I couldn't find a tower defense my friends and I could play together on the same field, so I made one!
In RATS!! you're these cut funny farmhands on foot. You build towers where you stand, sell the ones that aren't working in the middle of a wave, and cable two together into a combo (a tar pot and a brazier set the whole lane on fire).
The rats don't want to fight you but instead, they grab sacks of grain and run for home, so someone always has to chase them down. I added cool remixes to make things interesting, special insane modes, endless modes, and more!
Up to four players, on the couch or online through Steam, with drop-in. Four worlds, a crowned rat boss in each, and a 1v1 mode for when co-op gets too friendly.
It's on Steam as Coming Soon, and a free co-op demo is coming in December. Link in the comments.
What's the co-op game your group always ends up arguing over?

Hi! We're a small team from Portugal and this is a major update for our free anomaly horror game, Doctor's Appointment.
Quick recap if you haven't seen it: you're stuck in a clinic waiting room that keeps repeating. If something's wrong, you take the EXIT. If everything's normal, you go into the exam room. Since 1.5 there's also an online mode for 3 players: one of you is the doctor, watching the waiting room on CCTV and picking what goes wrong in each room, and the other two have to find it and leave through the same door. There's voice chat, but the doctor hears you through the camera mics.
Here's what's new in 1.6:
Lockdowns
Two new scare cards for the doctor. Both lock the doors while they play out, and they never show up in the first three rooms.

- He is in the room: both doors slam shut, and the doctor bursts out of the staff door and hunts you around the seats for 18 seconds. He's slower than you, but if he touches you, the team loses a life. The doctor player can walk him himself. In the second act you can only see him through the camera.
- Someone on the other side: the doors lock, and someone starts pounding and pulling on them from behind, faster and faster. Then silence, and the exit opens by itself.
Both count as anomalies, so when the doors let go the right answer is the EXIT. The journalists also get a new card for this, the master key: it opens the doors again, but whatever locked them is still in there with you.
Only the camera sees it.
Four new anomalies that the player without a camera can't see at all. Only the camcorder (and the doctor's screens) show them: a child standing by the exit, the same woman sitting twice, bloody hands on the reception glass, and words on the wall. So the one holding the camera has to convince the other one which door to take.

The doctor drives more
Two more cards the doctor now controls live: he picks which journalist the old man stares at, and which camera feed shows up on the TV.

Other changes:
- The game now tells you when there's a new version, on the title screen and in the co-op lobby, with a link to the download. Online needs everyone on the same version, so this should save some confusion. It only asks our website which version is current; nothing about you is sent.
- No group? There's now a link to our Discord on the title screen to find other players.
- Locked doors say "Locked" and rattle when you try the handle.

Fixes
- Players were getting dropped in the middle of a match. That one was on our server, so it's already fixed for everyone.
- Your mic stayed on after a partner left the match. It now closes with the match.
- A round could start on one PC while the others were still loading, and get stuck. The doctor's first hand now waits until both journalists are ready.
- Drowning in the blood room put you in the wrong place afterwards.
- If you got caught on your last life, the other journalist could get pulled back into the waiting room.
- The doctor could fire more than 3 lures by clicking fast.
- If the doctor opened his cards or the chat while walking the stalker, the stalker kept walking on his own.
- "Escape without losing a life" unlocked even if you lost one and won it back with a bet.
- Practicing against the computer doctor no longer unlocks the 3-player achievements.
One heads-up: online, 1.6 only plays with 1.6, so everyone in your group needs the new version.
It's free on Windows, Mac and Linux, three rounds so everyone gets a turn as the doctor, about half an hour. If you've got two friends this Halloween week, it's a good one to play in the dark. It's still an open beta, so feedback is very welcome, especially what broke and who screamed first.

