Fortune's Weave Gameplay Reject Brigand University Embrace Ornius High

Are you big and strong but slow? Do you have 5 speed at level 5? Come to Ornius high!

Upon getting your acceptance letter into ornius high you get

Instant results: All recipients upon entry to Ornius high will be guaranteed to be at at least 11 speed *

Permanent results: All entrants to Ornius high with less than 8 speed will be given speed Permanently that you can keep with you upon promotion to any other department. (serious note, this is the single most important part of ornius high)

Long Lasting improvement: All entrants to Ornius high will gain 10% speed extra per level,

Extra move :Not only will you have 1 additional move, Ornius high will allow you to climb up ledges and move around obstacles you couldn't do on foot!

Weapon access: The Da Mina sword the best ** weapon available can be used while on the ornius, so you won't feel a lack of weapon utility

Ease of advancement : Orinus high grants easy access to Wing Soldier, Armored Ornius, Shiido and Dragoon, the strongest advanced and Specialist programs.

*3 of that speed is owned by ornius high itself and will have to be given back upon graduation, but fear not as upon graduation other units have nearly as good or better instant speed stats.

** Qiankun circles are not available while in ornius rider university, so keep this in mind when looking for 1-2 range, the levin sword, Javelin and Short spear are your friends

Fortune's Weave Story Mediator reproduction JP vs EN

Post image
353 Upvotes

I didn't realize there was a difference in the JP and EN script regarding Mediator reproductive capabilities until recently due to discussion about the datamines.

In the English version of Mediators II, the passage about Mediator reproduction goes:

"Furthermore, in anticipation of the possibility that a Mediator is the sole survivor of unforeseen extreme circumstances, they are designed to be capable of a variety of methods of reproduction to ensure the survival of human civilization. This is an important physical feature of all Mediators."

However, the JP version of the same passage goes:

"Furthermore, anticipating that a Mediator may encounter an unforseen event under extreme circumstances and become the sole survivor, in order for them to duplicate themselves and leave possibilities for human civilization's continued existence, they are designed to be capable of parthenogenesis. This is also a major physical characteristic of a Mediator."

Parthenogenesis is a form of asexual reproduction that some animal species are capable of (including some kinds of reptiles such as salamanders). Contrary to the English script, which is more open to interpretation, the Japanese script is rather specific about only asexual reproduction as an apparent additional function.

Of course, this does nothing to answer questions about some endings like Alexandra's. If anything it raises even more questions.

Gameplay Fortunes Weave DLC Free Recruit Prediction

Post image
712 Upvotes

I think these will be the free recruits on the 4 DLC-paths.
Nydine and Io on Anatolia and Talimun, because they have no mounted unit, Noctula on Orchel, since she has no fist-user and Peppe on Bertrand for bows. These 4 also don't appear in the story.

Except for KINDA Peppe, but you get him on BERTRAND's paraloque. The only other canditates who are NOT in the Heroic Games are Nuzzuo, who is a boss in Cai's and Theodora's path and Kiroc, but Kiroc talks about Talimun screwing him over, so I'm guessing he's a boss there.

The reason I'm ordering them like this btw, is because currently the free recruit match the Flame Lord's gender:
Cai - Guzzran
Dietrich - Yang Jie
Theodora - Sofia
Leda - Catania

This could ofc just be a coincidence, so you could say Nydine goes on Talimon's team instead.

Casual Dead Shadows of Valentia Cartridge possible fixes?

About a year ago I wanted to finally play all the way through Fire Emblem Shadows of Valentia, but the cartridge is seemingly dead. I have a 3ds XL and a 2ds. Is it worth going through the trouble of jail breaking one to try and save the cartridge or are there other methods I can try to fix it?

Like he makes garron look like a loving father, thales like a saint, sombron a tragic puppy, and grima look misunderstood. Like if there was ever a person in the sothisverse that absolutely deserved the treatment balor and zanado got this absolute evil pos. There isn't a redeeming quality to him outside his dragon design.

I'm on my last part 1 playthrough and felt inspired to do some art!

I keep saying Leda's "There's a man..." line from the trailer in Buccar's country accent.

