My 1990 Nissan Maxima 🤎

Bought this as my first car a year ago. Didn’t know at the time but over time I’ve heard they are actually pretty rare to find running with everything working.

I’ve fallen in love with this car, the old school dash and everything. Drives pretty smoothly as well.

Just coming on here to see if anyone is interested in what I have (not that I’m selling) and if any of you have had your own ‘90 and how did you like it?

What should I do to keep this grail running in good condition. 221k miles on the dash, only problem I’ve ever had was alternator and battery.

2025 Nissan Sentra SV – Rear rotor grinding issue at 32,000 km. Is this normal?

I bought my 2025 Nissan Sentra SV in August 2025, and it has around 32,000 km.
Today, Mr. Lube told me one rear rotor has a grinding issue, but there’s no noticeable noise. Nissan said it’s not covered under warranty.
Is this common at this mileage? Does the rotor need replacing, or should I get a second opinion? I’ve attached photos.
Thanks!

I have a Nissan NV2500 that doesn’t have any speakers in the dash I was wondering if anybody has had the same experience and put in some speakers did it have the wires or did you ran some wires yourself ? And if your NV2500 did have speakers how does the connection look.

Should I Buy My Friend's 2018 Rogue SL Platinum? Location is Ontario Canada

My friend is moving out of the country and selling her rogue. I am turning in a lease at the same time and need another car.

It's a 2018 Nissan Rogue SL (platinum? or premium?) with moonroof and leather seats and all the fancy stuff. No apple carplay though which sucks. 125,000 kms, no accidents.

It's been well maintained, has recently had breaks, callipers, transmission flush and a couple of bearings replaced. It passed a safety inspection a couple months ago but I will redo it. Comes with a set of winters and a new-ish set of all weathers and I also have a set of winters that will fit.

The big issue that I thought was minor but apparently isn't, is a large rust spot above the windshield. This is apparently common in these cars. I asked for an estimate at an autobody garage and he said he would absolutely not buy the car because of this. He estimated $1k CAD to replace it and said basically it's a huge hazard that affects the structure of the windshield and even if it's fixed it will keep coming back. Is this true? Is there no way to prevent it from coming back? Surely there must be ...?

Because of this and the age of the car and her motivation to sell quickly she is asking CAD $11,000. This appears to be a couple thousand lower than what the market is looking like. The car also needs an alignment. I am trying to get an appointment with a garage for a safety inspection and to advise me on the car's value. I want them to also make sure the transmission is working well and there are no other red flags.

Is it worth buying the car and getting the spot fixed and driving it for a couple of years and reselling it (will I have trouble reselling it?)? I just don't want to be tied into a long term car loan or lease and I desperately don't want to deal with the used car market. This just seems like a win-win for both of us and the timing seems meant to be.

R53 Pathfinder Tire and Size Upgrade

I wanted the ground clearance of the Rock Creek edition, but the interior features of the SL!

I wanted to understand how close I could get to Rock Creek ground clearance without modifying the suspension.

The SL comes with 255/60R18 tires, which are about 30 inches in diameter. The Rock Creek uses slightly larger 265/60R18 tires, but it also has a factory lifted suspension—so its additional ground clearance is a combination of both the tires and the suspension lift.

I went larger than the Rock Creek tire size and installed 265/65R18 Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires. At about 31.6 inches in diameter, they increase the SL’s ground clearance by roughly 0.8 inch through tire height alone.

That gets the SL very close to the Rock Creek’s overall ground-clearance figure without a suspension lift, while also giving it a fuller, more rugged stance.

On my 2026 Pathfinder SL 4WD, they fit the stock 18-inch wheels with no lift, spacers, trimming, or rubbing at full steering lock.

I hope all my obsessing over this helps somebody! :)

Whirring/humming noise when coasting or decelerating (nissan kicks 2021)

Hi everyone! My 2021 Nissan Kicks has about 60,000 miles and makes the noise in this video while coasting or decelerating.
It happens at any speed, disappears when I accelerate, and doesn’t change when turning. The car otherwise drives smoothly.
Has anyone experienced a similar noise? What ended up being the cause and fix?

2020 SR Drive Cycle

Replaced the battery around 84k miles, currently at 86.5k, have done every type of drive imaginable and the internal computers are still registering as not ready. Nearly through my extended tags permit, this is the 5th time it’s failed. What the actual fuck. Has anyone else in this forum had experience with this, what was the solution?

I only drive <2010 diesels and am not knowledgeable on newer/recent engines like these.

Thanks in advance 👍

2026 Murano - AC Turning Off

Anyone else have random issues with the AC turning off?

We have a new 2026 Murano & noticed while driving with the AC on randomly it will turn off. I can go into the touch screen and turn it back on and all is well but it happens randomly while driving.

I can’t seem to actively do anything to trigger it but it happens just about everytime we drive the car. Could happen within minutes of driving or 30+ minutes in to the drive. I was able to get a video of it (uploading shortly).

Dealer had no idea and essentially nothing was changed.

Just curious, everything else seems fine and the fiancé loves it besides this annoyance.

Nissan Rouge Car problems

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

My car is turning off on red lights. I can turn it back on right away.
My car is a 2014 Nissan rouge so it doesn’t turn off to save gas like the new cars.
I took my car to Nissan this am and they said their computers don’t show any codes and that nothing is wrong either the car.
I know my car has and issue I just changed the oil spark plugs and filter.
I don’t know what to do now. I bought the car in CarMax last year, I do have a warranty.
Can somebody advise me on what to ask or do?
The Nissan mechanic just said the computer doesn’t show anything, they drove the car and it didn’t act up so they are done.
I’m so frustrated.

Sorry this is me writing English as a second language so my grammar or spelling is not good.

Got this from my Uncle. Still drives well. Maybe just need a lil cleaning on the throttle body. Overall still in good quality. I love how spacious this is for my family of 4. Currently sitting at 174k miles. Any tips how to maintain and keep this thing running?