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for a couple of specific game recommendations to play with a friend. Both games need to be completely free (no forced paywalls to progress).
Here is exactly what we are looking for:
Game 1: Windows PC (Real-time Co-op)
Platform: Windows PC.
Price: 100% Free.
Vibe/Gameplay: True Co-op (PvE). We want to play together simultaneously against the environment or AI, definitely not against each other.
Accessibility: Must be incredibly beginner-friendly. The person I am playing with has basically zero gaming experience, so the controls and mechanics need to be very simple to pick up.
Hard NOs: No Shooters, no RPGs, and absolutely nothing like League of Legends or DOTA (no MOBAs).
Game 2: Android (Casual Asynchronous Co-op)
Platform: Android.
Price: 100% Free.
Gameplay: A casual Co-op game, but it has to be turn-based / asynchronous. We want something where we don't have to be online at the same time. Just a game where one person can make their move when they have time, and the other person can reply later during their commute or break.
Are there any hidden gems that fit these descriptions? If you need any more info from me to narrow it down, just ask!
Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi!
I'm the dev and on November 11th I'm releasing the MarchMallows Demo on Steam!
It's two games in one:
- A co-op puzzle game in the spirit of Lemmings. 100 marshmallows walk straight ahead no matter what, and you and your friends place springs, signs, bridges and blocks bring them to saftey.
- PvP Party games: Sugar Rush (an obstacle course race), Cake Royale (throw cake, knock people into the water) and Marchie Flight (launch off a spring and glide to the islands).
You can play the puzzles singleplayer or online with friends. There's a level editor too, so you can build your own puzzles and share them with friends.
I'd love to hear what you think, and if it looks like your kind of chaos, a wishlist helps a lot.

I finally released it.
I will later patch a story video and an additional stage.
The last two weeks I added achievements, damage preview system and multilanguage support.
Today I will lower the Chance for Reward Cards on Death, but will enable to continue at the beginning of the current map.
The Coop mode is offline or online, you can also play more than one character in any case.

Hey! I’m a 29yo chill guy from Aus looking for some people to play and chat with. I play a variety of random games, friendslop, indie stuff, incrementals, roguelikes, whatever looks fun. I’m a game designer myself, so I’m always keen to try new stuff. I like meeting new people and just chilling.
I’m free weekdays from around 6 or 7pm AEDT. Looking for PC players, and you can be from anywhere as long as you’re happy playing then haha.
Starting with CRACK (the new egg game), but keen for any co-op stuff after that. No tryhards.

Me and my two friends just finished peak and big walk (we also played REPO) but now we don't have anything to play :(
So we are looking for a coop game. It needs to be pretty cheap (less than 20), no fancy graphics OR an option to lower the graphics in game, playable at 3 players online
Any recommandations ?

I was thinking about common etiquette and unspoken rules in video games, especially in co-op games. For example, in WOW classic, people would queue up to kill the Hogger NPC or in SMASH, if someone loses a life by accident, you also lose a life out of courtesy by jumping off the stage. Not what the gamedev planned, just something the community started enforcing.
I was wondering if you all had any co-op game examples you can think of. Especially if it pisses you off.

- Risk of Rain 2
- Peak
- RV There Yet
- Endless Legend
- Deep Dish Dungeon
- Over The Hill
- Valheim
- V Rising
Et on a encore plein de sessions ouvertes qui n’attendent plus que des joueurs pour pouvoir commencer, entre autre :
- Sons of the Forest
- Minecraft
- Warhammer Darktide/Vermintide
- REPO
- Helldivers 2
…

Looking for a relaxed co-op game to play with friends? Pao Pao is out now on Steam.
You run a restaurant together as fluffy animal chefs (cats, foxes, raccoons and more). It’s built for teamwork: split up to fish for ingredients, handle cooking mini-games, serve orders before customers leave, and expand the place with greenhouses and aquariums. When the daytime rush is over, you can explore the open-world city at night, take on quests, and customize your chef. It also plays fine solo.
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3024130/Pao_Pao/
We’re the developers (ArtDock), so ask us anything. What’s your favorite co-op game to play with friends?
