I just revisited my finances and I'm crashing out. I understand that I am still doing very well but it still just seems so useless now. I've been saving and living below my means for the last 8 years since graduating college. I paid off my loans, I have no debts and I saved up 100K. I see it as a huge achievement and I decided to look on redfin just to see what I can get with that. Spoiler- nothing (except mobile home maybe, which I am not considering). I found apartments for ~500K, meaning I could put down 20%. But the mortgage calculator gave me a monthly payment that is bigger than my gross take home salary. I am tied down by a job to this area for now and I'm trying to not loose hope. I am definitely still proud of myself and will continue to save. Just maybe not as fervently anymore🥲

I’ve been up scaling my haunted house for the last 6 years as a free event for the community! It’s on Santa Teresa and Chesbro! It’s Scream themed, and I’ll have 20 actors out there! In the previous years it’s been just a movie set recreation, but this year I’ve have constructed a walk through with a friend and you’ll be able to walk through scenes from the movie and some creations of mine own!

so this happened at skinspirit a few week ago and i'm still kind of annoyed about it. it was my first time getting anything done, so i asked around and a couple of friends told me to go to skinspirit and ask for andrea specifically, said she was really good and natural. so i called the clinic and ask to, booked with her, they scheduled me and sent a confirmation. i get there, check in, sit down, and after like 5 minutes someone comes out and says there's been a charge, andrea isn't with them anymore. i ask since when and she says yesterday, it was really abrupt, she didn't give them any warning. then she introduces me to the new girl who's 'taken over her patients' and asks if i'm ok proceeding. i kind of froze and said yes. didn't love the result but tbh that's not the part i'm stuck on

few days later i'm on instagram and andrea's account comes up. she's at a different clinic in marin. and i'm scrolling back through her posts and she's been there for 2 YEARS. like not even close to recent. she didn't quit the day before my appointment lol she's been gone forever

so they let me book under her name knowing she doesn't work there, let me show up, and then told me she left a day before?? feels really shady
