GENERAL DISCUSSION So...hear me out...when images first released, this was the Batmobile in the Christopher Nolan film. I didn't care for it. It sucked, to be honest.

FILM DISCUSSION Would Jason Todd or Tim Drake be Best Robin to Replace Damian Wayne for Brave and the Bold (DCU) if They Decide to Change Robin's?

There were rumors swirling around recently that there have been some tweaks and changes to the 'Brave and the Bold' film and one of those rumors being that they are not going to continue with the Robin being Damian Wayne. IF that is true, I am curious if people would prefer Jason Todd or Tim Drake being Robin in the film?

The reason Dick Grayson is left out is because it would appear he is already going to be Nightwing and with the Teen Titans movie in the works, I find that believable.

(Also, I hate that little snot Damian and really hope they change who is Robin)

GENERAL DISCUSSION Hot take: I don't really like slim Batman

I don't know just usually doesn't mesh well with me especially when I see him in fan works I don't know to me he would be more of lean athlete or lean Runner, I'm not opposed to the idea but probably more when he's in his early years not in his modern age and to me it just makes more sense because he fights people like Killer Croc Bane and Clayface.

I feel like more bulk would add to the intimidation although I guess that does depend on what you're going for, it's just that I'm not really that big on it and or when he's kind of weirdly twinkified if that's a word. Although I'm not opposed to the idea of when dick is Batman being slim I don't know maybe it's just more fitting than Bruce

Edit: yes I know that is dick in the batsuit I'm just using him as an example not be the best but still gets my point across

FILM DISCUSSION It's time we accepted that these two movies are both masterpieces with unique interpretations and takes on the most popular superhero of all time! 🦇

Nolan's film gives audiences an exceptional crime thriller, while Reeves places more emphasis on Batman's detective work, gothic atmosphere, and gradual moral development. One excels as a crime saga while he other arguably captures the experience of reading a compelling Batman mystery.

It's really amazing that both of these movies are also widely considered to be more than just a superhero movie but also films that feel like they are events that completely engage you with their storytelling and performances in such interesting ways.

FANCAST This is my Joker

Just watched The Purge again tonight and Rhys Wakefield is giving Joker all the way. I would bet my butthole that he pulled from a Joker mentality with this one. He just needs to hone in and perfect a good laugh to bring it home. -Haters beware, I have feelings and I'm not afraid to complain to my friends about you if you're a big meanie-face.

FAN CONTENT Lady Clayface (Sondra Fuller concept sketch)

Post image
• Upvotes

I made this sketch of my version of the 4th Clayface, Sondra Fuller, that I've been been working on in my head for a little while. For a barebones rundown of her backstory, it's essential the origin of Basil Karlo/Matt Hagen put into Sondra. This Sondra was once a former Hollywood superstar, who's face was mutilated, and became reliant on the face cream Renew You, and was later transformed into Clayface by it.
Perfect timing since the Clayface movie just came out.

GENERAL DISCUSSION Some thought regarding the club scene in Clayface.

Overall really loved the movie and its 9/10 from me.

The club scene was awesome and really showed how dangerous he can be.But one thing I haven't seen people discussing and might have flown under the radar.

when Matt is fighting off the mobsters and when one of them corners him to a wall.He creates spikes out of his hand and slashes off the fingers. It seemed to resemble very much like Batman's vambraces

Do you think Matt was inspired by Batman to use that ?

ORIGINAL IDEA/SUGGESTION I STRONGLY AGREE WITH THIS! Do yourself a favour and experience "Clayface (2026)" on the BIG SCREEN if possible! 🫠

GENERAL DISCUSSION Hot take : I prefer where Bruce Wayne is Bruce Wayne, who overcame his horrifying childhood trauma, rather than being completely consumed by it.

And I precise Bruce being the man, a sane, stable, well-balanced individual who can have happy moments, spend some rest the weekends, makes plans to make Gotham better for a better future and who doesn’t spend time with models, I prefer him being with Selina.

He takes in Robin (Dick) not because he needs to be a soldier in his war on crime, but because he doesn't want him to be denied the childhood he was denied. He deserves a childhood, a family, and a good mentor and father. And also to teach him wisdom and fighting to defend himself. Batman is merely an identity that he knows he can use to advance his cause. My concept of Batman is best expressed imo in his line to Owlman from Crisis on Two Earths "We both looked into the Abyss, but when it stared back ? You blinked."

