I walked in feeling optimistic and walked out feeling like I'd been dealing with a fast talking used car salesman.
They provide a free CT and then use that to tell you how bad your sinuses are with little regard for actual symptoms.
I was charged far more than my insurance co-pay. They said I hadn't met my deductible yet, but in reality, it was for the nasal endoscopy they planned to do even before examining me.
My chart is full of fabricated symptoms and treatment history to justify the endoscopy and pave the way for surgery I don't need.
The few negative reviews I could find sound like similar experiences. In this day of high deductibles, this is quite costly for many people.
Looking for others with similar experiences with this office.

Trying to find info about rehab locations that aren't $10,000. It's not court mandated. I want to go to a place that doesn't allow substances for 2 weeks. Is that possible under $5k?

Have a friend whose wife is giving birth soon. They are both Korean. I read that it’s traditional for new postpartum moms to eat seaweed soup. I’m too nervous to try making it myself, so I’m hoping someone knows of a good place to buy it!

A search of Nepali/Indian restaurants in Cary has turned up a pretty good list:
Himalayan Nepali Cuisine
Himalayan Range Nepali Restaurant
Kathmandu Kitchen
Everest Nepali Kitchen
Nepal House
Are any of these highly recommended? Highly advised to avoid?

Triangle Freethought Society is excited to be present Candace R. M. Gorham, LCMHC, the President of the American Humanist Association to speak on Nov 1 in Morrisville. More information can be found on our event page. This event is free and open to the public.
Title: Belief and Nonbelief in the Black Community
Black atheists, humanists, and nonbelievers have been increasing significantly in recent years. However, Black Americans remain the most religious demographic in the country. This talk will explore some of the history of religion in the black community, how things are changing, and the future of non-belief in the black community.
Candace is a licensed professional mental health counselor. A former ordained minister turned atheist-humanist activist, she now writes and speaks on the intersections of race, religion, and mental health.
Candace entered the secular community by joining the Triangle Freethought Society (hey, that’s us!) She gained greater recognition with the release of her book The Ebony Exodus Project, which examined why Black women leave religion, and she has since authored On Death, Dying, and Disbelief and contributed to Women v. Religion.

Quick side project: I created PetGuard AI after getting tired of digging through conflicting forum posts every time my pet got near a random plant or dropped snack.
You can snap a photo or search an item to see whether it’s safe, mildly toxic, or an emergency for dogs and cats.
Links if you want to try it out:
Would love your thoughts and suggestions on how to improve it!

Hello, I am a African American woman looking for a hair salon in the area (although traveling is not an issue) to help me maintain and care for my 4c natural hair. Even though I don't have anything against these styles: braids, perms/chemicals, locs, crocheted add-ins or curl softeners... I love all of these styles, but I'm looking for someone to help me with maintaining my natural hair.
If the salon isnt in the area, that's fine and I will travel, I just need someone who will focus on the care and healthiness of my hair. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

Does anyone know of a provider in the area who does adult autism assessments, bills insurance, and doesn't have a waitlist into next year? I've hit my out of pocket max and would love to get this done before that resets.

Hi everyone! I am a graduate student at North Carolina Central University. If you have a moment, please consider participating in my survey for my graduate school thesis! I am so close to graduating, just need some more participants. The survey is anonymous and takes about 5 minutes on average. Thank you!

My wife needs a haircut and is constantly complaining about the price of women’s haircuts. Men’s haircuts aren’t cheap anymore either. Will you please recommend some women’s hair stylists for her. Cary preferred, but at this point willing to travel.

Hi everyone, as a first time homeowner in the Triangle who’s been in my home for almost 4 years, it has really amazed me at the range you get in quotes for home services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Literally same job, same parts, and hundred to sometimes thousands of dollars apart.
And as someone who doesn’t work in the trades, I don’t always immediately know if I’m being taken advantage of. Yes I do my research ahead of time, I’ll even ask AI about the quote when I receive it, but it really made me wish there was a way to know for sure. So - I’m building it!
It’s called trianglepricebook.com and it collects verified (backed up by documentation) and unverified quotes directly from homeowners. It’s an anonymous, crowdsourced site that gets better the more people contribute. So take a look, let me know what you think, and if you have received any home services quotes it’s be super helpful if you could submit that info (I’ve made it very easy) to benefit all homeowners in our area!