Also Olympia running around with a Mace is very fun.

General Has there ever been a character you didn't use because you hate their design?

I will admit, I am absolutely guilty of this. I hated Raphael in 3H because of his too tight shirt and ugly face. I still don't like him to this day lol. Maybe it's petty. but I have to actually like a character for me to want to to use them, and design plays a part in that. Hortensia in Engage was another one, doesn't help she sounded annoying too. Maybe she's good but idc I couldn't stand her.

Fortune's Weave Spoiler I beat Routeless Part 3. Here are my tips (Endgame spoilers) Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
62 Upvotes

I beat Routeless Part 3 on Normal. Clocked in at around 10 hours. I know it's not the greatest achievement as others have done it on Hard. I would place Routeless Normal as more difficult than 4 Routes Hard.

Heres my tips. Please share your own below for anyone who wants to try. Really fun challenge. I recommend people try it while they wait for the DLC.

* Early game is hard as you have no money, no world map, no materials, and no weapons. I rushed Dungeons and sold weapons and accessories I wouldn't use to grind my way out of poverty and get Eshmel into Fortress Knight to grind armour ranks. You want Healing Armour as soon as possible to get some sustain, or you will keep running out of HP and be unable to heal. Troy can help with heals. Early weapon recommendation is a maxed out Short Spear. You can find a Pilum in one of the dungeons.

* World Map: dungeons are good early. You want at least 2 Diadem Keys to get Godhand, Avatar, and Trident. The carriages in Arago and near Megaira are really important to get online. The Megaliths are also super helpful as they're good dungeons and free Warp Points. Try to snag some Agarthium to level up Zerberus. Temples are good but optional. They give Warp Points, items, and money, but require rare materials. Credna is the most important since he upgrades the spear

* Characters: Eshmel is cracked. Fortress Knight into Castle Knight with Healing Armour carries most of the game. Lategame I went Trident for White Magic. Troy is absolutely ridiculous and can solo maps. Once you upgrade Zerberus and get Modified Weapon she's good to go. Victory gem helps Troy sustain. Hong Hua really wants White Magic Treatises or Arena to get online, which is really tough since you need to repair towns. I couldn't get this going till much later. In the meanwhile she outputs serious damage with Salamander but needs babying since she is squishy. White Magic is free XP

* Gate Missions: the first few are easy but you must explore the area ahead of time so you don't burn turns trying to unlock the world map routes. Always split into 2 squads. The later gate Missions with 2-3 gates are extremely tight as they're balanced around 4-5 squads and I failed the last one by a few turns and had to retry. You really need the warp points and carriages to make it. For the multi gate ones, I had Hong Hua deal with mobs and miasma and Troy assaulted the gate on her own. For the final, I rushed the top left gate with both, took some hits on Dagsion then circled back to the middle one then bottom. Extremely tight.

* Final Mission: actually pretty difficult. I had try run around and attack gates and then Eshmel and Hong Hua would solo Balor. You need to gun down healers as soon as possible. Hong Hua can block routes with Wandering Wall. The mission dragged so long I almost ran out of Heals. But you do need to take it slow and not overcommit. For the last phase, Hong Hua can Bolting a gate if you can't reach it by movement.

Good luck anyone who tries this!

General Fleshing out the Fates Capture Bosses

Thumbnail
gallery
109 Upvotes

So because of the way they are designed, every FE game inevitably has a few unimportant filler bosses. This isn't inherently an issue unless it's all the time, and one area that Fates actually really excels in are these types of chapter bosses. Thanks to Fates incredible character design and the really fun capture mechanic letting you add them to your team, all of them have a good sense of personality and purpose in spite of their scarce lines.

The result is that these characters who should be one-note nobodies on paper (and more or less still are at the end of the day), I got pretty invested in them. So I made some headcanon backstories, Personal Skills, and extra dialog to put them on par with the main cast.
I aimed to make sure there was a good variety of interesting and fitting backstories that made the world feel more alive and interconnected, while still keeping in mind that at the end of the day they're unimportant sidequest bosses who shouldn't outshine the actual main characters of the chapters.

Whose your fav Fates capture boss, and what would you do to flesh them out?

