I got an M4 Max just over a year ago and I keep it mostly on power and its on 80% charge but my battery health seems like its gone down quick. Is this normal for this Mac?

I'm trying to find ways to save money and after this weird update from microsoft (it wouldn't let me login to use word, excel, etc. with the right credentials, then a couple days later I tried and it worked)... This made me consider why I'm paying >$100/year to a service that I don't use often enough. Am curious if other people have ditched this and if you used any other app (e.g text edit, etc.) or even google drive that was worthwhile. Also if you made the switch, were you still able to access your previous documents and edit them on drive for example? Or how did you transition any docs if you had to?
UPDATE: Wow, thank you guys for all the responses and suggestions, this is super helpful! I decided pretty quickly that I am going to end the microsoft subscription. I have no idea why I am spending money on something I can find other ways to have access to. I will be looking into these alternatives and hope this is helpful for anyone else asking the same question!

This is a weird and dangerous bug. When I receive a new email, I read it, I click reply, and sometimes, for reasons unknown, it will reply to an earlier email in the thread instead of the most recent one. I am not clicking anywhere, just reading the most recent one then clicking reply, but it just defaults to earlier emails. I've had so many close calls in group messages where I thought I was answering the most recent sender privately only to notice that I'm actually replying to someone else's message from earlier. Why does this happen? Is it a known bug?

Hi everyone,
I’m planning on replacing my work iMac with the new M6 iMac but my setup is clean and organized, and I don’t want to spend days rebuilding it.
For anyone who’s done a Mac-to-Mac or Time Machine migration :
It’s my main work machine, so I’ll keep the old iMac for a few days as a safety net.
Thanks !

This is just to share information and only one suggestion asked.I might be sharing this post to other related sub.
Any issue found by this post should be informed by the admins to me,then please delete... Please don't delete the post without my knowledge
This is a story of my friend, not mine.
So,What happened is few days ago,Friend done replacement of display and keyboard of his MBA...After 5 days, He spill(8-10 sips) the water(RO drinking water) of his MBA mistakenly...then he drained out...Tried to dry it by hair dryer..It seemed that the mac is dried...He tried checking this with closing the display/laptop...When he opened the mac,He found water inside display, then he kept in this position(90 degree as we use the laptop) in around 3 days,The water dried slowly and gave this device to Apple authorised service center when there very small bubbles inside the display and service center told that they will change the display...
Now that have checked the device throughly but didn't find any issue in it including liquid damage...In due process,Apple has a policy to check minutely if the device has corrosion or liquid issue...So they found none.
My question here is Should he check the device with official apple repair center or should he accept that the service center is correct...He/I doubt that the technician might have missed anything,Any person who can help me in this decision..

I updated my computer to Tahoe 26.6.2 and ever since the update I couldn't upload photos. Idk if the update caused it or if I'm just stupid, but whenever I try to upload photos the screen shows up with different options (shown in ss) and usually you would double click and it opens, however that doesn't work. It goes the same with saving images and documents, that screen shows up and I don't know how to use it. I'm unsure if its suppose to look like that either. The only way for me to upload documents its to screenshot and drag the image which is annoying. Please help me out, idk if im just stupid or theres something wrong.

I bought my MacBook m4 air in March this year and my battery health was at a 100% at the start of the month. Now, at the end of it, it shows it to be 96%
I use this laptop for about 7-9 hours every day, mostly plugged in to my desk. I am super concerned yet but I was surprised to see that 100% drop to 96% under 2 weeks.
Is this normal? I know it's too early, but do you think I'll have to get my battery replaced in a year?

October 26, 2026 security release addressed 329 unique security vulnerabilities across its operating systems, resulting in a staggering 1,265 combined CVE listings due to cross-platform bugs. The latest update, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, patches a substantial portion of these flaws alongside sister updates like iOS 27.2. [1, 2, 3, 4]
I checked all my money still there..
In the age of AI nothing is real.

When my Neo is closed and on charge, if I run my hand on its top it vibrates. Especially around the edges. Is this normal or should I be concerned

I'm comparing Mac security options for a research project. macOS has built-in protections, but I'm curious about where third-party antivirus might add value.
What risks would make you consider adding antivirus software?

Updated Magic Keyboard with US layout and glyphs not available in Europe
Apple has updated the Magic Keyboard with the US layout to use glyphs instead of text on buttons such as return, tab, etc. However, this keyboard is not available in Europe. The official Apple Online Store in all EU countries I’ve checked so far, and major retailers, only list the previous version.
Is there any information for when this updated keyboard will be available for purchase in the EU?
For reference:
\- old model number MXCL3LL/A
\- new model number MJLX4LL/A
Thank you.

I'm trying to clean up my Mac and get rid of unnecessary background apps and extensions as people here often recommend, but I need to know what's the easiest way to remove all that? Any tips on what I should avoid disabling? I'm not a very advanced Mac user, so this is the only place I can ask. Thanks!
