Pets & Animal Services Cat abandoned by owner - in need of adoption (San Jose)
My girlfriend is temporarily holding onto a cat whose owner apparently took her collar off and left her on the streets. She's temporarily been given the name Cleo.
Girlfriend does not like cats and I don't have the space myself to house her.
She's litter trained but as far as I know not spayed. Very social and likes to follow people around, explore outside and play with toys.
I've already contacted Bay Area Cats but so far it seems they'd only be able to help get her spayed and vaccinated.
Are there other organizations I can contact, or is there anyone willing to adopt?

Cleo is so beautiful! I would snap her up in a heartbeat if we didn’t already have three cats. Your girlfriend doesn’t know what she’s missing, both cats and dogs are amazing. Have you tried your local Humane Society?

Thank you. Yes I'm in the process of contacting several, waiting on a few and the others I've contacted so far have not directly helped with adopting.

Did you get her scanned for a chip? It could just as easily be that she escaped and took off her collar?

Cat does not have a microchip. Vet scanned and confirmed.
Cat appeared one day staying by my girlfriend's house without leaving. Unable to tell where she came from. She left a note on the collar, and then later the cat just came back with no collar and no note.
