Thought you guys might appreciate this one. Nobody who has seen this thing gets the reference.

I watched News Radio when I was about the age of 12 and would sneak it after my parents went to bed. I can’t tell you now why I at age 12 found a workplace sitcom amusing.

Anyhow, I’m watching the sandwich episode and it occurs to me that Bill’s fondness for these sandwiches originates in the “sandwiches his mom used to make” and this show is that for me. A harkening back to my childhood. It’s nice.

(Also this episode is one of the best of the series, I think)

I just realized that NewsRadio is WKRP, just at a news station rather than a pop station.

Dave is Travis. Jimmy is Carlson. Catherine is Venus. Matthew is Les. I think Bill is Herb. Joe was not in the original pilot.

I'm just not sure if Lisa is Jennifer or Bailey.

This morning, my husband and I hugged while holding mugs in our hands. They collided, shattering the handle on his yellow Newsradio mug. It was a freak accident that added a crappy little cherry to a less than adequate day.

The mug, which was his favorite, was the classic yellow inside-and-out 12 oz. WNYX mug pictured in the photo. It's an exact replica of the one Dave uses. I got it for my husband 30 years ago from the NBC store. My search to replace it is coming up totally empty, so I'm turning to you guys! Does anyone happen to have one they'd sell, or know of anyplace I might be able to get one?

Note: my husband is not Dave Nelson.

How did NewsRadio grade???

It must have been quite a hubbub when that cow got loose

I just found this randomly on YouTube.
Kinda odd that a FOX show was doing promo for an NBC show (which also wasn't even produced by FOX). It's also interesting that they seemingly had working computers on the set; I thought they were just using props.

Called in sick Monday, (genuine sick, not Maunday sick) and noticed the show's back on Prime Video in the US.

Ended up spending the whole day in bed, watching Season 3.

Imagine going from being the millionaire President of a company to a constantly demoted, all-but-fired low-level employee, seemingly overnight!

Happy Birthday to Phil!

I was watching the pilot episode and noticed Catherine Duke was played by Ella Joyce.

Khandie Alexander started the role in episode 2.

Of all the times I watched the episode, I never noticed it.

"A little place I like to call 'Craphouse Central'".

"When love is unrequited, the whole world is a load of crap. Dylan Thomas, 1987".

"They shouldn't call it 'Rap music', they should call it "Crap music'".

"Crizappy" as a bonus inclusion.

Just curious, how hard is it to find now?

This dude; second from the left. In this scene, he pops in and out during some cuts. Anyone have any info on this?

Maybe I'm alone there, but she sounds better with the Boston accent to me

232- many hands make light work

233- there is no smoke without fire

234- where there's a will, there's a way

235- misery loves company

236- just do it!

Normally about 15 a season this is a great deal
