GENERAL DISCUSSION I Have Been Searching So Long For This Book
Sorry if I've tagged this wrong, but I have been searching for this book for 15 years give or take. I am not sure how I stumbled on it while looking at something else entirely but as soon as I saw the cover I fucking knew it! I remember borrowing this book back in high school from the library and the ONLY thing from it I could remember was the Joker getting ground to death by stone grinders. That was the ONLY detail I remembered.
And now that I once again know the name of it I can hunt down a copy so I can finish reading it!

FILM DISCUSSION It's time we accepted that these two movies are both masterpieces with unique interpretations and takes on the most popular superhero of all time! đŚ
Nolan's film gives audiences an exceptional crime thriller, while Reeves places more emphasis on Batman's detective work, gothic atmosphere, and gradual moral development. One excels as a crime saga while he other arguably captures the experience of reading a compelling Batman mystery.
It's really amazing that both of these movies are also widely considered to be more than just a superhero movie but also films that feel like they are events that completely engage you with their storytelling and performances in such interesting ways.

COMIC DISCUSSION I donât understand why the Nightwing x Starfire vs Nightwing x Barbara Gordon shipping war is so intense
Many people ship Batman with different characters like Catwoman, Talia al Ghul, Viki Vale, Julie Madison, Wonder Woman, Zatanna, etc and Spider-Man with Gwen Stacy, MJ, and Black Cat but those usually donât lead to intense disputes between fans and donât get extremely toxic like Nightwingâs ships.
What is it about whether Nightwing should date either Starfire or Barabara Gordon that it leads to debates that get so intense and toxic?

FILM DISCUSSION Mask of the Phantasm
Every single time. And I think the shot of the lightning flashing behind the grave is even more impactful than the âI didnât expect to me happyâ he feels like his parents and the gods themselves are conspiring to make him do this. Itâs utterly brilliant.

I know, I know. Officially, weâll never see anything as good as this.
But I think itâs worth at least having some fun and imagining a scenario like this. Itâs not like weâre hurting anyone, right?

COMIC DISCUSSION Loved Year One Batman: Scarecrow
I just finished reading Batman Year One: Scarcrow, and really enjoyed it! I love the serial killer vibe it has and how it really dives into the characters origins, which is, for me, the best part.
One thing I disliked about it is the way Batman behaves, which I found very strange and different from his usual interpretations, but, since he isn't as much of a protagonist as Crane is, it didn't bother me much.
Overall, fun to read, especially in Halloween, and one of my favorite Scarecrow stories so far.

GENERAL DISCUSSION Hot take : I prefer where Bruce Wayne is Bruce Wayne, who overcame his horrifying childhood trauma, rather than being completely consumed by it.
And I precise Bruce being the man, a sane, stable, well-balanced individual who can have happy moments, spend some rest the weekends, makes plans to make Gotham better for a better future and who doesnât spend time with models, I prefer him being with Selina.Â
He takes in Robin (Dick) not because he needs to be a soldier in his war on crime, but because he doesn't want him to be denied the childhood he was denied. He deserves a childhood, a family, and a good mentor and father. And also to teach him wisdom and fighting to defend himself. Batman is merely an identity that he knows he can use to advance his cause. My concept of Batman is best expressed imo in his line to Owlman from Crisis on Two Earths "We both looked into the Abyss, but when it stared back ? You blinked."
For me, in a Batverse or in a DC universe, where Bruce Wayne is consumed by his alter-ego as Batman, becomes all-consumed by his war on crime, and pushes away all his friends, allies, and normal life in favor of a eternal life as Batman ? That's a failing. That means Bruce blinked too, and that isn't my Batman in my honest opinion so donât take personally and youâre free to have tour personal opinion on your vision of Bruce/Batman.
But i think my vision of Bruce is maybe better for a AU project, at least the one i'm working on.
