I think people are overreacting to our offensive struggles.

Because of the defense, there hasnt been a lot of reason to open up the offensive playboom. Im going off memory here, but im pretty sure theres only one time this season the Vikings have been down by 2 possessions in the 2nd half. They proceeded to put up 29 in the wnd half, 22 of it in the 4th quarter for our largest margin of victory. So until i see another 2 score deficit, Im not entirely sure the playbook doesnt have big plays in waiting, we just arent showing them on tape until we need to. I could be wrong, but i think gamesmanship plays a role on the "struggling offense".

Despite being backed by a good special teams unit and a great defense. Though some Vikings fans will tell you that because we’re 6-0 that everyone should just keep smiling.

Shitpost Yall need to stop acting like fantasy football owners. JT isn’t worth more than a 3rd, and the market knows that

RBs simply don’t have the value. It’s more than likely JT next year will decline sharply, RB lifespans are shorter than any other position. Not to mention no team has the money to pay dearly for a good RB. No GM makes a lot of room for them. Which we actually don’t have room for next year.

Vikings fandoms tough, it’s time to do something

Started watching this team during the 2009 run and had no idea at the time that OT loss would be the closest they’d come to reaching the SB for the next 17 years. IMO this is the best they’ve looked since then.

We haven’t had it easy as fans. Yes there have been miraculous plays and some incredible highs but it always ends in something crushing. Two years ago, going into the lions game, I said to my buddy “We might actually have a shot this year”. They proceeded to shit down their leg in the most Vikings way imaginable, giving up 9 sacks and never looking remotely competitive. I’m tired of it. The Eagles, 49ers, Rams and Packers have all taken turns killing us in the playoffs the last 15 years. And do you know what they’ve all done recently? Made big splash acquisitions for all pro caliber players.

They need to make a hard run at Jonathan Taylor. We can’t count on KOC’s play calling and this will give us a simple game plan that takes him out of the equation. It will make us significantly less QB dependant, fixing the two biggest problems on offence simultaneously. Walker looks great on the chiefs and Barkley, Henry and Mcafferey have all helped their teams immensely. I don’t see why JT can’t have that effect for us.

Flores is taking QB’s to the wood shed, Reichard is absolutely nails and Price is flipping field position every time he touches the ball. Teasley needs to , capitalize on this opportunity. If not JT then look at Buckner or Buddha Baker. Adding another stud DT with Turner, Cashman, AVG and Redmond or putting BB beside the Hitman will have us looking even scarier. Let’s take advantage of this gift of a season and actually go all in, cause there are no guarantees in this league.

SKOL!!

Let's talk about the Vikings uniforms. :)

These are among my absolute favorite uni's in the franchise's history. I love the simple, stylistic, matte look. But after watching all of these highlights lately (celebrating Harrison Smith's recent accomplishment), it occurred to me that we're reaching a point where, historically, a redesign is almost inevitable. Smith has been around since 2012, wearing the same uni design Favre wore early on. You know, that over-stylized, shiny, almost cartoonish one? But shortly thereafter he started wearing the current uni and has joined the 40-20 club, most of that action taking place in the current design. If you were 10 (in third or 4th grade) when Smith was a rookie, you're in your mid twenties now, probably out of college. Maybe married with kids. Holy shit.

I personally think they should lean into the simplistic look. I like bold, matte finishes. Maybe make the purple a bit darker and more intimidating. Make typefacing bolder. Make the entire aesthetic as undeniable/inevitable as possible.

Where would you like the uniforms to go from here?

KOC should apply the George Costanza “opposite” rule

I swear if he did, we’d get a few 31-10 wins. His predictability is an albatross around the neck. Death and she, Life in Death, they throw their dice for the crew.

