I'm relocating and purchased a home. My house can be routed and wired for internet, but my current service is Verizon and I only plan on using Verizon 5g home internet if I have no options left. Not to volunteer additional information, I did fly out and lodged near the area where I'm relocating, and I'll say I'm not too impressed with Verizon's coverage on the Waldo Road area, especially when you drive past GNV airport, Verizon goes from 5g to 2 bars of LTE.
My research indicates my best options are to do the following:
Keep Verizon cell service, and get IQ fiber internet (they're not in my area, but they'll reach out to me if they can service there)
AT&T fiber but I hate AT&T because their coverage is bad
Cox (lol, cox) which seems to be the biggest monopoly here just like Xfinity is the monopoly of Jacksonville, FL. Reviews of Cox seem to be mixed, favoring negative compared to positive. Cox or Pavlov.
Put up with my Verizon 5g home internet. I'll get a good budget price, but it's just 5g tower.
if anyone has any suggestions, or info about IQ fiber availability reaching locations that it's website says "Stay tuned! We’re not in your area just yet — but we can’t wait to get there!", I am all ears.
(for context: all I ever need in my life is phone service, internet, that's it. No dumb Hulu, Disney, Netflix, HBO, none of that nonsense. I'm perfectly content with a phone that works, and YouTube. Just phone.. internet.. and anything else I'm going to figure out how to put you in jail for elder abuse/the reason why boomers are 80%~ of the cable lamestream media market to this very breathing second. Again, I don't impose my beliefs onto others)
