Had an mri for possible endo with none spotted so doc says my “ovaries might be overreactive”. what does that mean?
I have had really bad pelvic pain for years, like ending up in the hospital unable to walk or stand up straight from how bad the pain is. I’ve gone to multiple obgyns and been told it’s : gas, my iud being misplaced, after it was replaced and i still had pain it was that my uterus is “too small”, a different gyno after that said my uterus is a normal size and maybe it’s endo or lesions/fibroids but would need laparoscopy, and when i went to my current gyno he said my symptoms were textbook endometriosis symptoms and ordered and mri with contrast after my ultrasound didn’t show anything. Mri also didn’t show anything so when i followed up on my results he said that it could be my ovaries are “overreactive” and shook my hand and told me to have a nice day. Does anyone know what he could mean by that?
My Mri noted that i had multiple follicles on my ovaries which i think is normal before ovulation, so i don’t know what he could be basing that comment off of. I was very upset at how the appointment went and wanted to leave as soon as he tried to shake my hand so i didn’t ask any follow up questions. Thanks :)
