Flipped for a copy of Fopp
Man, I wanted this so bad back in the day and it was always out of my reach whenever I saw a copy. This popped up on my FB Marketplace feed, dude was in my town and I couldn’t resist.
Super clean. One very light drag mark but other than that VG++ to near mint. Celebrating with a beer before I head back and throw it on.

Does anyone else prefer Chris Cornell’s solo albums over Soundgarden an Audioslave?
I love his solo albums so much. Higher Truth is the second best album of all time for me, right behind The Sound of Perseverance by Death.

Rowing bass tab
I made a bass tab for Rowing since I can't find a consistent tab for the song so this is how I play Rowing. It's one of my favorite songs because it reminds me of a passacaglia

Reel Recommendation!
instagram.comSometimes the algorithm works in your favour! After becoming a KEO fan very quickly over the summer, this reel came up. Listened to Soundgarden on the way home from work and loved their stuff Spoonman my favourite so far.
I look forward to listening to Soundgarden more!
Also for reference the other bands.
The Smashing Pumpkins-2nd favourite artist of all time(were 1st)
Radiohead- brilliant
Jeff Buckley- need to give a proper listen, only heard a few songs.
Alice in Chains- haven't listened to.
It's always a fun story how we stumble upon artists we like I love it.

Looking for a full video of Chris Cornell 6/22/16 Richmond VA
I know this is a long shot, let me know if you know of a different sub that might be better for this post. There are clips on YT but I would like a full version if anyone has it. Thanks

“Mike McCready, Kim Thayil and I have always been fans of Ace Frehley. Mike showed me some Ace riffs over the years that I still use”: No matter what Soundgarden’s future holds, Matt Cameron’s love of guitar continues
Cameron looked up to local legends like Buzz Osborne, Jerry Cantrell and Tom Price. But above all else, his friendship with McCready – sometimes an auxiliary Soundgarden player – helped solidify his interest in guitar. Sometimes the Pearl Jam man borrows Cameron’s prized amp, a vintage Vox AC30; he’s used it on several Pearl Jam albums.
“Chris Cornell always said Mike was our honorary fifth member,” Cameron says. McCready’s most recent appearance with Soundgarden was during halftime of the opening home game for reigning Super Bowl champs, the Seattle Seahawks. “It was a blast. Having Taylor Momsen, Mike, [Seahawks drumline] Blue Thunder and our crew join us made it all the more special.”
Cameron, Thayil and bassist Ben Shepherd are nearing the release of their last recordings with Cornell, who died in 2017. “The album is mixed and ready for mastering,” he says. “The process of finishing the tracks has been inspiring and bittersweet at the same time – but I’m excited for our fans to hear it.”
He adds: “I’m definitely up for more shows in the future. But it’s always tricky replacing key members, and the three of us are not on the same page about how that would work, so who knows?”

Someone to die for
I heard this before a number of years ago but completely forgot all about it until it randomly popped up on my feed today. An unreleased ballad from the Euphoria Morning sessions; definitely fits musically with the stuff that Chris did in that album, though maybe not to the taste of those that prefer the heavier SG/AS stuff. Still, his vocals . . . RIP Chris

Birth Ritual (Isolated Vocal)
Hello. Happy weekend wherever you are in this world.
This is an isolated vocal video I put together a while back. Was talking with a friend today about the GOAT of hard rock and/or metal. It's probably obvious who gets my vote.
I got back home and had to email him this vid, just so he understands. He was a fan back in the day, but not a hardcore. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbCHogNFW_U

Kim Thayil Memoir Audiobook UK
Does anyone know of anywhere the audiobook version is available in the UK? Everywhere I look I get messages about publisher restrictions. I've only used Audible so far but wasn't sure if there's a trusted DRM free audiobook seller

Burden in my Hand 7” Limited Vinyl
Just got this in today! My favorite tune off DotU, and the b side Karaoke is a real sleeper hit; so sleeper that I HAD NEVER HEARD IT BEFORE!!! I’m pretty shocked, since I fancy myself a pretty learned Soundgarden fan, and because it sounds so good! Very happy with this purchase!!!

New grunge book by Gillian Gaar (interview with author)
Gillian Gaar, who wrote for The Rocket in Seattle in the 90s, has a great new book out a book today. There was quite a bit in there I didn’t know about, but I was 14 and living on the east coast when Nevermind came out, I probably knew less than I thought I did!
In an interview, Gillian told me about the bands that could’ve made it big and didn’t, Kurt Cobain’s fatigue with the press even before Nevermind was released and landing a big interview with Courtney Love after the infamous Vanity Fair issues.
I hope you enjoy my piece, and I highly recommend that you check out the book.

More songs similar to Zero Chance
I absolutely love Zero Chance, the guitar and bass lines are beautiful, Chris' vocals are phenomenal. I tried getting into other songs like Fresh Tendrils and The Day I Tried to Live, but it hasn't clicked for me yet. Appreciate any recommendations :)

Head Down
I was a bit of a late bloomer with Soundgarden, but they’ve become such an instrumental part of my musical identity. Head Down has become such a favorite of mine, though as I was first listening the song was weird to me. Anywho, great band, great music all the way through and just wanted to share. Rock on.
