Recently finished designing and 3D printing this cool Pokedex shell and grip for me 3DS. It all just slips snuggly over the Old 3DS XL with no modifications. I did omit the stylus access though because I don't personally use the built-in storage slot.

It’s the older 3DS XL. Came with the charger, weird grip, and 2 games. I want to mod it, as I have a spare 64gb sd card, but there’s a couple issues.

I peeled the god awful stickers and found scuffs, nicks, and signs of obvious use on the original blue shell, both screens are scratched with a particularly bad scratch on the bottom screen that shows when the screen is on. The buttons and analog stick actually feel surprisingly very nice, tight, and clicky. Hinge is also strong too.

I know cost of a full refurbishment is like 175, which I don’t mind paying. Is it worth refurbishing this since it’s in not so nice condition and I already own it for so cheap, or is it worth getting rid of for a New 3DS XL, even though it’s not in super nice condition?

Does anyone know why my 3ds xl says the battery is full/done charging, but when unplugging it clearly says it isn't fully charged?

I noticed tiny little black lines on the bottom of the top screen of my DS, and I turned on my DS today and suddenly there's a long black line right down the centre. Is there any way to fix this?

Just a few scuffs on the paint, besides this massive chip behind the shoulder button.

The console works fine, hinge is behaving correctly, functionally you wouldn’t be able to tell it took a fall until you looked at the chip.

Should I be concerned over future structural integrity, or debris/dust/moisture getting into this chip?

I have all 12 individual episodes of season one of Kaguya sama lover is war and I have them as mp4 and 360p. I originally tried putting them on the Nintendo video vewier app on the 3ds but it kept pausing saying processing video. I have all 12 files as mp4 and I could do the CIA or moflex files myself except I don’t have a PC. I only have a Mac :(

Hi all! I’ve been building a homebrew app for my 3DS and wanted to check whether anyone else would find it useful before polishing it for a release.

It’s an internet radio player inspired by Radio Garden: you spin a globe on the top screen, center a city in the crosshair and listen to its local stations live. It’s working on my New 3DS, but it’s still in testing.

What it does right now:

• 🌍 3D globe (with stereoscopic 3D), real day/night line, slowly drifting stars and the occasional comet
• 📻 ~7,500 MP3 stations in ~3,500 cities (data from radio-browser.info), with song titles, favorites, search, genre filters and the option to add your own stations
• 💬 Built-in IRC chat (#3DSRadio on Libera.Chat) where you can share what you’re listening to, and others tap it to tune in
• ⏰ Bedside mode: big 3D amber clock, radio alarm, sleep timer, and a screens-off “pocket mode”
• 🎨 Themes inspired by Windows 95, Mac OS 7, Winamp and iTunes, plus a spectrum visualizer

It requires CFW and installs as a .cia.

A few questions for you:

1. Would you actually use something like this on your 3DS?
2. Which features matter most to you, and what’s missing?
3. Is the community chat a nice touch, or something you’d rather not have?

one night i was playing with my n3ds and the stick fell behind my bed, ive looked, it has seemingly vanished. I skimmed thru some results on aliexpress and the sort but i was only able to find generic colors, which id be okay with but id prefer matching colors.

I really want to mod a blue fire emblem edition 3DS but the English version is a lot more expensive than the Japanese one simply because of supply and demand. I was wondering if anyone can share how difficult it would be for me to get a Japanese 3DS and it’s difficulty to mod it. Will the language barrier be an issue even after modding it or are there options to change languages at that point?

I currently have a Black Friday edition of the New Nintendo 3DS but am looking to upgrade to the XL. I love how it feels compared to the original 3DS which I did not like the glossy feel of. It also creaked at some point due to wear. It seems like the matte is limited to the SNES and and SFC editions of the New Nintendo 3DS XL but I wanted to confirm that as well as see what my options were for grips. I really don't like the plastic or glossy feel, I prefer a matte or rubbery texture replicated on modern controllers. I appreciate any help on this!

I recently found a pristine Hyrule edition New 3DS LL for $360. It came with a Hori carrying case and I bought a TNP clear case for it. I hear the clear case can cause problems but I want to know the best way to keep it from getting any scratches or paint peel and general wear and tear. Should I get a skin for it before inserting it into the clear case? If so which one should I go for?

I'm looking to mod my ds dsi and 3ds. I've seen many tutorials but would very appreciate and benefit from anyone's experience with modding. I'm looking to play all pokemon as well as Originals like donkey Kong and pac man.

Hi, Just got a second replacement iFixit battery after the first one didn’t work, and have been trying to follow the recommended calibration process (fully charge, fully discharge, fully charge). However, the yellow charge indicator has remained on after many hours of initial charging. Is it normal for the LED to remain on even when the battery is fully charged? Or is this a sign that the system’s ability to charge is faulty? I suspect the latter may be true, as the console has had issues with other batteries in the past, where the battery has worked for a few hours then turned unresponsive. Any help is appreciated!
