Hi! For a few months, at the beginning of sexual act, my vagina has been tight, but after a few penetrations it widens very, very much and I feel almost nothing.

What can I do? It's become a complex.

0.35 mg of Norethindrone

• Upvotes

I began taking 0.35 mg of the Norethindrone mini BC pill every day since August 2nd of this year. Today is October 28th, so I’m aware it hasn’t been that long. I take it loosely in the 3 hr window.

I am also simultaneously taking Spironolactone, as the birth control causes really bad acne for me. I have tried the IUD in the past for almost two years, but had to remove it due to extremely horrendous side effects (acne, depression really bad, weight gain, dryness). We discovered I basically have a progesterone sensitivity. I gave my body multiple months after that to re-regulate itself before hopping back on BC. As of today, I’m still getting a monthly period. I am also getting spotting a couple days after my period ends for 5-7 days. It’s medium level spotting. It is super annoying, as it feels like I’m bleeding literally all the time (my periods are long to begin with).

How much longer should I expect this brown spotting / a period? I’m aware not everyone loses their period but it’s sure my hope lol. Preferably in November as I have a lot of plans happening. Anyone have suggestions or any similar experiences? Thank you 🙏

Just had the worst appointment I’ve ever had

19 yr female. ever since I was 11 I’ve had strange “spells” or “episodes” with my heart that result in dizziness, chest fluttering, nausea, vision going white, weakness etc. all the fun things and on one occasion when I didn’t sit down soon enough: a seizure. i recently just started pursuing a diagnosis or some kind of clarity on the problem around two months ago. I’ve had a few appointments, an er visit, and a heart monitor. I went to the cardiologist today and was absolutely flabbergasted by the level of condescension. He said young girls js do that when they stand up their blood pressure can drop or spike and it’s normal. And to js live with it and drink water. and that its probably all coming from the 6 medicines I take for PMDD and PCOS. Mind you, I’ve taken all these meds for years for my PCOS, nothing has changed and I had the symptoms before getting meds. And he said to cut back on my meds because there’s no way I need two antidepressants. My fiance tried to stand up for me and said I’ve had this for years and he proceeded to raise his voice to say ”ok but she’s on SIX MEDICATIONS at 19. She does not need all those. obviously it’s not just the medicines but it’s a large part of it” then he continued rambling about how it’s just the medicine. then he told me to cut back on my meds and make sure I ”actually have PCOS and need any meds” he contradicted himself 100 times during the appointment and I left just feeling defeated and brushed off. My heart monitor results showed abnormalities, but he daid that was “a small episode that likely was coincidence and wouldn’t happen again”

the whole thing felt so dismissive and the way he spoke to me felt very sexist. I don’t know what my next step is. I’m still facing these symptoms and it’s affecting me every day

Shaving causing urinal infection

Every time I shave my pubic area completely, even though I’m careful and wash with a mild soap, I develop the early signs of a urinary tract infection. It burns and it's soooo annoying.

I’m thinking of stopping shaving completely as soon as my boyfriend comes round, but he doesn’t like body hair; I feel as though my vulva doesn’t even belong to me anymore when I think about it... I do it for him, not because I want to...

Any advices concerning the infection issue tho?

Vulva pain when peeing

It started last night after peeing it didn't feel anything until I washed the area off I felt pain on my vulva and I felt something on the skin not outside the vulva but inner part.

Today, when I pee it starting hurting like it burns or like stabbing pain and itchyness around it. I washed it off directly using bidet because it's so itchy and It suddenly became really painful and started bleeding. Now it doesn't hurt anymore. The bleeding stopped.

What should I put on it or take for it to heal? And for how long. Thank you.

Feel so sick and right sided pelvic pain.

Hi guys i recently had a pelvic ultrasound that does not need a follow up and FBC that needs a follow up.

I cant get an appt until the 10th of november with mh GP but the feeling sick is so bad ive had four kids and was so sick with my last i had really bad mornig sickness until she was born.

This is so much worse im not vomitting as of yet but last night the neighbours were cooking something i cant even type what it reminded me of as it makes me feel to sick to say.

