Vancouver island (so they are still around).

We had our dog groomed at "life of the pawty" not too long ago and now it appears they're permanently closed. They delisted their social media accounts as well. Does anyone know what happened? It seemed very short lived.

We only need around 30–60 minutes to capture the ceremony and a few couple photos afterward (including some with our dog 🐶).

I’m already wondering which places would be the most suitable for internationals in their early 20’s.

I’m thinking staff housing, but I’m down for anything where I can also connect to other people my age while making enough money to get by!

What’s the situation there? Hostels? Restaurants/cafes? Surfschools? Campsites? Any insight & tips are greatly appreciated 🙏

My wife and I are coming to Tofino for about 3-4 days this weekend and looking for some recommendations on how best to maximise our time! It was a gift for my wife’s 30th birthday so we are looking for what places people absolutely recommend.
We have whale watching booked along with dinner at Schooners on Saturday but other than that we are pretty open. Heading over from Vancouver so do have a drive from Nanaimo on the Friday & Monday, so whatever recs people have! We enjoy hiking and eating and just exploring in general :)

So I’ll be in Tofino next month and was just working on an itinerary, noticed that a lot of the tours are around $300 which is a bit much. Any suggestions? Got a few hikes planned otherwise

Has anyone made the SoBo smoked salmon chowder and frozen it to enjoy later? It’s a massive batch and we are currently making ours - but don’t want to ruin it by putting in the freezer if it’s going to change the flavour or texture drastically.

If I remember correctly they sold it to go (maybe still do now that the restaurant isn’t there anymore) but couldn’t remember if it was frozen or meant to be enjoyed right away.
