Robert Califonia was a nice change.
It was good to see a boss who wasn't all about the company and wasn't direct. Felt that he was unique in his own way compared to the other bosses we met.
He is also like a competent and much more charismatic Creed. I think he was a good think after Michael left.

Who could have complained that Pam was doing too much wedding business on company hour?
Would you do the same thing? If it was Jim, would he have been man enough to admit it to her later on?

Six Roberts?
The Office has at least 6 characters with the first name Robert.
- Robert Dunder, the founder of Dunder-Mifflin
- Robert Mifflin, the founder of Dunder-Mifflin
- Robert "Bob" Vance, Vance Refigeration
- Robert "Broccoli Rob" Blatt, of Here Comes Treble fame
- Robert Lipton, the State Senator, Angela and Oscar's love interest
- Robert California, the
villainCEO of Season 8.
Honorable mention: 1 episode guest character "Robert from Weyerhammer Paper" in S9 episode Paper Airplane.
I looked into it, and curiously Robert was the #1 name from 1920 to 1939 so nearly 20 years. Robert Dunder was born in 1920 and Robert Mifflin in 1919, so that kinda checks out.
Robert California born in 1960, and Robert was still #5 popular name. I don't know the exact age of Bob Vance but let's say roughly the same age as California. And let's put Robert Lipton here as well, born in 1964. It was the #5 name from 1959 to 1971.
Broccoli Rob, let's say same age as Andy Bernard so born in ≈1973, it was still the #7 boys name.
So... Kudos for being statistically accurate, I guess?
The name rankings I took from https://genname.io/trends/robert .
Did I miss anyone?

Which side character among them in the show was the most fun to watch, in your opinion?
Personally, any scene with Robert California in it will always be an engaging and standout moment in the series because of how enigmatic and commanding his performance is onscreen.

Make a story!!
Okay, so basically, the aim is just to make a story together for fun!
Everyone adds a sentence or a few lines to continue the story, and we see how ridiculous it gets. You can introduce characters, add plot twists, make jokes, whatever you want!
Rules:
- Keep it related to The Office.
- Try to continue from where the last person left off.
- You can make the story as chaotic and ridiculous as you want.
- Don't take it too seriously. It's just for fun!

TOBY YOU ABSOLUTE FOOL YOU HAD HER
This scene where toby tries asking pam out at reception only to freeze up and completely choke the second her phone rings makes me legitimately angry
And pam literally admits in season 4 that she used to think he was cute , THIS DUMMY ACTUALLY HAD A CHANCE

What was the original plan for Andy?
One thing that often gets brought up is the sudden turn Andy takes from Season 8 to Season 9. He goes from a flawed underdog protagonist to a flighty, unstable weirdo filling an unsympathetic, sometimes outright antagonistic role for much of the final season.
Some feel this was an outright character assassination - people often frame this as the writers punishing Ed Helms for signing on to Hangover Part 3 even though it messed up his availability.
Others I’ve seen more recently view Andy as a wholly inconsistent character who never really cohered at all.
I’ve often pursued a middle ground, feeling there was definitely a shift but that it built on established threads and Andy isn’t that unlikeable. On my most recently rewatch, I do stand by this to an extent. From the last stretch of Season 8 on, it does look like the writers are building up Andy’s fragility and sense of directionlessness, culminating in him ruining the life he’d built then having a huge public crashout at the end of Season 9. However, I also can’t deny on this rewatch that there is a swerve - particularly in he and Erin’s relationship and her leaving him for Pete.
What I want to know is, have the writers ever hinted at how they originally wanted to write Andy before the big change-up? Are we looking at a plotline that got gutted and reworked by Helms’ availability? Or was there a fundamental rewrite?
