Stop by Winston Salem Passing Through from Michigan
Hi everyone, I am a social justice walking activist from Michigan. I was heading to Raleigh for the NC state fair do walking my activism last weekend. So, by chance on Friday night I randomly stop in Winston Salem for a short stop. I ended up in downtown. Although I don't celebrate Halloween, I did notice they had a Halloween event going on. I want shout out to the city and organizers of the event, I thought it was cool as heck as an out stater. I notice people were pretty progressive at the event for a city in the South, and a few were very friendly. I want give props to the middle aged police officer there (As I am not a fan of police) he was down to earth and mingling with the community rather just standing around watching he even greeted me. I than went Camel City BBQ, wow restaurant has one of the best collard greens and Greek pita sandwich I had in my life, very loud SHOUT out to the staff as well. Although I was only there for 2 hours, I like the city just off those 2 events. FYI, I forgot to take a picture of myself in WS, so I took a photo of me in Raleigh, my apologizes.
