MEDIA Seems like the Blunderbuss and Dragoon are coming to BR.
Nice to see them finally taking advantage of the huge backlog of weapons they have.

Got some sunbeam, moonglow, and a piece of spectrolite! Not too bad. Gonna make myself a power level 160 nocturno đ (Edit: This was made and edited by myself in Autodesk sketchbook with NO usage of AI)

I know it's probably dumb to even ask because I never see anybody run it, so there must be a reason why
I'm leaning more towards getting the gammatron from the collection book for survivors, but im still curious

Hope you all enjoy this Fortnite Save The World trailer that I put together in celebration of Save The World now being Free To Play! It took... ages to gather the footage and edit.

I've been playing STW since 2017. Every weapon maxed out, collection book completed level 1000 And then, one day, someone hacks into your account and takes everything away from you. And here's a spoiler for you: nobody is going to help you, just like nobody helped me.

Hear me out on this, because the timeline makes too much sense.
Epic Games doesnât put in the massive amount of work they have over the last two years without it being profitable in some wayâespecially not for a game that went free-to-play. The only logical explanation for the state of the game right now is heavy AI integration and prompt-based "vibe coding".
To Epic, the math is simple: AI = more content (not necessarily better) = more profit. Look at Tim Sweeneyâs absolute obsession with AI game development on his X profile. He literally announced a "huge pivot" toward maximum AI acceleration.
If you think this is just a conspiracy theory, Epic literally just admitted that the new preview launcher was fully vibe coded. Their official announcement literally read: "Programming is hard. So, instead of doing that, we vibe coded a new Epic Games Launcher." They completely ditched hand-written code for AI prompts. And we all saw how that wentâit hilariously launched Among Us when people tried to boot up Fortnite!
Look at what happened with the leadership shift when Steve Allison left. The new guy put in charge of the Epic Games Launcher, Martin Keely, was also put in charge of Epic Online Servicesâwhich handles our matchmaking.
The results speak for themselves: we now have a buggy, disastrous launcher paired with an even worse matchmaking system. This isn't the future of "good" AI use; it looks like the roadmap for a gaming company digging its own grave.
Was the Homebase Hub just the ultimate exam to pass the AI dev/vibe coding test? Or is this broken launcher the real final boss?

Iâm trying to run fortnite on my pc for the first time in a while and everytime i try to start the game my entire pc starts to lag really bad. I moved the files from my HDD to SSD and updated app my drivers to try and help but itâs still not working. I also noticed that when Iâm watching my performance in task manager, my HDD goes to 100% when i open the game. Should that be happening even though I reinstalled the game on my SSD? Iâm not very tech savvy so any help would be appreciated!

Letâs face it Fortnite is ran by a corporation who forgot about the reason they made such a fun innovative and artistic game such as save the world. So the real way we get them to pay attention is money. I will be submitting a feature request list and Iâd appreciate it if youâd all look it over and add or subtract ideas you think wouldnât work. I genuinely think thereâs some base to all of these points in getting them more players and more money.
Save the World feedback from a longtime player
STW has held its player base for years with almost no promotion while other modes came and went. That's a loyal PvE audience most games would kill for. Here's how I think you could grow it and make it pay for itself:
Visibility. Put STW back on the main mode select. Every time it gets promoted the numbers jump (free to play launch hit 100k+), then it sinks once it's buried in Discover again.
Trading. Bring it back with gates instead of turning it off. Unlock it after an account hits a certain age or power level, or allow one way gifting from high level to low level players with daily caps. Stops bot farms but lets vets help newbies through the grind.
Sell gold. Direct purchase only for PERK-UP!, survivors, and storage, never llamas. PvE pay to progress hurts nobody since a geared player helps their squad. Keep free gold rates where they are so it's a time saver, not a wall.
Homebase as a real base. Make the Storm Shield a place to customize and show off. Paid cosmetic building kits and decor, display spots for rare heroes and weapons, and let friends visit. Missions could drop trophies and materials you bring back and build with.
Paid story expansions. Finish the campaign and sell new chapters like DLC. Vets would pay to see Twine Peaks get an ending. And a 6 star region
Paid track on Ventures seasons, plus hero skins usable in both STW and BR so STW gets a cut of the shop and BR players see it exists.
Big boss raids. Build on Storm King and Challenge the Rift with multi phase bosses, learnable patterns, and weekly reward lockouts. Monetize with boss trophies and themed cosmetics, never paid entry.
Factions. Server wide factions competing on shared goals like shields defended or husks killed, with territory on a world map, shared resource storage, and live events where factions push storm fronts together. Keep it mostly PvE. Sell faction banners, emotes, and decor.
Event heroes. Hard to earn or buyable, strong but not broken, and they come back in future events. Make an exclusive skin variant the limited part.
Supporter packs once a year with cosmetics and gold for vets who want to back the mode.
Support-A-Creator for STW. Give creators who make STW content a better SAC cut on STW purchases like gold, Ventures passes, and base kits. Right now there's no reason for creators to cover the mode, so they don't, and that's half of why new players never hear about it. Pay them to play it and they'll bring their audiences with them.
STW doesn't need a reboot. It needs to be seen and to earn its own budget. Thanks for bringing it back free, please keep building on it.

So it could be just an error in my PS4, but I was playing Fortnite yesterday just fine, turned it on today and suddenly Fortnite wasn't there. Ever happened to anyone else? I know I didn't accidentally uninstall it myself, because the buttons are multiple columns away from each other and also uninstalling takes like 3 steps.