Roster Move Trade deadline speculation

It sucks we weren’t in on Nelson at LG and I’m one that believes we also need to shore up our interior of the defensive line as well(albeit more in regards to depth rather than a big name). I’m all in on JT as well, but in regard to our big men, do you think there are any other strong Guards available for trade on the market? I know Dickerson is a name but didn’t Mailata play LG for Philly during their Super Bowl run? Anyway, I was curious what your guys’ thoughts were as we inch closer to November 10th.

Are there any good examples/breakdowns explaining why the Vikings might struggle against upcoming competition?

The title was supposed to say "Vikings defense".

All I'm seeing on tv and online are examples of what makes this defense great and dangerous, and I'm wondering how increasingly nervous quarterbacks are seeing the vikings on the schedule.

If k1 can’t improve before the deadline we should trade for Kirk Cousins. Our weapons are too good and special teams are too good our defense is too good to waste

Discussion Predictions for how the Vikings Lions game will go?

I could see it going either way. Our defense could hold any offense in this league to 10 points or less. But we’re going to need to find a way to get the offense going. We gotta take advantage of this shitty lions defense

r/minnesotavikings • • 11h ago

There isn't a single social media platform with Vikings fans that hasn't posted about Jonathan Taylor being on our team. I worry about the mental state of our fans if we don't get him. 😭

The vikings should not fire KOC under any circumstances.

He is 6-0 and on an 11 game win streak.

he has built a winning culture that wins on the margins.

Ownership has a long term vision that by all probable indications is working.

Keep up the negativity, boys. It's working

Keep up the negativity, boys. It's working.

I just want to say you guys are doing a fantastic job keeping expectations low this year.

I know we're 6-0, but whatever you do, DO NOT GET EXCITED.

The second we start believing this team is actually good, we all know exactly what's going to happen. We've been through this too many times.

So keep calling us the worst 6-0 team in NFL history. Keep criticizing every win. Keep expecting the inevitable collapse.

Because if we can somehow maintain this level of pessimism all season, we might just go undefeated and win the Super Bowl.

Whatever you do, don't start believing. SKOL.

Say what you will.. but Kwesi would've made the Jonathan Taylor trade by now.. you hear that Nolan Teasley? Our ex GM knew when to give us what we want.

Feel free to get in on the action. Dumb little thing I’ve been doing in the meme war sub. The skill positions always get more activity but today is for most memeable Center in NFC North history. My fellow Vikings fans have been the least active in the votes, so I figured I’d repost to try to inflate the numbers in our favor. Skol

Discussion The Seahawks traded a 2027 3rd Rounder and a 2028 5th Rounder for Nelson. What would JT realistically cost?

We have about 10 picks in 2027 (9 + A projected 6th round comp pick for Jalon Nailor).

  • 2027 1st

  • 2027 2nd

  • 2027 3rd

  • 2027 3rd (Philly)

  • 2027 4th (Thielen trade)

  • 2027 5th

  • 2027 5th (Carolina)

  • 2027 5th (NYG)

  • 2027 6th

  • 2027 6th (NYJ)

  • 2027 6th* (Comp Pick for Nailor)

  • 2027 7th (Harrison Phillips trade)

JT is a 27 year old RB with about two years left on his contract.

I think realistically a 2nd Rounder in 2027 plus a 4th in 2028 for JT and a 7th Rounder in 2027, will get it done.

We have to over pay a bit because the Colts don't have a 1st this year because of the Sauce trade and will be looking to get back as much as they could.

Discussion I don’t think we understand how good our defense is…

Post image
105 Upvotes

Through 7 weeks, we have the 4th least points scored and are 6-0. I mean, look at the other teams with similar point totals, nobody has more than 2 wins. The defense is legitimately carrying us and is one of the best that I have seen. “Defense wins championships” they say, that’ll be put to the test with this team. Also, if we can win 2-3 of our next three and hold their offenses to the numbers we have been, maybe we can start to be viewed as a legitimate contender… we’ll see. SKOL

Fun statistic

We are the only undefeated team. We have only scored 10 touchdowns. The only team with less is the 0-6 Chargers with 9. Every other team has more. Haha, defense rules!
