I just finished malcom in the middle for the first time and i saw the mini series as well and i wanna know if im the only one that thinks that Jamie was very irrelevant. The parents made a big deal abt being pregnant again and there were a few episodes when he was jsut born that were abt him but after that he didn’t talk at all even when he was a toddler (except for like one scene) and he had no major help to the plot and ik he was just a baby/toddler but he had literally no contribution and even in the mini series he was hardly there and didn’t have many lines. Ik that he was most likely added mainly because of Lois actress actually being pregnant but idk i wish they would’ve included him more in the storylines in the later seasons.

Why would Malcolm and Reese be in the same history class?
I understand that Reese was held back, so he and Malcom would be in the same year. But wouldn’t Malcolm be in all AP classes? Usually high schools have different levels of courses for students at different levels, such as AP, honors, college prep, and standard. It doesn’t make any sense that they would be in the same class even if they are in the same grade.

Logically I know it’s a sitcom and it makes for a good plot but it just seems like an oversight to me….

I only watched it as an adult and I loved Francis and hal episodes the most and I am wondering as kid how were they received?

the krelboyne girl (cynthia) in my opinion is a hypocrite.

at the end of the episode she gets mad at malcolm for saying that stuff, meanwhile, she keeps making dark humor and confuses malcolm, as well as ruining his reputation.

Random thought, but I feel like Bryan Cranston could've actually been a pretty good Mr. Bean if Rowan Atkinson hadn't played him.

The goofy faces, weird reactions and all the ridiculous stuff he does as Hal in Malcolm in the Middle really give me Mr. Bean vibes. Especially the way he can be hilarious without even saying anything lol. Obviously Rowan Atkinson is the original and nobody could really replace him, but I can genuinely imagine Cranston pulling off that kind of comedy.

And now I'm wondering about the opposite. What if Rowan Atkinson played Hal in Malcolm in the Middle instead? I feel like that could've worked too, although it would definitely be a different kind of Hal. Both are great in their own way to be honest, i like them as they are already perfected their own character.