I had to shut all the windows and door and put incense on.

I could still smell it this morning its vile.

So im wondering what else it could be?

Im eating saos to help but just cant deal with any smells or things that a gross eg my finger had an injury recently and i cant look at it.

Its so strange as ive not had this unless pregnant.

I am def not pregnant.

I thought it was a cyst as the pain matches from recent cysts ive had this year.

I never felt sick though.

The pain is the dull ache hurts more while moving and stretching i do yoga i had to force myself to do it today as ive been feeling to sick to and i used to do it everyday.

My urine looks fine i am very tired and grumpy and have a history of high LFTS and gallbladder polyps still present..what can the GP do i cant go on like this.

Anyone had this happen and it be something else?

I also have pain down my leg and did have bad lower back pain that side.

Painkillers are not helping and ginger travel calm does nothing either

Transvaginal ultrasound question

Hi, I’m 21 and have a transvaginal ultrasound scheduled in about a month to determine the cause of a month long period I’ve been dealing with. I’m a virgin and don’t even use tampons and am curious if anyone has had one done under the same/similar circumstances and would be willing to share their experience or give me any advice. I’m aware that I have the option to get one done over my stomach but would honestly just prefer getting the best imaging possible on my first try in the hopes that I can get answers sooner rather than later. Really any advice would be appreciated ❤️

Anyone else have an irregular cycle for no apparent reason?

Looking at what I have tracked, my cycle never really regulated. I guess it started getting close to it when I was about 17, but I still had random cycles over 40 and under 25 days, and all relatively light for what I've heard. At the time I had an evil doctor for lack of a better term, so I didn't want to deal with it. After I got my wisdom teeth removed just before 18, it completely stopped being anywhere near predictable. I got a new doctor who tested me for everything under the sun, and nothing came out conclusive. She had me wait about 6 cycles after the surgery to see if it would get back on track but everything after that surgery was 50–60 days except one random 20 day cycle. I'm in birth control now (which I was planning on getting on anyways) and have been for close to a year, doing fine, but still think it's so strange. She had multiple blood work and urine panels done in that time period and an ultrasound, everything came back fine. It's just weird and everyone I've seen online always had some sign for some answer they got eventually.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is the lack of a solid reason going to come back to bite me when I'm older? Or might it just reappear normal if I stop taking bc?

Breast/nipple tenderness (nonpregnant)

Does anyone have experience or advise? For the last two weeks my nipples have been SO sore and sensitive. Nothing has changed. I have a Mirena IUD and have for years so no new hormones introduced, no periods and I have done hcg tests just in case which were staunchly negative. I’ve tried more supportive bra, I’ve tried no bra and for weeks. I can’t think of anything that’s been different but I am so uncomfortable. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you!

if someone could provide reassurance or an answer that would be great.

Sorry if this is a bit scrambled. I (18f) am a very paranoid person and have always had pretty bad anxiety surround health. As I got more sexually active it became surrounding contraception. So I got an IUD. I like to think it has served me well over the past year however I get pretty heavy periods. I haven’t always been irregular but since I got it I have very weird periods. (I have Kyleena.)

This might be TMI, so I apologize. Me and my boyfriend were having intercourse and I started bleeding. I have noticed some period like symptoms but I brushed them off because I got my period this month already. He can also usually feel my IUD string but he said he felt it a bit more than usual. I’m very scared as to what is going on.

3rd Papsmear tomorrow. So nervous.

I’m 32 and feeling really anxious about my Papsmear tomorrow! My first two came back normal but now that I’m older and have had more partners than when I was 21, I am petrified.

Here’s my situation:
In 2023, I gave oral sex to a man without a condom. No vaginal sex.

Later that same year, I gave oral sex to another man without a condom and also had unprotected vaginal sex with him. My Papsmear came back normal during this time.

In January 2026, I had vaginal sex with another partner, but we used a condom. No oral sex.

I’ve had normal Pap smears in the past.
I received the HPV vaccine when I was 13, and I believe I completed all three doses. Are these forever protection?