Fortune's Weave Spoiler The world map gameplay is the most enjoyable thing about Part 3 and I hope they explore more of this in the future Spoiler

Splitting off and deciding teams while your other units remain defending at home base was some of the most fun decision making I had with the game. Then the gate sections make it even more interesting. Sometimes your best team won’t make it in time to finish one of the main maps, so you have to make do with what you have. You can’t shove all your best units into a single team because of that, which makes decision making interesting

Cai and Theodora also have important gimmicks to help boost your team with mounts and battalions, so they should always split off to make the most of both boons from their routes

It does have some problems though. The second half of Part 3 has pretty lenient time windows, so you’ll usually have time to get your best units to the main maps on time. The final section for me had the map all cleared even before it started. 5 Teams don’t even feel impactful when everything is already done. I just waited for Lyrah and Balor to start the final dungeon/boss. Maybe make the time limits a little more strict but not too much as game overs from time outs are really frustrating

Overall this still feels like Fire Emblem to me as a unique overworld before the main maps. This is the most an MC has ever felt like a commander in the series and I hope it doesn’t get abandoned because it has a lot of potential

Fortune's Weave Spoiler Chances of a Certain Datamined Character Coming with his Signature Spell? Spoiler

While the prospect of getting to play as Man (Myson) are certainly exciting enough on their own, I feel like we'll be missing half the point if he doesn't come with Bohr.

Do you think they'll do it? It's DLC so surely balance isn't THAT big of a factor right? And I mean, this type of 1 HP siege spell has been playable in the past.

Basically if they don't give us the ability to instantly cheese the final boss down to 1 HP (at least for a couple health bars) we riot.

Fortune's Weave General Fire Emblem : Fortune’s Weave has likely sold above 1.6M copies during Q3 based on Onimusha’s official sales

Based on Circana’s estimate, FW was the 4th best selling game in US while Onimusha was 7th by revenue.

Though its only an estimate in one market, this should be sufficient to assume Fortune Weave sold more than Onimusha last quarter.

Capcom just released their Q3 report and Onimusha has sold 1.7M copies by end of Q3’26.

If we assume a 50/50 physical split to account for the higher physical prices, Fortune Weave would have to sell more than 1.6M copies to exceed Onimusha’s revenue.

This is a very conservative estimate for FW and it could very likely exceed 2M sales given they are 3 positions apart on the ranking. Either way its a pretty good omen as we wait for Nintendo’s own report next month.

Fortune's Weave General Fixing Floundering Fortune’s Weave Personals, Part 5: Stage Directions

Geez Bertrand, why does your army get two of the most dogshit personal skills in the game?

Dante‘s Stage Directions is a skill that grants +10 Dodge to ally within two spaces… at a proc rate of the unit in combat’s Charm divided by 2. In a game where most enemies have a built in -30% crit effect.

Personal Fix: This should not be a proc skill, why is giving +10 Dodge within 2 spaces a proc, Ultand gives +20 Dodge to adjacent ally without a proc chance!

Previous Skills: Blindside+, Celestial Flow, Cannoning Flair, Heavyweight Class

Gameplay All character rerecruitment locations in Part 3 chapter 2 (slight spoilers) Spoiler

Post image
8 Upvotes

Ok So I keep seeing A LOT of people saying "Where is X in part 3"?

"X is missing" , and all variants. So I made a quick little map for you to follow. Excuse the quality but Considering a lot of them often are crowded together, I had to do this. You can try zooming in the image. Some notes to consider:

-This ONLY applies to Chapter 2 in part 3. Characters move between chapters. But since Ch2 is the first time you can get them, here's where they are

-If you cannot find someone, try looking behind the quest givers or buildings. Some are kinda hidden.

- If someone died in your part 1 or 2 playthrough on classic and you didn't get them on other paths they will NOT show up

- You can get everyone back on Ch2. Search carefully. The green dots are those you havent talked to, blue dots are people you got alraedy, and white are npcs.

EDIT: This only works if you recruited EVERYONE. if you let someone die, or didn't recruit (or purposely ignored, looking at anti Dadao crew) they change position.
