New Season of Tokyo Diner!
Holy crap, I didn't even know this was coming to Netflix. Anyone else love the original seasons as much as me? I stumbled upon the show and binged it during the pandemic. This brings back memories. Anyways, Master has aged quite a bit! Looking forward to this season.

Jimmy McGuire Leaves Job As Wheel of Fortune Stage Manager
Despite the speculation from other news outlets, McGuireâs departure has nothing to do with Jim Thornton being suspended (and subsequently fired) from the show. This episode taped on August 27, five days BEFORE any action was taken against Thornton. He was still actively doing his announcing work when McGuire decided to leave.

Since the Poker Face sub is dead/locked: My thoughts on the Season 2 finale and the wild Peter Dinklage news
I know I am a bit late to the party on this one since the show has been over for a while, but I just recently completed both seasons of Poker Face. I originally wanted to post this in the dedicated show subreddit, but it looks like the moderators have locked it down.
Since it's all fresh to me, I wanted to bring my thoughts over to a broader TV community to see if anyone else felt the same way about how things wrapped up.
First off, I really loved how the show started. Being a huge fan of Orange Is the New Black, seeing Natasha Lyonne and Dascha Polanco share the screen again was amazing, and I was genuinely looking forward to watching their friendship blossom. Natalie's sudden death completely caught me off guard. While Iâm sad Dascha didn't get to have a bigger role, I totally understand why it had to happen for the plot, and I loved how Charlie ultimately got justice for her.
As the show went on, there were so many great moments. I instantly recognized the voice playing Beatrix Hasp before she even fully appeared, such an iconic voice. I was also completely blindsided by Alex being a psychopath. I think I got so used to Charlie catching everyone else's bullshit that I completely overlooked the obvious clues right in front of me for the sake of the narrative.
That being said, I have to admit I was sorely disappointed with the ending. After Charlie got into the semi-truck, I was fully waiting for a moment where sheâd look over and say, "Hey, it's finally nice to meet you." I felt certain the driver was going to be the guy sheâd been talking to on the ham radio, the one whose apartment she stayed in. It felt like a massive missed opportunity for a great full-circle moment.
What did you all think of the two seasons overall?
Since I just finished it, I only recently found out about the crazy news surrounding its cancellation on Peacock and Rian Johnson's wild plan for the future. I found this statement online regarding a potential third season:
"According to Deadline, Poker Face will not return for Season 3 on Peacock, but Johnson isnât calling it quits on the showâs potential future and is currently shopping the show around to other networks for a possible two-season deal. The plan also involves recasting the role of Charlie Cale to Peter Dinklage, but Natasha Lyonne would continue her executive producer role behind the scenes."
Honestly, I would be so sad losing Natasha on screen. Charlie Cale is Natasha Lyonne to me. Not to mention, I'm incredibly confused about how they would even handle the transition from her to Peter Dinklage in-universe.
What are your thoughts on how the series left off, and for those who have known about the Peter Dinklage news for a bit, do you think a recast version on a different network could actually work?