My biggest concern is whether I could have contracted oral HPV from the first man, passed it to the second man’s penis when I gave him oral sex, and then contracted genital HPV myself when we had unprotected vaginal sex.
I’m also worried about whether any of this could lead to an abnormal Pap smear or mean that I’ll need a cervical biopsy.

The older I get the more petrified I get.

Just feel over work and everything else.

Can't handle life anymore. Screwed at work.

I have procrastinated so much at work i can't even say how behind I am because its humiliating. Like years, its embarrassing.

I am burned out, no motivation, don't see how I will ever recover and get on track. And if they find out I'm fucked. I am so disorganized. Sometimes only half my notes are up or they are incomplete.

I spent yesterday being outside in public because if I was home alone it wasnt going to go well.

My notes are everywhere and disorganized, they are not uploaded, some i cant even remember what the meeting was about. Realized I wasnt signing them correctly which FUCK, and I just can't do it.

Im trying to go through each client but I don't see the point of trying to catch up it never ends. My brain feels scrambled. I am embarassed by my disorganization.

I just don't know how much longer I can keep this up. I took a mental health break 2 years ago because of suicidal thoughts. I feel like I am veering towards there again and if I go again I feel like I failed with any progress I made.

I just prefer everything to be over so I can just be at peace and not constantly worried about reprimanded. I'm tired.

Health question

I have really bad anxiety, especially when it comes to my health, and I tend to freak myself out and overthink every little symptom. Today, I noticed I felt like I needed to pee more often, so I immediately started worrying that I had a UTI.

I took two AZO UTI test strips, one around 4 PM and another around 6 PM. Both times, the leukocytes pad on top looked pinkish or light purple, but the nitrites were negative both times. I haven’t had any burning or pain when peeing, and the frequent urge to pee eventually went away after I drank some water. When I peed again, everything felt normal.

I’m also confused about how I would have gotten a UTI because I’m a virgin, I’m not sexually active, and I haven’t done anything that I know of that would cause one. I know you can get UTIs without being sexually active, but I genuinely can’t think of anything that would have caused it.

I have a tendency to spiral when I notice something unusual with my body, and I sometimes convince myself something is wrong even when I don’t have many symptoms. I’m just trying to figure out whether this actually sounds like a UTI or if I’m overthinking everything because of my anxiety.

Getting emergency copper IUD tomorrow and extremely nervous

I had unprotected sex (stupid one time mistake) this past weekend when I didn't realize I was ovulating that week (Flo app predicted my ovulation day to be 2 days before I had sex). He never finished inside me at all but I worry about precum. I took a plan B one step the next day but decided to schedule an emergency copper IUD insertion for tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be 4 days after I had sex, so I'm worried that pushes it too close to the 5 day window you have for emergency insertion to prevent pregnancy.

I've been a nervous wreck all day. I hope this works as it's my last chance. Also just scared of the insertion process and potential complications. I could use any reassurance anyone has as I don't have anyone else in my life that I can currently talk about this with besides my boyfriend. Anyone else with a similar experience? How did it turn out for you?

cramping after being fingered

So the other day hooked up w a guy when I was drunk..not my best choice but, he tried to put it in raw which I wasn’t really messing with, I was too tight anyway so it didn’t go in, but it did almost happen. all he ended up doing though was fingering me (which hurt) and eating me out, but now I have cramps and stomach pain which I’m lowkey scared about. this is also only like my second time ever engaging in anything remotely sexual w another person, the first time wasn’t any better but it didn’t leave me with cramps or anything. I just wanna know what it could mean.

Ovarian cyst rupture?

Hiiii! So I have been experiencing pretty significant abdominal pain for three days now. I had some spotting last week as well. I went to my gyno yesterday and they confirmed that I had a cyst on my left ovary and fluid in my pelvis and they assume it’s a ruptured cyst causing me pain, and they will follow up in a WEEK🙃 it is day three and I’m still in a decent amount of pain. I just feel weak overall. I haven’t been able to eat or drink much. I just feel heavy and achy. Has anybody had experience with this? Are these normal symptoms for a ruptured cyst or could it be something else? How long did it take before you felt better?

Cranberry juice for UTI prevention?

