Question/Request Random question: Was Kurt a fan of the Seattle Mariners?

I’m a big baseball fan so I’m curious if he ever watched them or mentioned them before. They’re kind of underdogs, so a part of me wonders if he liked them.

Question/Request Where’s the interview with Charles Peterson when he talks about Kurt’s stomach issues when he saw him on Capitol Hill, right before Kurt died?

I know he’s told the story a few times. All I know is he ran into Kurt on Capitol Hill.

I’m not talking about the Last 48 Hours of KC, I believe it’s a newer interview he did? Thanks

Gear/Equipment Kurt Cobain's Phase 4 Natural Finish Univox Hifliers, all the info I've gathered

The first picture is from the vault of Kurt's belongings, the second is from the in utero tour rehearsals in October 1993, and the final picture is info from KurtsEquipment.com , these two photographs are the only two I could find online of either of them, both of these are the one that stayed natural finished, the one that was repainted in a Van Gogh style has no pictures on the internet (I would LOVE to be proven wrong about that). But my reason for posting this is not just to put out there what info I could find, but also to see if anyone else has any more that I've missed, any pictures of the naked finish one or the van gogh one, or any quotes from anybody close to the band like Ernie Bailey, also the picture from the "Vault" is very blurry and pixelated because it's a bad screenshot, there is a much higher quality version of this photo on the special features of the Montage Of Heck DVD, if anybody has that DVD and has a way to get the full resolution picture, I would greatly appreciate having that image, thank you so much

Discussion Which song would you pick to show how underrated Krist was?

I’d probably go with Blew. The bass feels like the spine of the whole thing, especially the opening. It’s one of those songs where taking the bass away would completely change its personality.

Photo Album October 27, 1993 - Kalamazoo, MI, US Nirvana is photographed by Mark Seliger at the Park Trades Center for Rolling Stone.

Seliger, who had flown in from New York specifically for the session, took around 600 photographs to capture the band for the article. As a tongue-in-cheek nod to Nirvana's commercial success, he brought Brooks Brothers suits, which Kurt found amusing and responded to enthusiastically.

Claire Jordan Brooks, a four-month-old girl from Kalamazoo, was also present at the shoot, having been invited to fit the theme of the In Utero album. In approximately 80 photographs, Kurt held Claire in his arms. To Claire's mother's relief, Rolling Stone ultimately abandoned its initial suggestions of shaving the baby's head or painting her fingernails red.

Recalling that day, Claire's mother, Holly, said:

"I was surprised by how nice they were. Real gentlemen - wonderful people."

Little Claire, for her part, received $100 and a photograph with the band, while her father, Ed, was given free tickets and backstage passes.

"When In Utero was about to be released, I was assigned to photograph the band again, and I was sure the musicians would simply refuse. You know, say something like, 'No, we had a terrible experience.' But to my great surprise, they were perfectly fine with me being chosen again as the photographer.

"I came up with an idea for a kind of response to that previous photograph. I ordered three Brooks Brothers suits - as an answer to the message, 'Corporate magazines still suck.' I thought, 'Well, if they don't have a sense of humor about this, we'll just take a regular portrait.' They all put on the suits, and it was hilarious. And you could tell that Kurt was almost giving me a gift, as if to thank me for not ruining that previous cover.

"Then I put together a composition for all three of them - something like a strange diorama with roses and the heads of baby dolls. But it worked best when he was the only one in the frame. The whole thing was supposed to look more like a painting than a photograph. More like an illustration. That shot sat in the archives for about 25 years before we ever used it. And then it became a book cover.

"But whenever I think back to that photo shoot, I think of it as a gift Kurt gave me as a sign of... I don't want to say it was respect exactly, because I don't know... I just feel that, in his own way, he was saying, 'I appreciate that you didn't try to change anything. You didn't try to push us in a different direction. You didn't complain about it. You just let us remain the band that we are.'"

- Mark Seliger