For me, in a Batverse or in a DC universe, where Bruce Wayne is consumed by his alter-ego as Batman, becomes all-consumed by his war on crime, and pushes away all his friends, allies, and normal life in favor of a eternal life as Batman ? That's a failing. That means Bruce blinked too, and that isn't my Batman in my honest opinion so don’t take personally and you’re free to have tour personal opinion on your vision of Bruce/Batman.

But i think my vision of Bruce is maybe better for a AU project, at least the one i'm working on.

FILM DISCUSSION 10,000°F Hottake: Battinson should have a Young Batman trilogy directed by Matt Reeves and an old Batman trilogy "directed" by James Gunn

Post image
0 Upvotes

Okay so I really don't have high hopes for this discussion, and I am honestly kinda intimidated by it. But it just makes sense to me, Tom Hollands Spiderman had a Highschool Trilogy directed by Jon Watts and now he's having a grownup trilogy with Dustin Daniel Cretton.

I think it's just so conveniently placed that an amazing Batman Saga is already happening at the same time as the DCU while darker works like the Lanterns Show and Clayface are giving a look at the grunge and darkness that the DCU can offer. I honestly don't want Matt Reeves vision to be interrupted by James Gunn but I also think that Pattinson would compliment Corenswet so nicely. I just don't get the point, we already have the pinnacle Batman and the pinnacle Superman, so why even take the risk of creating yet another Batman will get compared to its Battinson competitor?

I think it could be genuinely amazing if we let Matt Reeves finish his hopefully 3-Movie vision and then pass the torch to James Gun, and we will then understand why the Batman in the new trilogy is grizzled and experienced. By the way, when I say directed by James Gun the parentheses were intentional. I mean have the story told as he intended, I am sure James will find someone more fitting and talented for the task to tell Battinsons next chapter and maybe he gives some insight on how to fit it into the broader DCU.

The only arguments I see against this are that Matt Reeves Batman doesn't fit which makes no sense to me, the Daredevil series is thematically a seperate universe from the MCU in its own right and yet the character still fits. The fun part of DC is not having a campy Batman coherently laugh and banter with an equally comical and lighthearted superman, the magic comes from how those personalities bounce off eachother, any amount of comedy shouldn't come from Batman trying to crack a joke it should come from this serious gothic vigilante now being placed in a clashing enviroment and the insanity of that situation. If the story needs Batman to change as a character then that is just bad writing.

The second argument, is that Pattinson will probably retire after The Batman Part 2, which fare but there will be an actor that has to play this role even longer and in even more movies than Pattinson could've dreamed of, so it will be the exact same situation but with someone else picking up that heavy mantle.

The third argument is that he will be too old which I disagree, we don't know how physically and mentally the Reeves Trilogy would be versus whatever James Gun had in mind.

Okay I'm very tired and going to bed but I will message everybody and try my best to have an educated and engaging discussion on this topic!

For The Batman (2022) Robert Pattinson’s Batman, would this song from the Doors fit good for the ending End of the Night? I think it would have sounded better than the instrumental soundtrack. Yes, I made this, if you downvote this you don’t know music 🤨

GENERAL DISCUSSION Preferred backstory for Damian’s conception?

So Damian’s backstory on how he was made has been subject to a lot of retcons, so I would like to know what is the preferred version of his backstory.

I’m pretty sure the story ain’t canon but I prefer a slightly modified version of what happens in Batman: Son of the Demon. Bruce and Talia conceive a child consensually, and Batman becomes more risk averse and very protective. Talia doesn’t like Bruce being like this so lies and said she miscarried.

The story then has Talia put the baby up for adoption, but that can be easily modified to she just kept the kid and he grows up to be Damian. I like this idea as Bruce would be unaware of him being a dad and it keeps the conception consensual

What is your preference for Damian’s birth?

COMIC DISCUSSION I don’t understand why the Nightwing x Starfire vs Nightwing x Barbara Gordon shipping war is so intense

Thumbnail

Many people ship Batman with different characters like Catwoman, Talia al Ghul, Viki Vale, Julie Madison, Wonder Woman, Zatanna, etc and Spider-Man with Gwen Stacy, MJ, and Black Cat but those usually don’t lead to intense disputes between fans and don’t get extremely toxic like Nightwing’s ships.

What is it about whether Nightwing should date either Starfire or Barabara Gordon that it leads to debates that get so intense and toxic?