I know it’s been considered for a long time 100% cranberry juice helps prevent UTIs, do you feel that way? What about 100% cran-grape? Straight cranberry gives me a sore throat

having incredibly painful cramps after orgasm on nuvaring birth control

hello, i’m a 25 yr old trans man on nuvaring birth control and i haven’t really been able to find many people experiencing this problem. i’ve recently started back on nuvaring birth control about 2 months ago after being off it for a couple years. i never experienced this the first time around, but every time after orgasm i am experiencing extreme pain and cramping in the vaginal/uterine region. masturbation or sex has essentially become miserable because i am immediately doubled over in pain as soon as i hit the end.

they are worse than period cramps though a similar area and feeling and somehow also make me feel like i’m going to shit myself or throw up at the same time but it’s definitely not menstruation or digestion related.

i started testosterone a little over a year ago, so that’s changed since the last time i was on this birth control, but my doctor made no mention of hormonal interference causing anything like this. but figured i’d mention in case it’s relevant.

i plan to get a sterilization procedure done some time at the beginning of next year, should i just take the ring out and commit myself to celibacy until then lol or should i stick it out in hope it goes away? has anyone else had this issue and did it go away for you?

Nervous about possible STI

Hi guys, I’m writing this in a hurry so excuse any mistakes or spelling errors there may be. I’m freaking out :(

I gave this guy oral last Thursday, (so 5 days ago now) and immediately after (Friday) I was experiencing very bad throat pain. This was the first time I’ve done anything sex-related since last June of 2025. It was initially sore, I even had some minor minor head congestion. It is now Tuesday and my throat is no longer sore, nor am I experiencing much congestion but now it feels scratchy. Not anything unbearable but just slightly irritated.

Unfortunately I went and got tested a little too early. The sore throat worried me, so Friday afternoon after work I went to my nearby clinic and got a full panel. He did inform me that I’d have to wait a little longer to see the results from this partner. So I’ll be going back in two weeks to get re-tested.

I’m just freaking out rn. It’s already been five days and I’m still experiencing this weird scratchy feeling. I’m not sure what to do. I told him I got tested and encouraged him to as well. What do I do? :/

For those who've had a partial hysterectomy!

Curious as to how your recocery went (done laparoscopically)! Im 32, one & done, already had my tubes removed over a year ago and having very wonky periods due to PCOS.

OB/GYN said I am a good candidate for an ablation or a hysterectomy, but if the ultimate goal is no period, obviously a hysterectomy would make me happier.

Question about My Labs

Hello all, I am currently on a journey to find out what has been causing some issues I've been having for years. I have dealt with anxiety and various digestive issues since childhood, but in recent years my mental health has continued to decline and I have been having issues with pain on my right lower side and severe nausea.

I have seen a GI and did various tests, only getting a diagnosis of IBS. I see a therapist and have been diagnosed with GAD and potentially OCD. I just started looking into gynecology to see if something like endometriosis or PMOS could be causing these issues for me. I have done various pelvic ultrasounds and CT scans due to digestive issues but never under the referral of a gynecologist.

I saw a new gyno a few months ago and explained to her my digestive issues, particularly nausea, mental health struggles, and other symptoms I have been experiencing, like fatigue, pelvic discomfort, acne and slight hair growth on my jaw, and hair loss. I do still get a period every month, even though they are sometimes a few days late or early.

She diagnosed me with PMDD or PME since my mood gets worse around my luteal phase and ovulation. She also ordered lab work. I am slightly low on vitamin D, ferritin, and B12, but not out of normal range. My insulin was slightly higher than optimal but not considered high. My thyroid is normal. My androgen levels are normal but my free testosterone is almost elevated, right at the threshold. I also received a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound that as far as I know did not show any cysts.

Where should I go from here? Some of these results seem consistent with PMOS but I don't know if I meet all the criteria. The digestive issues and pelvic pain seem more aligned with endometriosis but I am hesitant on getting a laproscopic surgery for it since it is an invasive surgery. I just don't know what is causing my symptoms or what I can do to help them.

Edit: I am in early twenties and a normal weight
