2E Player Age of Ashes: I got lost!

I’m running Age of Ashes and I got lost! Three things got me back on track. I only read the current chapter and the next one, never the whole book: the book is written for the author’s story, not for the GM on a Tuesday night, and reading ahead just fills your head with things the party won’t meet for months. Updated after the session, never during. And a pencil mark on every “if the PCs do X” branch, because those are exactly the spots where I used to lose the thread. Did you play AoA? What do you think about?

1E Player Punch magic

If I understand things right. If you cast a spell with a range of touch, you have three options for delivery

A) you get a free touch attack the turn you cast it

B) hold the charge and hope something hits you with a natural weapon, eating the spell in the process

C) hold the charge until your next turn, then you can clock something with either an unarmed strike or a natural weapon to deliver the spell.

My question is if there is anyway to perform option C on the same turn you cast it rather than waiting? I know magus can do it, but is there any feat or trait that lets, like, a sorcerer or witch do a magic punch the same turn they cast shocking grasp or what have you?

Basically title, would a barbarian's normal dr stack with the dr against nonlethal damage from greater undead blood?

1E Player Some questions about PRC's

  1. What makes a good PRC?

I see many the ones consider good either progress the base classes features or offer something really unique.

  1. Would you allow some of the more specific PRC requirements to be waived?

Such as many of the ones that require you to worship a specific god, you would allow anyone to take it for example.

1E GM Sell me on your favorite 1e AP

• Upvotes

I will be running an AP in the near future, and while I possess a great number of them already, I'm always looking for more. Most 1e APs have amazing premises imho and I've not yet seen one fall so flat that it's not fun to play anymore. Thus far, I've already played Rise Of The Runelords. We're currently in book 6 of Strange Aeons as well as Book 2 of Serpent Skull, and I've played both Pathfinder CRPGs (Kingmaker and Wrath Of The Righteous). However, I can't decide which AP I want to run (which is also why I'm letting my players decide), as there's just too many awesome premises to choose from!

As such, I want to hear from you. Which is your favorite 1e AP, and why is that the case? Any fond memories or exciting stories you want to share about it (spoiler-free of course)?

Link: Forced Mercy

This spell was not renamed in the Remaster. The Knights of Last Call 'All Spells Ranked' series ranked this spell as Unranked Tier. Would you change that ranking, and why?

What items or class features synergize well with this spell?

Have you ever used this spell? If so, how did it go?

Why is this spell good/bad?

What are some creative uses for this spell?

What's the cheesiest thing you can do with this spell?

If you were to modify this spell, how would you do it?

Does this spell seem like it was meant for PCs or NPCs?

1E GM Loot ideas for a low level party

Does anybody have an idea for any cool low level loot items to suit a Brawler, Rogue, Wizard or a Shaman. So far pretty much everything they find they just sell. I know about the usual stuff, weapons, armour, cloak of resistance, ring of protection. I’m looking for something a bit more interesting that they will probably use and not immediately discard. Any ideas?
Cheers!

1E Resources Daily Magic Item for October 28, 2026: Hyperboreal Robe

• Upvotes

Today's magic item is the  Hyperboreal Robe

+2 to saves, and deal 1d6 cold damage to any who strike wearer with touch attack, unarmed strike, or natural weapon.

  1. Would you buy this item?
  2. Would you spend 1.5 times the price to add it to an existing item?
  3. Would you use the item, if you found it? Or is it immediate sell-bait?
  4. Would a GM use the item?
  5. Is there anything cheesy that could be done with it?
