Every time I enter or leave HSL I get hit with a fucking wall of aura from those piss yellow/blue backpacks like damn u locked in can I network with you 🤩🤩🤩like im getting absolutely mogged as a lowly undergrad

I know this subreddit has seen a million mental health rants but my next therapy appointment is in a few weeks and i have nobody else to talk to so here we are. I'm in my 3rd year and honestly I dont think I can do this anymore. I have no life outside of school cause I have one close friend who doesn't even go to mac and I can't rely on my gpa anymore cause I've been fucking things up all year. I have no job and my parents pay for everything for me so I can't even drop out and pay them back because where the hell am I getting over 35k from. I'm tired and so fucking over everything but I can't do anything about it so I'm just stuck in an endless loop of losing my mind right when I think I'm getting better and at this rate I won't even be able to finish this semester. I don't even know if I'm writing this post cause I need advice or someone to tell me to suck it up or what but I'm sick of keeping all this shit in my head

Why does Tim Hortons latte taste like shit

I’m a first time ta and I normally end class pretty early because participation is literally in the gutter. My supervisor wants us to make time for a lot of discussion but literally no one puts their hand up and idk what to do… ive tried multiple different ways to participate and they aren’t much better…i feel so bad for ending early but i don’t have the expertise to turn it into a full on lecture. would you guys be pissed if your ta ends early a lot (~20 mins early on 50 min tut)

I know u guys r gatekeeping but any hints towardsa good spot wil b much appreciated

I waisted 2 hours looking for a decent study spot with an outlet since they all were either to crowded or unavailable

I’m genuinly so tired please help 🙏

🙏🙏🙏 pls

Wth is wrong with this school and its horrible parking management. I drove today because I was running behind, I ran behind even MORE looking for parking. The stadium is empty and it says it’s full. Be actually so fr. Trying to force people to get the parking pass, but I don’t and can’t drive everyday.

Am I the only one who’s disappointed in the grade they received for the first socpsy 1z03 assignment? On top of that, i feel the feedback i got was extremely vague so i have no clue what i didn’t do well on.

Dr. Balas quizzes are insane. 1 hour is not enough time, this quiz was slightly easier than the last but could not get through it in an hour. He also picked the silliest things to ask, left out everything that actually felt useful and important to study other than bayes theorem. Terrified for the midterm. Does it get better 🫩

I wanna get more involved with campus more what club to join that I can meet people

grade 11 student and i’m looking to apply to this program. i’m just wondering whats the average i should be aiming for. because im getting a lot of conflicting information about mid 80s to like mid 90s.

I've used 2 MSAF type B's before for small assignments (10-20%, diff terms, last school year). I've submitted them due to severe sickness that always comes around during this time of year and I haven't been asked for documentation for the two that I have used.

Does anybody know if this level of leniency decreases the more MSAF Type B's you submit total? Or is it only in regards to how many you submit per term and I likely won't be asked for documentation this term as well? This is a 35% midterm as well so I'm not too sure. I don't want to go pay 50+ bucks for a doctors note from my family doctor for the 3rd time just for them to not even ask for one.

Any advice on what I should study for this midterm? What should I focus on the most? I haven’t been very regular in his classes, my fault, can’t help but be bored but i’m working on it.

Are the past papers actually helpful? I wanna at least pass and do good on this so, any advice is appreciated!!!

I made a study site for the OB midterm on Thursday (IBH 1BA3, Dr. McAteer) and figured I'd share it.

Everything on it comes from what she said in class, my handwritten notes, the textbook, and her slides and audio lectures.

What's on it:

- 3 full 100-question practice exams, same week order and split as the real one

- 20-question sprints that mark as you go, plus a redo of whatever you got wrong

- Flashcards for every key term, by week

- All 72 Top Twelve takeaways as a multiple-choice quiz

- The 13 questions she went over in the last class

It's free, you just put in your email. I'll send the next one when I make it for the final.

- Did you apply to McMaster or Momac? Where did you get in?
- Do you like it so far?
- What was your Casper & ur grades?

Thank you so much! :)

Hi! I'm a life sciences student at McMaster looking into taking linguist 2sl3, introduction to ASL. Can anyone tell me what this is like? For example, how the professor is, midterms, and assignments? I've been wanting to start learning ASL for a while, and I am wondering if this is a good way to start. Any advice or insight is much appreciated!

Like hello??????

Good day to anyone seeing this! I have a few questions as someone who is interested in McMasters Health Science program. I've done my research but there's nothing better than getting first hand info from people who have experienced this program at this intuition.

1. What's more better, McMaster or Uoft in terms of Health/Life Sciences. Like in terms of which you could get a higher GPA in once you're in the program.

2. What are the requirements? Not like what's on their page, because I knew this person in my school who had a 98% average in grade 12, was valedictorian and had crazy accomplishments and volunteer feats yet they got rejected and I was appalled, If someone with that average couldn't get in, is there really hope? I need as much advice as possible and please be specific

3. I'm hearing a lot of things about how Uoft's teaching feels like a factory since there's so many students and not enough individualized teaching. Compared to McMaster where they give a fair amount of work and assignments (obviously it's still hard) but I just wanted to know more.

4. Anyone who is currently in McMaster's health science program / previously was or currently in Uoft's life science program / previously was, please give me your intake on this.

5. If there are people in other programs but it can still lead to med school please give me your intake.

Thank you!! (Please don't insult me for my questions, I'm just curious, and if you cant answer, then just ingore)
